Philemon 1

KING JAMES BIBLE	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS
1 Paul, a prisoner of Jesus Christ, and Timothy our brother, unto Philemon our dearly beloved, and fellowlabourer,	1 Pablo, prisionero de Cristo Jesús y el hermano Timoteo, te saludamos a ti, Filemón, nuestro querido amigo y colaborador,
2 And to our beloved Apphia, and Archippus our fellowsoldier, and to the church in thy house:	2 y a la iglesia que se reúne en tu casa, así como también a la hermana Apia y a nuestro compañero de lucha Arquipo.
3 Grace to you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.	3 Llegue a ustedes la gracia y la paz que proceden de Dios, nuestro Padre y del Señor Jesucristo.
4 I thank my God, making mention of thee always in my prayers,	4 No dejo de dar gracias a Dios siempre que me acuerdo de ti en mis oraciones,
5 Hearing of thy love and faith, which thou hast toward the Lord Jesus, and toward all saints;	5 porque he oído hablar del amor y de la fe que manifiestas hacia el Señor Jesús y en favor de todos los santos.
6 That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.	6 Que tu participación en nuestra fe común te lleve al perfecto conocimiento de todo el bien que ustedes poseen por la unión con Cristo.
7 For we have great joy and consolation in thy love, because the bowels of the saints are refreshed by thee, brother.	7 Por mi parte, yo he experimentado una gran alegría y me he sentido reconfortado por tu amor, viendo como tú, querido hermano aliviabas las necesidades de los santos
8 Wherefore, though I might be much bold in Christ to enjoin thee that which is convenient,	8 Por eso, aunque tengo absoluta libertad en Cristo para ordenarte lo que debes hacer,
9 Yet for love's sake I rather beseech thee, being such an one as Paul the aged, and now also a prisoner of Jesus Christ.	9 prefiero suplicarte en nombre del amor, Yo, Pablo, ya anciano y ahora prisionero a causa de Cristo Jesús,
10 I beseech thee for my son Onesimus, whom I have begotten in my bonds:	10 te suplico en favor de mi hijo Onésimo, al que engendré en la prisión.
11 Which in time past was to thee unprofitable, but now profitable to thee and to me:	11 Antes, él no te presto ninguna utilidad, pero ahora te será muy útil, como lo es para mí.
12 Whom I have sent again: thou therefore receive him, that is, mine own bowels:	12 Te lo envío como si fuera yo mismo.
13 Whom I would have retained with me, that in thy stead he might have ministered unto me in the bonds of the gospel:	13 Con gusto lo hubiera retenido a mi lado, para que me sirviera en tu nombre mientras estoy prisionero a causa del Evangelio.
14 But without thy mind would I do nothing; that thy benefit should not be as it were of necessity, but willingly.	14 Pero no he querido realizar nada sin tu consentimiento, para que el beneficio que me haces no sea forzado, sino voluntario.
15 For perhaps he therefore departed for a season, that thou shouldest receive him for ever;	15 Tal vez, él se apartó de ti por un instante, a fin de que lo recuperes para siempre,
16 Not now as a servant, but above a servant, a brother beloved, specially to me, but how much more unto thee, both in the flesh, and in the Lord?	16 no ya como un esclavo, sino como algo mucho mejor, como un hermano querido. Si es tan querido para mí, cuánto más lo será para ti, que estás unido a él por lazos humanos y en el Señor.
17 If thou count me therefore a partner, receive him as myself.	17 Por eso, si me consideras un amigo, recíbelo como a mí mismo.
18 If he hath wronged thee, or oweth thee ought, put that on mine account;	18 Y si él te ha hecho algún daño o te debe algo, anótalo a mi cuenta.
19 I Paul have written it with mine own hand, I will repay it: albeit I do not say to thee how thou owest unto me even thine own self besides.	19 Lo pagaré yo, Pablo que firmo esta carta de mi puño y letra. No quiero recordarte que tú también eres mi deudor, y la deuda eres tú mismo.
20 Yea, brother, let me have joy of thee in the Lord: refresh my bowels in the Lord.	20 Sí, hermano, préstame ese servicio por amor al Señor y tranquiliza mi corazón en Cristo.
21 Having confidence in thy obedience I wrote unto thee, knowing that thou wilt also do more than I say.	21 Te escribo confiando plenamente en tu docilidad y sabiendo que tú harás más todavía de lo que yo te pido.
22 But withal prepare me also a lodging: for I trust that through your prayers I shall be given unto you.	22 Prepárame también un lugar donde alojarme, porque espero que por las oraciones de ustedes, se les concederá la gracia de que yo vaya a verlos.
23 There salute thee Epaphras, my fellowprisoner in Christ Jesus;	23 Te saluda Epafras, mi compañero de prisión en Cristo Jesús,
24 Marcus, Aristarchus, Demas, Lucas, my fellowlabourers.	24 así como también Marcos, Aristarco, Demas y Lucas, mis colaboradores.
25 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.	25 La gracia del Señor Jesucristo permanezca con tu espíritu.
