Romans 8

NEW JERUSALEM	SAGRADA BIBLIA
1 Thus, condemnation wil never come to those who are in Christ Jesus,	1 De agora em diante, pois, já não há nenhuma condenação para aqueles que estão em Jesus Cristo.
2 because the law of the Spirit which gives life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin anddeath.	2 A lei do Espírito de Vida me libertou, em Jesus Cristo, da lei do pecado e da morte.
3 What the Law could not do because of the weakness of human nature, God did, sending his own Sonin the same human nature as any sinner to be a sacrifice for sin, and condemning sin in that human nature.	3 O que era impossível à lei, visto que a carne a tornava impotente, Deus o fez. Enviando, por causa do pecado, o seu próprio Filho numa carne semelhante à do pecado, condenou o pecado na carne,
4 This was so that the Law's requirements might be fully satisfied in us as we direct our lives not by ournatural inclinations but by the Spirit.	4 a fim de que a justiça, prescrita pela lei, fosse realizada em nós, que vivemos não segundo a carne, mas segundo o espírito.
5 Those who are living by their natural inclinations have their minds on the things human nature desires;those who live in the Spirit have their minds on spiritual things.	5 Os que vivem segundo a carne gostam do que é carnal; os que vivem segundo o espírito apreciam as coisas que são do espírito.
6 And human nature has nothing to look forward to but death, while the Spirit looks forward to life andpeace,	6 Ora, a aspiração da carne é a morte, enquanto a aspiração do espírito é a vida e a paz.
7 because the outlook of disordered human nature is opposed to God, since it does not submit to God'sLaw, and indeed it cannot,	7 Porque o desejo da carne é hostil a Deus, pois a carne não se submete à lei de Deus, e nem o pode.
8 and those who live by their natural inclinations can never be pleasing to God.	8 Os que vivem segundo a carne não podem agradar a Deus.
9 You, however, live not by your natural inclinations, but by the Spirit, since the Spirit of God has made ahome in you. Indeed, anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him.	9 Vós, porém, não viveis segundo a carne, mas segundo o Espírito, se realmente o espírito de Deus habita em vós. Se alguém não possui o Espírito de Cristo, este não é dele.
10 But when Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin but the spirit is alive because you havebeen justified;	10 Ora, se Cristo está em vós, o corpo, em verdade, está morto pelo pecado, mas o Espírito vive pela justificação.
11 and if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead has made his home in you, then he whoraised Christ Jesus from the dead wil give life to your own mortal bodies through his Spirit living in you.	11 Se o Espírito daquele que ressuscitou Jesus dos mortos habita em vós, ele, que ressuscitou Jesus Cristo dos mortos, também dará a vida aos vossos corpos mortais, pelo seu Espírito que habita em vós.
12 So then, my brothers, we have no obligation to human nature to be dominated by it.	12 Portanto, irmãos, não somos devedores da carne, para que vivamos segundo a carne.
13 If you do live in that way, you are doomed to die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the habitsoriginating in the body, you will have life.	13 De fato, se viverdes segundo a carne, haveis de morrer; mas, se pelo Espírito mortificardes as obras da carne, vivereis,
14 Al who are guided by the Spirit of God are sons of God;	14 pois todos os que são conduzidos pelo Espírito de Deus são filhos de Deus.
15 for what you received was not the spirit of slavery to bring you back into fear; you received the Spiritof adoption, enabling us to cry out, 'Abba, Father!'	15 Porquanto não recebestes um espírito de escravidão para viverdes ainda no temor, mas recebestes o espírito de adoção pelo qual clamamos: Aba! Pai!
16 The Spirit himself joins with our spirit to bear witness that we are children of God.	16 O Espírito mesmo dá testemunho ao nosso espírito de que somos filhos de Deus.
17 And if we are children, then we are heirs, heirs of God and joint-heirs with Christ, provided that weshare his suffering, so as to share his glory.	17 E, se filhos, também herdeiros, herdeiros de Deus e co-herdeiros de Cristo, contanto que soframos com ele, para que também com ele sejamos glorificados.
18 In my estimation, al that we suffer in the present time is nothing in comparison with the glory which isdestined to be disclosed for us,	18 Tenho para mim que os sofrimentos da presente vida não têm proporção alguma com a glória futura que nos deve ser manifestada.
19 for the whole creation is waiting with eagerness for the children of God to be revealed.	19 Por isso, a criação aguarda ansiosamente a manifestação dos filhos de Deus.
