Philemon 1

1 Paul, a prisoner of Jesus Christ, and Timothy our brother, unto Philemon our dearly beloved, and fellowlabourer,	1 Paolo prigioniero di Gesù Cristo, e il fratello Timoteo, a Filemone diletto, e nostro cooperatore,
2 And to our beloved Apphia, and Archippus our fellowsoldier, and to the church in thy house:	2 E ad Appia sorella carissima, e ad Archippo nostro consoldato, e alla Chiesa, che è nella tua casa.
3 Grace to you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.	3 Grazia a voi, e pace da Dio Padre nostro, e dal Signore Gesù Cristo.
4 I thank my God, making mention of thee always in my prayers,	4 Rendo grazie al mio Dio, facendo sempre commemorazione di te nelle mie orazioni,
5 Hearing of thy love and faith, which thou hast toward the Lord Jesus, and toward all saints;	5 Sentendo (qual sia) la tua carità, e la fede, che tu hai nel Signor Gesù, e Terso di tutti i santi:
6 That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.	6 Di modo che evidente si è il partecipare che tu fai alla fede dal conoscersi tutte le buone opere, che sono in voi per Gesù Cristo.
7 For we have great joy and consolation in thy love, because the bowels of the saints are refreshed by thee, brother.	7 Imperocché grande allegrezza ho avuto, e consolazione della tua carità; perché le viscere de' santi sono state da te rifocillate, o fratello,
8 Wherefore, though I might be much bold in Christ to enjoin thee that which is convenient,	8 Per la qual cosa avendo io molta fidanza in Gesù Cristo per comandarti quel che conviene:
9 Yet for love's sake I rather beseech thee, being such an one as Paul the aged, and now also a prisoner of Jesus Christ.	9 Ti prego piuttosto per la carità, tale essendo tu, quale io Paolo vecchio, ora poi anche prigioniero di Gesù Cristo:
10 I beseech thee for my son Onesimus, whom I have begotten in my bonds:	10 Ti scongiuro per lo mio figliuolo, cui ho io generato tralle catene, Onesimo,
11 Which in time past was to thee unprofitable, but now profitable to thee and to me:	11 Il quale una volta fu disutile per te, ora poi è utile e per me, e per te,
12 Whom I have sent again: thou therefore receive him, that is, mine own bowels:	12 Il quale io ho rimandato a te. E tu accoglilo, come mie viscere:
13 Whom I would have retained with me, that in thy stead he might have ministered unto me in the bonds of the gospel:	13 Il quale io bramava di ritener con me, perchè mi servisse in luogo di te tralle catene del vangelo:
14 But without thy mind would I do nothing; that thy benefit should not be as it were of necessity, but willingly.	14 Ma nulla ho volato fare senza il tuo parere, affinchè non fosse quasi forzato, ma volontario il beneficio tuo.
15 For perhaps he therefore departed for a season, that thou shouldest receive him for ever;	15 Imperocché forse per questo si è allontanato per brev' ora da te, affinchè tu lo ricuperassi per l'eternità:
16 Not now as a servant, but above a servant, a brother beloved, specially to me, but how much more unto thee, both in the flesh, and in the Lord?	16 Non più come servo, ma in cambio di servo fratello carissimo, massimamente a me: e quanto più a te, e secondo la carne, e secondo il Signore?
17 If thou count me therefore a partner, receive him as myself.	17 Se adunque tieni me per tuo intrinseco, accoglilo, come me:
18 If he hath wronged thee, or oweth thee ought, put that on mine account;	18 Che se in qualche cosa ti ha fatto danno, od egli è a te debitore; scrivi ciò a conto mio.
19 I Paul have written it with mine own hand, I will repay it: albeit I do not say to thee how thou owest unto me even thine own self besides.	19 Io Paolo ho scritto di pugno: io soddisfarò, per non dirti, che tu devi a me anche te stesso:
20 Yea, brother, let me have joy of thee in the Lord: refresh my bowels in the Lord.	20 Si, o fratello. Ricavi io da te questo frutto nel Signore: ristora le mie viscere nel Signore.
21 Having confidence in thy obedience I wrote unto thee, knowing that thou wilt also do more than I say.	21 Affidato alla tua ubbidienza ti ho scrìtto: sapendo, che farai anche più di quello, ch'io dico.
22 But withal prepare me also a lodging: for I trust that through your prayers I shall be given unto you.	22 Insiememente ancora preparami l'ospizio: imperocché spero, che me diante le vostre orazioni sarò donato a voi.
23 There salute thee Epaphras, my fellowprisoner in Christ Jesus;	23 Ti saluta Epafra compagno della, mia prigionia per Cristo Gesù,
24 Marcus, Aristarchus, Demas, Lucas, my fellowlabourers.	24 Marco, Aristarco, Demade, e Luca, miei ajuti.
25 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.	25 La grazia del Signor nostro Gesù Cristo col vostro spirito. Cosi sia.
