Romans 8

1 Thus, condemnation wil never come to those who are in Christ Jesus,	1 Non v'è dunque or alcuna condanna per quelli che sono in Cristo Gesù che non camminano secondo la carne,
2 because the law of the Spirit which gives life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin anddeath.	2 infatti, la legge dello spirito di vita m'ha per Gesù Cristo liberato dalla legge del peccato e della morte.
3 What the Law could not do because of the weakness of human nature, God did, sending his own Sonin the same human nature as any sinner to be a sacrifice for sin, and condemning sin in that human nature.	3 Perchè ciò che era impossibile alla legge, resa impotente dalla carne, Dio l'ha fatto mandando il Figlio suo in una carne simile a quella del peccato: col peccato abolì il peccato nella carne,
4 This was so that the Law's requirements might be fully satisfied in us as we direct our lives not by ournatural inclinations but by the Spirit.	4 affinchè la giustizia della legge si adempisse in noi che non camminiamo secondo la carne, ma secondo lo spirito.
5 Those who are living by their natural inclinations have their minds on the things human nature desires;those who live in the Spirit have their minds on spiritual things.	5 Quelli infatti che vivono secondo la carne gustano le cose della carne; ma quelli che vivono secondo lo spirito gustano le cose dello spirito.
6 And human nature has nothing to look forward to but death, while the Spirit looks forward to life andpeace,	6 Or la saggezza della carne è morte; la saggezza dello spirito è vita e pace,
7 because the outlook of disordered human nature is opposed to God, since it does not submit to God'sLaw, and indeed it cannot,	7 perché la sapienza della carne è nemica di Dio, non essendo soggetta nè potendosi assoggettare alla legge di Dio:
8 and those who live by their natural inclinations can never be pleasing to God.	8 quindi quelli che vivono secondo la carne non possono piacere a Dio.
9 You, however, live not by your natural inclinations, but by the Spirit, since the Spirit of God has made ahome in you. Indeed, anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him.	9 Ma voi non vivete più secondo la carne, ma secondo lo spirito, se lo spirito di Dio abita in voi. Che se uno non ha lo spirito di Cristo, egli non è dei suoi.
10 But when Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin but the spirit is alive because you havebeen justified;	10 Se poi Cristo è in voi, il corpo certamente è morto a causa del peccato, ma lo spirito vive a cagione della giustizia.
11 and if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead has made his home in you, then he whoraised Christ Jesus from the dead wil give life to your own mortal bodies through his Spirit living in you.	11 Che se lo spirito di Colui che risuscitò Gesù da morte abita in voi, chi risuscitò Gesù Cristo da morte renderà la vita anche ai vostri corpi mortali per mezzo del suo Spirito che abita in voi.
12 So then, my brothers, we have no obligation to human nature to be dominated by it.	12 Così dunque, fratelli, noi non siamo debitori alla carne per vivere secondo la carne.
13 If you do live in that way, you are doomed to die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the habitsoriginating in the body, you will have life.	13 Se quindi vivrete secondo la carne, morrete; se invece collo spirito darete morte alle azioni della carne, vivrete,
14 Al who are guided by the Spirit of God are sons of God;	14 essendo, tutti quelli che son mossi dallo spirito di Dio, figli di Dio.
15 for what you received was not the spirit of slavery to bring you back into fear; you received the Spiritof adoption, enabling us to cry out, 'Abba, Father!'	15 Difatti, voi non avete ricevuto lo spirito di servitù per nuovo timore, ma avete ricevuto lo spirito di adozione in figli, pel quale gridiamo: Abba (Padre).
16 The Spirit himself joins with our spirit to bear witness that we are children of God.	16 Questo stesso Spirito attesta allo spirito nostro che noi siamo figli di Dio.
17 And if we are children, then we are heirs, heirs of God and joint-heirs with Christ, provided that weshare his suffering, so as to share his glory.	17 E se figlioli, siamo anche eredi: eredi di Dio e coeredi di Cristo, se però soffriamo con lui da essere con lui glorificati.
18 In my estimation, al that we suffer in the present time is nothing in comparison with the glory which isdestined to be disclosed for us,	18 Io tengo per certo che i patimenti del tempo presente non sono da paragonarsi alla futura gloria che sarà manifestata in noi.
19 for the whole creation is waiting with eagerness for the children of God to be revealed.	19 Difatti, la creazione sta ansiosamente aspettando la rivelazione dei figli di Dio.
20 It was not for its own purposes that creation had frustration imposed on it, but for the purposes of himwho imposed it-	20 Poichè la creazione è stata assoggettata alla vanità, non per sua volontà, ma di Colui che l'assoggettò colla speranza
21 with the intention that the whole creation itself might be freed from its slavery to corruption andbrought into the same glorious freedom as the children of God.	21 che essa pure sia liberata dalla servitù della corruzione, per aver parte alla libertà gloriosa dei figli di Dio.