20 It was not for its own purposes that creation had frustration imposed on it, but for the purposes of himwho imposed it-	20 Pois a criação foi sujeita à vaidade {não voluntariamente, mas por vontade daquele que a sujeitou},
21 with the intention that the whole creation itself might be freed from its slavery to corruption andbrought into the same glorious freedom as the children of God.	21 todavia com a esperança de ser também ela libertada do cativeiro da corrupção, para participar da gloriosa liberdade dos filhos de Deus.
22 We are wel aware that the whole creation, until this time, has been groaning in labour pains.	22 Pois sabemos que toda a criação geme e sofre como que dores de parto até o presente dia.
23 And not only that: we too, who have the first-fruits of the Spirit, even we are groaning insideourselves, waiting with eagerness for our bodies to be set free.	23 Não só ela, mas também nós, que temos as primícias do Espírito, gememos em nós mesmos, aguardando a adoção, a redenção do nosso corpo.
24 In hope, we already have salvation; in hope, not visibly present, or we should not be hoping -- nobodygoes on hoping for something which is already visible.	24 Porque pela esperança é que fomos salvos. Ora, ver o objeto da esperança já não é esperança; porque o que alguém vê, como é que ainda o espera?
25 But having this hope for what we cannot yet see, we are able to wait for it with perseveringconfidence.	25 Nós que esperamos o que não vemos, é em paciência que o aguardamos.
26 And as wel as this, the Spirit too comes to help us in our weakness, for, when we do not know how topray properly, then the Spirit personal y makes our petitions for us in groans that cannot be put into words;	26 Outrossim, o Espírito vem em auxílio à nossa fraqueza; porque não sabemos o que devemos pedir, nem orar como convém, mas o Espírito mesmo intercede por nós com gemidos inefáveis.
27 and he who can see into al hearts knows what the Spirit means because the prayers that the Spiritmakes for God's holy people are always in accordance with the mind of God.	27 E aquele que perscruta os corações sabe o que deseja o Espírito, o qual intercede pelos santos, segundo Deus.
28 We are wel aware that God works with those who love him, those who have been cal ed inaccordance with his purpose, and turns everything to their good.	28 Aliás, sabemos que todas as coisas concorrem para o bem daqueles que amam a Deus, daqueles que são os eleitos, segundo os seus desígnios.
29 He decided beforehand who were the ones destined to be moulded to the pattern of his Son, so thathe should be the eldest of many brothers;	29 Os que ele distinguiu de antemão, também os predestinou para serem conformes à imagem de seu Filho, a fim de que este seja o primogênito entre uma multidão de irmãos.
30 it was those so destined that he cal ed; those that he cal ed, he justified, and those that he hasjustified he has brought into glory.	30 E aos que predestinou, também os chamou; e aos que chamou, também os justificou; e aos que justificou, também os glorificou.
31 After saying this, what can we add? If God is for us, who can be against us?	31 Que diremos depois disso? Se Deus é por nós, quem será contra nós?
32 Since he did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for the sake of all of us, then can we not expectthat with him he wil freely give us al his gifts?	32 Aquele que não poupou seu próprio Filho, mas que por todos nós o entregou, como não nos dará também com ele todas as coisas?
33 Who can bring any accusation against those that God has chosen? When God grants saving justice	33 Quem poderia acusar os escolhidos de Deus? É Deus quem os justifica.
34 who can condemn? Are we not sure that it is Christ Jesus, who died -- yes and more, who was raised from the dead and is at God's right hand -- and who is adding his plea for us?	34 Quem os condenará? Cristo Jesus, que morreu, ou melhor, que ressuscitou, que está à mão direita de Deus, é quem intercede por nós!
35 Can anything cut us off from the love of Christ -- can hardships or distress, or persecution, or lack offood and clothing, or threats or violence;	35 Quem nos separará do amor de Cristo? A tribulação? A angústia? A perseguição? A fome? A nudez? O perigo? A espada?
36 as scripture says: For your sake we are being massacred al day long, treated as sheep to beslaughtered?	36 Realmente, está escrito: Por amor de ti somos entregues à morte o dia inteiro; somos tratados como gado destinado ao matadouro {Sl 43,23}.
37 No; we come through al these things triumphantly victorious, by the power of him who loved us.	37 Mas, em todas essas coisas, somos mais que vencedores pela virtude daquele que nos amou.
38 For I am certain of this: neither death nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nothing already inexistence and nothing stil to come, nor any power,	38 Pois estou persuadido de que nem a morte, nem a vida, nem os anjos, nem os principados, nem o presente, nem o futuro, nem as potestades,
39 nor the heights nor the depths, nor any created thing whatever, wil be able to come between us andthe love of God, known to us in Christ Jesus our Lord.	39 nem as alturas, nem os abismos, nem outra qualquer criatura nos poderá apartar do amor que Deus nos testemunha em Cristo Jesus, nosso Senhor.
