Jeremia 23

1 Weh den Hirten, die die Schafe meiner Weide zugrunde richten und zerstreuen - Spruch des Herrn.	1 “Woe to the shepherds who scatter and tear apart the sheep of my pasture, says the Lord.
2 Darum - so spricht der Herr, der Gott Israels, über die Hirten, die mein Volk weiden: Ihr habt meine Schafe zerstreut und versprengt und habt euch nicht um sie gekümmert. Jetzt ziehe ich euch zur Rechenschaft wegen eurer bösen Taten - Spruch des Herrn.	2 Because of this, thus says the Lord, the God of Israel, to the shepherds who pasture my people: You have scattered my flock, and you have driven them away, and you have not visited them. Behold, I will visit upon you because of your evil pursuits, says the Lord.
3 Ich selbst aber sammle den Rest meiner Schafe aus allen Ländern, wohin ich sie versprengt habe. Ich bringe sie zurück auf ihre Weide; sie sollen fruchtbar sein und sich vermehren.	3 And I will gather together the remnant of my flock from the entire earth, from the places to which I had cast them out. And I will return them to their own fields. And they will increase and be multiplied.
4 Ich werde für sie Hirten bestellen, die sie weiden, und sie werden sich nicht mehr fürchten und ängstigen und nicht mehr verloren gehen - Spruch des Herrn.	4 And I will raise up shepherds over them, and they will pasture them. They will no longer dread, and they will no longer fear. And no one among their number will be seeking more, says the Lord.
5 Seht, es kommen Tage - Spruch des Herrn -, da werde ich für David einen gerechten Spross erwecken. Er wird als König herrschen und weise handeln, für Recht und Gerechtigkeit wird er sorgen im Land.	5 Behold, the days are approaching, says the Lord, when I will raise up to David a righteous branch. And a king will reign, and he will be wise. And he will exercise judgment and justice upon the earth.
6 In seinen Tagen wird Juda gerettet werden, Israel kann in Sicherheit wohnen. Man wird ihm den Namen geben: Der Herr ist unsere Gerechtigkeit.	6 In those days, Judah will be saved, and Israel will live in confidence. And this is the name that they will call him: ‘The Lord, our Just One.’
7 Darum seht, es werden Tage kommen - Spruch des Herrn -, da sagt man nicht mehr: So wahr der Herr lebt, der die Söhne Israels aus Ägypten heraufgeführt hat!,	7 Because of this, behold, the days are approaching, says the Lord, when they will no longer say, ‘As the Lord lives, who led the sons of Israel away from the land of Egypt,’
8 sondern: So wahr der Herr lebt, der das Geschlecht des Hauses Israel aus dem Nordland und aus allen Ländern, in die er sie verstoßen hatte, heraufgeführt und zurückgebracht hat. Dann werden sie wieder in ihrem Heimatland wohnen.	8 but instead, ‘As the Lord lives, who led away and brought back the offspring of the house of Israel from the land of the north and from the entire earth,’ from the places to which I had cast them out. And they will live in their own land.”
9 Über die Propheten: Mir bricht das Herz in der Brust, alle meine Glieder zittern. Wie ein Betrunkener bin ich, wie ein Mann, der vom Wein überwältigt ist, wegen des Herrn und seiner heiligen Worte:	9 To the prophets: “My heart is crushed within me. All my bones are trembling. I have become like an inebriated man, and like a man maddened by wine, before the face of the Lord, and before the face of his holy words.
10 Voll von Ehebrechern ist das Land; ja, wegen des Fluches vertrocknet das Land, sind die Weideplätze der Steppe verdorrt. Schlechtigkeit ist ihr Ziel, Unrecht ihre Stärke.	10 For the earth is full of adulterers! And the earth has mourned before the face of evil talk. The plains of the desert have dried up, and their course has become hazardous, and their firmness has become uneven.”
11 Sogar Prophet und Priester sind ruchlose Frevler, selbst in meinem Haus stoße ich auf ihre Schlechtigkeit - Spruch des Herrn.	11 “For both the prophet and the priest have become polluted, and I have found their wickedness within my own house, says the Lord.
12 Deshalb wird ihr Weg für sie wie ein schlüpfriger Pfad; sie stürzen in der Finsternis, sie kommen darin zu Fall. Denn Unheil bringe ich über sie, das Jahr ihrer Bestrafung - Spruch des Herrn.	12 For this reason, their way will be like a slippery path in the dark. For they will be impelled forward, and they will fall in it. For I will bring evils over them, in the year of their visitation, says the Lord.
