1 Corinthians 11

1 Take me as your pattern, just as I take Christ for mine.	1 לכו בעקבותי כאשר גם אני הלך בעקבות המשיח
2 I congratulate you for remembering me so consistently and for maintaining the traditions exactly as Ipassed them on to you.	2 ועל זאת אני משבח אתכם אחי כי זכרתם אתי בכל לשמר את הקבלות כאשר מסרתי לכם
3 But I should like you to understand that the head of every man is Christ, the head of woman is man,and the head of Christ is God.	3 אך חפץ אנכי שתדעו כי ראש כל איש המשיח וראש האשה האיש וראש המשיח הוא האלהים
4 For any man to pray or to prophesy with his head covered shows disrespect for his head.	4 כל איש אשר יתפלל או יתנבא וראשו מכסה מבזה הוא את ראשו
5 And for a woman to pray or prophesy with her head uncovered shows disrespect for her head; it isexactly the same as if she had her hair shaved off.	5 וכל אשה אשר תתפלל או תתנבא וראשה פרוע מבזה היא את ראשה יען בזה היא כמו מגלחה
6 Indeed, if a woman does go without a veil, she should have her hair cut off too; but if it is a shamefulthing for a woman to have her hair cut off or shaved off, then she should wear a veil.	6 כי האשה אם לא תתכסה גם תתגלח ואם בזיון הוא לאשה להכסם או להתגלח תתכסה
7 But for a man it is not right to have his head covered, since he is the image of God and reflects God'sglory; but woman is the reflection of man's glory.	7 והאיש איננו חיב לכסות את ראשו כי הוא צלם אלהים וכבודו אבל האשה היא כבוד האיש
8 For man did not come from woman; no, woman came from man;	8 כי אין האיש מן האשה כי אם האשה מן האיש
9 nor was man created for the sake of woman, but woman for the sake of man:	9 גם לא נברא האיש בעבור האשה כי אם האשה בעבור האיש
10 and this is why it is right for a woman to wear on her head a sign of the authority over her, becauseof the angels.	10 על כן האשה חיבת להיות לה כפה על ראשה בעבור המלאכים
11 However, in the Lord, though woman is nothing without man, man is nothing without woman;	11 אבל אין האיש בלא אשה ואין האשה בלא איש באדון
12 and though woman came from man, so does every man come from a woman, and everything comesfrom God.	12 כי כאשר האשה מן האיש כן גם האיש על ידי האשה וכל זאת מאלהים
13 Decide for yourselves: does it seem fitting that a woman should pray to God without a veil?	13 שפטו נא בנפשכם הנאוה לאשה להתפלל אל האלהים בגלוי ראש
14 Does not nature itself teach you that if a man has long hair, it is a disgrace to him,	14 או הלא גם הטבע בעצמו ילמד אתכם כי איש אשר יגדל פרע שער ראשו חרפה היא לו
15 but when a woman has long hair, it is her glory? After all, her hair was given to her to be a covering.	15 אבל האשה כי תגדל שערה פאר הוא לה כי נתן לה השער לצניף
16 If anyone wants to be contentious, I say that we have no such custom, nor do any of the churches ofGod.	16 ואם יחשב איש לערער עלינו אין לנו מנהג כזה ולא לקהלות האלהים
17 Now that I am on the subject of instructions, I cannot congratulate you on the meetings you hold;they do more harm than good.	17 והנה בצותי את זאת לא אוכל לשבח אתכם על אשר תקהלו יחד לא להועיל כי אם לרעה
18 In the first place, I hear that when you al come together in your assembly, there are separatefactions among you, and to some extent I believe it.	18 כי בראשונה שמעתי שיש מחלקות ביניכם כאשר תועדו בקהל ומקצתו אני מאמין
19 It is no bad thing, either, that there should be differing groups among you so that those who are to betrusted among you can be clearly recognised.	19 כי אף צריכות כתות להיות ביניכם למען יודעו הנאמנים בכם
20 So, when you meet together, it is not the Lord's Supper that you eat;	20 ועתה כאשר תקהלו יחד אין זה לאכל סעודת האדון
21 for when the eating begins, each one of you has his own supper first, and there is one going hungrywhile another is getting drunk.	21 כי כל אחד מקדים לקחת סעודתו בעת האכילה וזה ירעב וזה ישתכר
22 Surely you have homes for doing your eating and drinking in? Or have you such disregard for God'sassembly that you can put to shame those who have nothing? What am I to say to you? Congratulate you? Onthis I cannot congratulate you.	22 האין לכם בתים לאכל ולשתות בהם או התבוזו את קהל אלהים ותכלימו את אשר אין בידם מאומה מה אמר לכם העל זאת אשבח אתכם אינני משבח
23 For the tradition I received from the Lord and also handed on to you is that on the night he wasbetrayed, the Lord Jesus took some bread,	23 כי כה קבלתי אנכי מן האדון את אשר גם מסרתי לכם כי האדון ישוע בלילה ההוא אשר נמסר בו לקח את הלחם
24 and after he had given thanks, he broke it, and he said, 'This is my body, which is for you; do this inremembrance of me.'	24 ויברך ויבצע ויאמר קחו אכלו זה גופי הנבצע בעדכם עשו זאת לזכרוני
25 And in the same way, with the cup after supper, saying, 'This cup is the new covenant in my blood.Whenever you drink it, do this as a memorial of me.'	25 וכן גם את הכוס אחר הסעודה ויאמר הכוס הזאת היא הברית החדשה בדמי עשו זאת לזכרוני בכל עת שתשתו
26 Whenever you eat this bread, then, and drink this cup, you are proclaiming the Lord's death until hecomes.	26 כי בכל עת שתאכלו את הלחם הזה ותשתו את הכוס הזאת הזכר תזכירו את מות אדנינו עד כי יבוא
27 Therefore anyone who eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord unworthily is answerable for thebody and blood of the Lord.	27 לכן מי שיאכל מן הלחם הזה או ישתה מכוס האדון שלא כראוי יאשם לגוף אדנינו ולדמו
28 Everyone is to examine himself and only then eat of the bread or drink from the cup;	28 יבחן האיש את נפשו ואז יאכל מן הלחם וישתה מן הכוס
29 because a person who eats and drinks without recognising the body is eating and drinking his owncondemnation.	29 כי האכל והשתה שלא כראוי אכל ושתה דין לנפשו יען אשר לא הפלה את גוף האדון
30 That is why many of you are weak and il and a good number have died.	30 בעבור זאת יש בכם חולים וחלשים רבים והרבה ישנו המות
31 If we were critical of ourselves we would not be condemned,	31 כי אם נבחן את נפשנו לא נהיה נדונים
32 but when we are judged by the Lord, we are corrected by the Lord to save us from being condemnedalong with the world.	32 וכאשר נדון נוסר על יד האדון למען לא נחיב עם העולם
33 So then, my brothers, when you meet for the Meal, wait for each other;	33 על כן אחי בהקהלכם יחד לאכל תחכו איש אל רעהו
34 anyone who is hungry should eat at home. Then your meeting wil not bring your condemnation. Theother matters I shal arrange when I come.	34 וכי ירעב איש יאכל בביתו פן תקהלו לאשמה ויתר הדברים אתקן בבאי
