1 Comme Jésus sortait du Temple et s'en allait, ses disciples s'approchèrent pour lui faire voir lesconstructions du Temple.	1 And Jesus departed from the temple and went away. And his disciples approached him, so as to show him the buildings of the temple.
2 Mais il leur répondit: "Vous voyez tout cela, n'est-ce pas? En vérité je vous le dis, il ne resterapas ici pierre sur pierre qui ne soit jetée bas."	2 But he said to them in response: “Do you see all these things? Amen I say to you, there shall not remain here stone upon stone, which is not torn down.”
3 Et, comme il était assis sur le mont des Oliviers, les disciples s'approchèrent de lui, en particulier,et demandèrent: "Dis-nous quand cela aura lieu, et quel sera le signe de ton avènement et de la fin du monde."	3 Then, when he was seated at the Mount of Olives, the disciples drew near to him privately, saying: “Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of your advent and of the consummation of the age?”
4 Et Jésus leur répondit: "Prenez garde qu'on ne vous abuse.	4 And answering, Jesus said to them: “Pay attention, lest someone lead you astray.
5 Car il en viendra beaucoup sous mon nom, qui diront: C'est moi le Christ, et ils abuseront biendes gens.	5 For many will come in my name saying, ‘I am the Christ.’ And they will lead many astray.
6 Vous aurez aussi à entendre parler de guerres et de rumeurs de guerres; voyez, ne vous alarmezpas: car il faut que cela arrive, mais ce n'est pas encore la fin.	6 For you will hear of battles and rumors of battles. Take care not to be disturbed. For these things must be, but the end is not so soon.
7 On se dressera, en effet, nation contre nation et royaume contre royaume. Il y aura par endroitsdes famines et des tremblements de terre.	7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be pestilences, and famines, and earthquakes in places.
8 Et tout cela ne fera que commencer les douleurs de l'enfantement.	8 But all these things are just the beginning of the sorrows.
9 "Alors on vous livrera aux tourments et on vous tuera; vous serez haïs de toutes les nations àcause de mon nom.	9 Then they will hand you over to tribulation, and they will kill you. And you will be hated by all nations for the sake of my name.
10 Et alors beaucoup succomberont; ce seront des trahisons et des haines intestines.	10 And then many will be led into sin, and will betray one another, and will have hatred for one another.
11 Des faux prophètes surgiront nombreux et abuseront bien des gens.	11 And many false prophets will arise, and they will lead many astray.
12 Par suite de l'iniquité croissante, l'amour se refroidira chez le grand nombre.	12 And because iniquity has abounded, the charity of many will grow cold.
13 Mais celui qui aura tenu bon jusqu'au bout, celui-là sera sauvé.	13 But whoever will have persevered until the end, the same shall be saved.
14 "Cette Bonne Nouvelle du Royaume sera proclamée dans le monde entier, en témoignage à laface de toutes les nations. Et alors viendra la fin.	14 And this Gospel of the kingdom shall be preached throughout the entire world, as a testimony to all nations. And then the consummation will occur.
15 "Lors donc que vous verrez l'abomination de la désolation, dont a parlé le prophète Daniel,installée dans le saint lieu (que le lecteur comprenne!)	15 Therefore, when you will have seen the abomination of desolation, which was spoken of by the prophet Daniel, standing in the holy place, may he who reads understand,
16 alors que ceux qui seront en Judée s'enfuient dans les montagnes,	16 then those who are in Judea, let them flee to the mountains.
17 que celui qui sera sur la terrasse ne descende pas dans sa maison pour prendre ses affaires,	17 And whoever is on the roof, let him not descend to take anything from his house.
18 et que celui qui sera aux champs ne retourne pas en arrière pour prendre son manteau!	18 And whoever is in the field, let him not turn back to take his tunic.
19 Malheur à celles qui seront enceintes et à celles qui allaiteront en ces jours-là!	19 So then, woe to those who are pregnant or nursing in those days.
20 Priez pour que votre fuite ne tombe pas en hiver, ni un sabbat.	20 But pray that your flight may not be in winter, or on the Sabbath.
21 Car il y aura alors une grande tribulation, telle qu'il n'y en a pas eu depuis le commencement dumonde jusqu'à ce jour, et qu'il n'y en aura jamais plus.	21 For then there will be a great tribulation, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until the present, and such as will not be.
22 Et si ces jours-là n'avaient été abrégés, nul n'aurait eu la vie sauve; mais à cause des élus, ilsseront abrégés, ces jours-là.	22 And unless those days had been shortened, no flesh would be saved. But for the sake of the elect, those days shall be shortened.
23 "Alors si quelqu'un vous dit: Voici: le Christ est ici! ou bien: Il est là!, n'en croyez rien.	23 Then if anyone will have said to you, ‘Behold, here is the Christ,’ or ‘he is there,’ do not be willing to believe it.
24 Il surgira, en effet, des faux Christs et des faux prophètes, qui produiront de grands signes et desprodiges, au point d'abuser, s'il était possible, même les élus.	24 For there will arise false Christs and false prophets. And they will produce great signs and wonders, so much so as to lead into error even the elect (if this could be).
25 Voici que je vous ai prévenus.	25 Behold, I have warned you beforehand.
26 "Si donc on vous dit: Le voici au désert, n'y allez pas; Le voici dans les retraites, n'en croyezrien.	26 Therefore, if they will have said to you, ‘Behold, he is in the desert,’ do not choose to go out, or, ‘Behold, he is in the inner rooms,’ do not be willing to believe it.