13 Zwar habe ich auch bei Samarias Propheten Hässliches gesehen: Sie weissagten im Namen des Baal und verführten mein Volk Israel.	13 And I have seen the foolishness of the prophets of Samaria. They have prophesied in Baal, and they have deceived my people Israel.
14 Aber bei den Propheten Jerusalems sah ich grauenhafte Dinge: Sie brechen die Ehe, gehen mit Lügen um und bestärken die Bösen, sodass keiner umkehrt von seinem bösen Treiben. Für mich sind alle wie Sodom, Jerusalems Einwohner sind für mich wie Gomorra.	14 And in the prophets of Jerusalem, I have seen the likeness of adulterers and the path of falsehood. And they have strengthened the hands of the wicked, so that each one would not convert from his malice. They have all become to me like Sodom, and its inhabitants have become like Gomorrah.”
15 Darum - so spricht der Herr der Heere gegen die Propheten: Ich gebe ihnen Wermut zu essen und Giftwasser zu trinken; denn von den Propheten Jerusalems ist Frevel ausgegangen ins ganze Land.	15 Because of this, thus says the Lord of hosts to the prophets: “Behold, I will feed them absinthe, and I will give them gall to drink. For from the prophets of Jerusalem corruption has gone forth over the entire earth.”
16 So spricht der Herr der Heere: Hört nicht auf die Worte der Propheten, die euch weissagen. Sie betören euch nur; sie verkünden Visionen, die aus dem eigenen Herzen stammen, nicht aus dem Mund des Herrn.	16 Thus says the Lord of hosts: “Do not choose to listen to the words of the prophets who prophesy to you and deceive you. They speak a vision from their own heart, and not from the mouth of the Lord.
17 Immerzu sagen sie denen, die das Wort des Herrn verachten: Das Heil ist euch sicher!;und jedem, der dem Trieb seines Herzens folgt, versprechen sie: Kein Unheil kommt über euch.	17 To those who blaspheme me, they say: ‘The Lord has said: You shall have peace.’ And to every one who walks in the depravity of his own heart, they have said: ‘No evil will overwhelm you.’ ”
18 Doch wer hat an der Ratsversammlung des Herrn teilgenommen, hat ihn gesehen und sein Wort gehört? Wer hat sein Wort vernommen und kann es verkünden?	18 For who has been present in the counsel of the Lord, and who has seen and heard his word? Who has considered his word and heard it?
19 Hört, der Sturm des Herrn [sein Grimm] bricht los. Ein Wirbelsturm braust hinweg über die Köpfe der Frevler.	19 Behold, the whirlwind of the Lord’s indignation will go forth, and a tempest will break out; it will overwhelm the head of the impious.
20 Der Zorn des Herrn hört nicht auf, bis er die Pläne seines Herzens ausgeführt und vollbracht hat. Am Ende der Tage werdet ihr es klar erkennen.	20 The fury of the Lord will not return until it succeeds, and until it completes the plan of his heart. In the last days, you will understand this counsel.
21 Ich habe diese Propheten nicht ausgesandt, dennoch laufen sie; ich habe nicht zu ihnen gesprochen, dennoch weissagen sie.	21 “I did not send these prophets, yet they hurry forward. I was not speaking to them, yet they were prophesying.
22 Hätten sie an meiner Ratsversammlung teilgenommen, so könnten sie meinem Volk meine Worte verkünden, damit es umkehrt von seinem schlechten Weg und von seinen bösen Taten.	22 If they had stood in my counsel, and if I had made my words known to my people, certainly I would have turned them away from their evil ways and from their most wicked plans.
23 Bin ich denn ein Gott aus der Nähe - Spruch des Herrn - und nicht vielmehr ein Gott aus der Ferne?	23 Do you not realize that I am a God close by, says the Lord, and not a God far away?
24 Kann sich einer in Schlupfwinkeln verstecken, sodass ich ihn nicht sähe? - Spruch des Herrn. Bin nicht ich es, der Himmel und Erde erfüllt? - Spruch des Herrn.	24 If a man is hidden in concealed places, do I not see him, says the Lord? Do I not fill up heaven and earth, says the Lord?
25 Ich habe gehört, was die Propheten reden, die in meinem Namen Lügen weissagen und sprechen: Einen Traum habe ich gehabt, einen Traum.	25 I have heard what the prophets have said, prophesying falsehoods in my name, and also saying: ‘I have dreamed! I have dreamed!’
26 Wie lange noch? Haben sie denn wirklich etwas in sich, die Propheten, die Lügen weissagen und selbst erdachten Betrug?	26 How long will this be in the heart of the prophets who predict what is false, and who prophesy deceptions from their own heart?