22 We are wel aware that the whole creation, until this time, has been groaning in labour pains.	22 E noi sappiamo che fino ad ora tutte insieme le creature sospirano e son nei dolori del parto.
23 And not only that: we too, who have the first-fruits of the Spirit, even we are groaning insideourselves, waiting with eagerness for our bodies to be set free.	23 E non esse soltanto, ma anche noi che abbiamo le primizie dello Spirito, anche noi sospiriamo dentro di noi stessi aspettando l'adozione dei figli di Dio, la redenzione del nostro corpo,
24 In hope, we already have salvation; in hope, not visibly present, or we should not be hoping -- nobodygoes on hoping for something which is already visible.	24 essendo noi salvati in speranza. Ma vedere quel che si spera non è più sperare. E come sperare quel che già si vede?
25 But having this hope for what we cannot yet see, we are able to wait for it with perseveringconfidence.	25 Or se noi speriamo quol che non si vede, aspettiamolo con pazienza.
26 And as wel as this, the Spirit too comes to help us in our weakness, for, when we do not know how topray properly, then the Spirit personal y makes our petitions for us in groans that cannot be put into words;	26 Nello stesso modo anche lo Spirito sostiene la nostra debolezza; perchè noi non sappiamo pregare come si deve; ma lo stesso Spirito chiede per noi con gemiti ineffabili;
27 and he who can see into al hearts knows what the Spirit means because the prayers that the Spiritmakes for God's holy people are always in accordance with the mind of God.	27 e Colui che scruta i cuori conosce quel che brami lo Spirito e come egli interceda secondo Dio per i santi.
28 We are wel aware that God works with those who love him, those who have been cal ed inaccordance with his purpose, and turns everything to their good.	28 Noi sappiamo che tutte le cose tornano a bene di chi ama Dio, di coloro che secondo il disegno son chiamati ad esser santi.
29 He decided beforehand who were the ones destined to be moulded to the pattern of his Son, so thathe should be the eldest of many brothers;	29 Perchè quelli che ha preveduti, li ha pur predestinati ad esser conformi all'imagine del suo Figliolo, affinchè questi sia il primogenito tra molti fratelli.
30 it was those so destined that he cal ed; those that he cal ed, he justified, and those that he hasjustified he has brought into glory.	30 E quelli che ha predestinati li ha anche chiamati; e quelli che ha chiamati li ha anche giustificati; e quelli che ha giustificati li ha anche glorificati.
31 After saying this, what can we add? If God is for us, who can be against us?	31 Che diremo adunque dopo tali cose? Se Dio è con noi, chi sarà contro di noi?
32 Since he did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for the sake of all of us, then can we not expectthat with him he wil freely give us al his gifts?	32 Così che non ha risparmiato nemmeno il proprio Figliolo, ma l'ha dato a morte per noi tutti, come potrà non donarci con lui tutte le cose?
33 Who can bring any accusation against those that God has chosen? When God grants saving justice	33 Chi accuserà gli eletti di Dio? Dio li giustifica.
34 who can condemn? Are we not sure that it is Christ Jesus, who died -- yes and more, who was raised from the dead and is at God's right hand -- and who is adding his plea for us?	34 Chi potrà condannarli? Gesù Cristo, che è morto, anzi risuscitato, e siede alla destra di Dio, egli intercede per noi.
35 Can anything cut us off from the love of Christ -- can hardships or distress, or persecution, or lack offood and clothing, or threats or violence;	35 Chi potrà separarci dall'amore di Cristo? la tribolazione forse, o l'angoscia, la fame, la nudità, il pericolo, la persecuzione, la spada?
36 as scripture says: For your sake we are being massacred al day long, treated as sheep to beslaughtered?	36 (Come sta scritto: Per te noi siamo ogni giorno messi a morte, siamo considerati come pecore da macello).
37 No; we come through al these things triumphantly victorious, by the power of him who loved us.	37 Ma di queste cose noi siamo più che vincitori in virtù di Colui che ci ha amati.
38 For I am certain of this: neither death nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nothing already inexistence and nothing stil to come, nor any power,	38 Io poi sono sicuro che nè la morte, nè la vita, nè gli Angeli, nè i principati, nè le virtù, nè le cose presenti, nè le future, nè la potenza,
39 nor the heights nor the depths, nor any created thing whatever, wil be able to come between us andthe love of God, known to us in Christ Jesus our Lord.	39 nè l'altezza, nè la profondità, nè altra cosa creata potrà separarci dalla carità di Dio, che è in Gesù Cristo Signor nostro.