27 Comme l'éclair, en effet, part du levant et brille jusqu'au couchant, ainsi en sera-t-il del'avènement du Fils de l'homme.	27 For just as lightning goes out from the east, and appears even in the west, so shall it be also at the advent of the Son of man.
28 Où que soit le cadavre, là se rassembleront les vautours.	28 Wherever the body shall be, there also will the eagles be gathered together.
29 "Aussitôt après la tribulation de ces jours-là, le soleil s'obscurcira, la lune ne donnera plus salumière, les étoiles tomberont du ciel, et les puissances des cieux seront ébranlées.	29 And immediately after the tribulation of those days, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.
30 Et alors apparaîtra dans le ciel le signe du Fils de l'homme; et alors toutes les races de la terre sefrapperont la poitrine; et l'on verra le Fils de l'homme venant sur les nuées du ciel avec puissance et grandegloire.	30 And then the sign of the Son of man shall appear in heaven. And then all tribes of the earth shall mourn. And they shall see the Son of man coming on the clouds of heaven, with great power and majesty.
31 Et il enverra ses anges avec une trompette sonore, pour rassembler ses élus des quatre vents, desextrémités des cieux à leurs extrémités.	31 And he shall send out his Angels with a trumpet and a great voice. And they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the heights of the heavens, even to their furthest limits.
32 "Du figuier apprenez cette parabole. Dès que sa ramure devient flexible et que ses feuillespoussent, vous comprenez que l'été est proche.	32 So, from the fig tree learn a parable. When its branch has now become tender and the leaves have sprung forth, you know that summer is near.
33 Ainsi vous, lorsque vous verrez tout cela, comprenez qu'Il est proche, aux portes.	33 So also, when you will have seen all these things, know that it is near, even at the threshold.
34 En vérité je vous le dis, cette génération ne passera pas que tout cela ne soit arrivé.	34 Amen I say to you, that this lineage shall not pass away, until all these things have been done.
35 Le ciel et la terre passeront, mais mes paroles ne passeront point.	35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
36 Quant à la date de ce jour, et à l'heure, personne ne les connaît, ni les anges des cieux, ni le Fils,personne que le Père, seul.	36 But concerning that day and hour, no one knows, not even the Angels of the heavens, but only the Father.
37 "Comme les jours de Noé, ainsi sera l'avènement du Fils de l'homme.	37 And just as in the days of Noah, so also will be the advent of the Son of man.
38 En ces jours qui précédèrent le déluge, on mangeait et on buvait, on prenait femme et mari,jusqu'au jour où Noé entra dans l'arche,	38 For it will be just as it was in the days before the flood: eating and drinking, marrying and being given in marriage, even until that day when Noah entered into the ark.
39 et les gens ne se doutèrent de rien jusqu'à l'arrivée du déluge, qui les emporta tous. Tel sera aussil'avènement du Fils de l'homme.	39 And they did not realize it, until the flood came and took them all away. So also will the advent of the Son of man be.
40 Alors deux hommes seront aux champs: l'un est pris, l'autre laissé;	40 Then two men will be in a field: one will be taken up, and one will be left behind.
41 deux femmes en train de moudre: l'une est prise, l'autre laissée.	41 Two women will be grinding at a millstone: one will be taken up, and one will be left behind.
42 "Veillez donc, parce que vous ne savez pas quel jour va venir votre Maître.	42 Therefore, be vigilant. For you do not know at what hour your Lord will return.
43 Comprenez-le bien: si le maître de maison avait su à quelle heure de la nuit le voleur devaitvenir, il aurait veillé et n'aurait pas permis qu'on perçât le mur de sa demeure.	43 But know this: if only the father of the family knew at what hour the thief would arrive, he would certainly keep vigil and not permit his house to be broken into.
44 Ainsi donc, vous aussi, tenez-vous prêts, car c'est à l'heure que vous ne pensez pas que le Fils del'homme va venir.	44 For this reason, you also must be prepared, for you do not know at what hour the Son of man will return.
45 "Quel est donc le serviteur fidèle et avisé que le maître a établi sur les gens de sa maison pourleur donner la nourriture en temps voulu?	45 Consider this: who is a faithful and prudent servant, who has been appointed by his lord over his family, to give them their portion in due time?
46 Heureux ce serviteur que son maître en arrivant trouvera occupé de la sorte!	46 Blessed is that servant, if, when his lord has arrived, he shall find him doing so.
47 En vérité je vous le dis, il l'établira sur tous ses biens.	47 Amen I say to you, he shall appoint him over all of his goods.
48 Mais si ce mauvais serviteur dit en son coeur: Mon maître tarde.	48 But if that evil servant has said in his heart, ‘My lord has been delayed in returning,’
49 Et qu'il se mette à frapper ses compagnons, à manger et à boire en compagnie des ivrognes,	49 and so, he begins to strike his fellow servants, and he eats and drinks with the inebriated:
50 le maître de ce serviteur arrivera au jour qu'il n'attend pas et à l'heure qu'il ne connaît pas;	50 then the lord of that servant will arrive on a day that he does not expect, and at an hour that he does not know.
51 il le retranchera et lui assignera sa part parmi les hypocrites: là seront les pleurs et lesgrincements de dents.	51 And he shall separate him, and he shall place his portion with the hypocrites, where there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”