27 Durch ihre Träume, die sie einander erzählen, möchten sie meinen Namen in Vergessenheit bringen bei meinem Volk, wie ihre Väter meinen Namen wegen des Baal vergessen haben.	27 They want to cause my people to forget my name, by means of their dreams, which each of them describes to his neighbor, just as their fathers forgot my name for the sake of Baal.
28 Der Prophet, der einen Traum hat, erzählt nur einen Traum; wer aber mein Wort hat, der verkündet wahrhaftig mein Wort. Was hat das Stroh mit dem Korn zu tun? - Spruch des Herrn.	28 The prophet who has had a dream, let him describe the dream. And he who receives my word, let him speak my word in truth. For what has the chaff to do with the wheat, says the Lord?
29 Ist nicht mein Wort wie Feuer - Spruch des Herrn - und wie ein Hammer, der Felsen zerschmettert?	29 Are not my words like a fire, says the Lord, and like a hammer crushing rock?
30 Darum gehe ich nun gegen die Propheten vor - Spruch des Herrn -, die einander meine Worte stehlen.	30 Therefore, behold: I am against the prophets, says the Lord, who steal my words, each one from his neighbor.
31 Nun gehe ich gegen die Propheten vor - Spruch des Herrn -, die ihre Zunge gebrauchen, um Sprüche zu machen.	31 Behold, I am against the prophets, says the Lord, who take up their tongues and say: ‘The Lord says it.’
32 Ja, nun gehe ich gegen die Propheten mit ihren erlogenen Träumen vor - Spruch des Herrn; sie erzählen die Träume und verführen mein Volk durch ihre Lügen und ihr freches Geschwätz. Ich aber habe sie weder gesandt noch beauftragt, und sie sind diesem Volk ganz unnütz - Spruch des Herrn.	32 Behold, I am against the prophets, who dream what is false, says the Lord; who explain and so seduce my people with their falsehoods and with their miracles, though I did not send them, nor did I command them. They have offer nothing beneficial to this people, says the Lord.
33 Fragt dich dieses Volk oder ein Prophet oder ein Priester: Was ist der «Last-Spruch» des Herrn?, so antworte ihnen: Ihr selbst seid die Last und ich werfe euch ab - Spruch des Herrn.	33 Therefore, if this people, or a prophet, or a priest questions you, saying, ‘What is the burden of the Lord?’ you shall say to them, ‘You are the burden. And certainly I will cast you away, says the Lord.’
34 Den Propheten aber, den Priester und das Volk, jeden, der sagt: «Last-Spruch des Herrn», den ziehe ich samt seinem Haus zur Rechenschaft - Spruch des Herrn.	34 And as for the prophet, and the priest, and the people who say, ‘The burden of the Lord!’ I will visit upon that man and upon his house.
35 Vielmehr sollt ihr so zueinander und untereinander sagen: Was hat der Herr geantwortet?, oder: Was hat der Herr gesagt?	35 And then you will speak in this way, each one to his neighbor and to his brother: ‘What has the Lord answered? And what has the Lord said?’
36 Aber den Ausdruck «Last-Spruch des Herrn» sollt ihr nicht mehr gebrauchen. Denn «die Last» ist für jeden sein eigenes Wort, weil ihr die Worte des lebendigen Gottes, des Herrn der Heere, unseres Gottes, verdreht habt.	36 And the burden of the Lord will be no longer be called to mind. For each one’s own word will be a burden. For you have perverted the words of the living God, of the Lord of hosts, our God.
37 So soll man zum Propheten sagen: Was hat der Herr dir geantwortet?, oder: Was hat der Herr gesagt?	37 And then you will speak in this way to the prophet: ‘What has the Lord answered you? And what has the Lord spoken?’
38 Wenn ihr aber «Last- Spruch des Herrn», sagt, so sagt der Herr darauf: Weil ihr dieses Wort «Last- Spruch des Herrn» gebraucht, obwohl ich euch verbieten ließ, «Last-Spruch des Herrn» zu sagen,	38 But if you say, ‘The burden of the Lord!’ then because of this, thus says the Lord: Since you have spoken this word, ‘The burden of the Lord!’ though I sent to you telling you not to say: ‘The burden of the Lord,’
39 darum hebe ich euch empor und schleudere euch samt der Stadt, die ich euch und euren Vätern gegeben habe, weg von meinem Angesicht.	39 because of this, behold, I will take you away, like a burden, and I will forsake you, as well as the city that I gave to you and to your fathers, before my face.
40 Ich verhänge über euch ewige Schande und ewige Schmach, die nie vergessen werden soll.	40 And I will give you over to an everlasting reproach and an eternal disgrace, which shall never be wiped away into oblivion.”
