1 LORD, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations.	1 (89-1) Молитва Моисея, человека Божия.
2 Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.	2 (89-2) Господи! Ты нам прибежище в род и род.
3 Thou turnest man to destruction; and sayest, Return, ye children of men.	3 (89-3) Прежде нежели родились горы, и Ты образовал землю и вселенную, и от века и до века Ты--Бог.
4 For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night.	4 (89-4) Ты возвращаешь человека в тление и говоришь: 'возвратитесь, сыны человеческие!'
5 Thou carriest them away as with a flood; they are as a sleep: in the morning they are like grass which groweth up.	5 (89-5) Ибо пред очами Твоими тысяча лет, как день вчерашний, когда он прошел, и [как] стража в ночи.
6 In the morning it flourisheth, and groweth up; in the evening it is cut down, and withereth.	6 (89-6) Ты [как] наводнением уносишь их; они--[как] сон, как трава, которая утром вырастает, утром цветет и зеленеет, вечером подсекается и засыхает;
7 For we are consumed by thine anger, and by thy wrath are we troubled.	7 (89-7) ибо мы исчезаем от гнева Твоего и от ярости Твоей мы в смятении.
8 Thou hast set our iniquities before thee, our secret sins in the light of thy countenance.	8 (89-8) Ты положил беззакония наши пред Тобою и тайное наше пред светом лица Твоего.
9 For all our days are passed away in thy wrath: we spend our years as a tale that is told.	9 (89-9) Все дни наши прошли во гневе Твоем; мы теряем лета наши, как звук.
10 The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away.	10 (89-10) Дней лет наших--семьдесят лет, а при большей крепости--восемьдесят лет; и самая лучшая пора их--труд и болезнь, ибо проходят быстро, и мы летим.
11 Who knoweth the power of thine anger? even according to thy fear, so is thy wrath.	11 (89-11) Кто знает силу гнева Твоего, и ярость Твою по мере страха Твоего?
12 So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.	12 (89-12) Научи нас так счислять дни наши, чтобы нам приобрести сердце мудрое.
13 Return, O LORD, how long? and let it repent thee concerning thy servants.	13 (89-13) Обратись, Господи! Доколе? Умилосердись над рабами Твоими.
14 O satisfy us early with thy mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.	14 (89-14) Рано насыти нас милостью Твоею, и мы будем радоваться и веселиться во все дни наши.
15 Make us glad according to the days wherein thou hast afflicted us, and the years wherein we have seen evil.	15 (89-15) Возвесели нас за дни, [в которые] Ты поражал нас, за лета, [в которые] мы видели бедствие.
16 Let thy work appear unto thy servants, and thy glory unto their children.	16 (89-16) Да явится на рабах Твоих дело Твое и на сынах их слава Твоя;
17 And let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish thou it.	17 (89-17) и да будет благоволение Господа Бога нашего на нас, и в деле рук наших споспешествуй нам, в деле рук наших споспешествуй.
