Romans 8

NEW JERUSALEM	DIODATI
1 Thus, condemnation wil never come to those who are in Christ Jesus,	1 ORA dunque non vi è alcuna condannazione per coloro che sono in Cristo Gesù, i quali non camminano secondo la carne, ma secondo lo Spirito.
2 because the law of the Spirit which gives life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin anddeath.	2 Perciocchè la legge dello Spirito della vita in Cristo Gesù, mi ha francato dalla legge del peccato, e della morte.
3 What the Law could not do because of the weakness of human nature, God did, sending his own Sonin the same human nature as any sinner to be a sacrifice for sin, and condemning sin in that human nature.	3 Imperocchè ciò che era impossibile alla legge in quanto che per la carne era senza forza, Iddio, avendo mandato il suo proprio Figliuolo, in forma simigliante alla carne del peccato, ed a motivo del peccato, ha condannato il peccato nella carne.
4 This was so that the Law's requirements might be fully satisfied in us as we direct our lives not by ournatural inclinations but by the Spirit.	4 Acciocchè la giustizia della legge si adempia in noi, i quali non camminiamo secondo la carne, ma secondo lo Spirito.
5 Those who are living by their natural inclinations have their minds on the things human nature desires;those who live in the Spirit have their minds on spiritual things.	5 Perciocchè coloro che son secondo la carne, pensano, ed hanno l’animo alle cose della carne; ma coloro che son secondo lo Spirito, alle cose dello Spirito.
6 And human nature has nothing to look forward to but death, while the Spirit looks forward to life andpeace,	6 Imperocchè ciò a che la carne pensa, ed ha l’animo, è morte; ma ciò a che lo Spirito pensa, ed ha l’animo, è vita e pace.
7 because the outlook of disordered human nature is opposed to God, since it does not submit to God'sLaw, and indeed it cannot,	7 Poichè il pensiero, e l’affezion della carne è inimicizia contro a Dio; perciocchè ella non si sottomette alla legge di Dio; imperocchè non pure anche può.
8 and those who live by their natural inclinations can never be pleasing to God.	8 E coloro che son nella carne non possono piacere a Dio.
9 You, however, live not by your natural inclinations, but by the Spirit, since the Spirit of God has made ahome in you. Indeed, anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him.	9 Or voi non siete nella carne, anzi nello Spirito, se pur lo Spirito di Dio abita in voi; ma, se alcuno non ha lo Spirito di Cristo, egli non è di lui
10 But when Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin but the spirit is alive because you havebeen justified;	10 E se Cristo è in voi, ben è il corpo morto per lo peccato; ma lo Spirito è vita per la giustizia.
11 and if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead has made his home in you, then he whoraised Christ Jesus from the dead wil give life to your own mortal bodies through his Spirit living in you.	11 E, se lo Spirito di colui che ha risuscitato Gesù da’ morti abita in voi, colui che risuscitò Cristo da’ morti vivificherà ancora i vostri corpi mortali, per lo suo Spirito, che abita in voi.
12 So then, my brothers, we have no obligation to human nature to be dominated by it.	12 Perciò, fratelli, noi siamo debitori, non alla carne, per viver secondo la carne.
13 If you do live in that way, you are doomed to die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the habitsoriginating in the body, you will have life.	13 Perciocchè, se voi vivete secondo la carne, voi morrete; ma, se per lo Spirito mortificate gli atti del corpo, voi viverete.
14 Al who are guided by the Spirit of God are sons of God;	14 Poichè, tutti coloro che son condotti per lo Spirito di Dio, sono figliuoli di Dio.
15 for what you received was not the spirit of slavery to bring you back into fear; you received the Spiritof adoption, enabling us to cry out, 'Abba, Father!'	15 Perciocchè voi non avete di nuovo ricevuto lo spirito di servitù, a timore; anzi avete ricevuto lo Spirito d’adottazione, per lo quale gridiamo: Abba, Padre.
16 The Spirit himself joins with our spirit to bear witness that we are children of God.	16 Quel medesimo Spirito rende testimonianza allo spirito nostro, che noi siam figliuoli di Dio
17 And if we are children, then we are heirs, heirs of God and joint-heirs with Christ, provided that weshare his suffering, so as to share his glory.	17 E se siam figliuoli, siamo ancora eredi, eredi di Dio, e coeredi di Cristo; se pur sofferiamo con lui, acciocchè ancora con lui siamo glorificati.
18 In my estimation, al that we suffer in the present time is nothing in comparison with the glory which isdestined to be disclosed for us,	18 PERCIOCCHÈ io fo ragione che le sofferenze del tempo presente non son punto da agguagliare alla gloria che sarà manifestata inverso noi.
19 for the whole creation is waiting with eagerness for the children of God to be revealed.	19 Poichè l’intento, e il desiderio del mondo creato aspetta la manifestazione dei figliuoli di Dio.
20 It was not for its own purposes that creation had frustration imposed on it, but for the purposes of himwho imposed it-	20 Perciocchè il mondo creato è stato sottoposto alla vanità non di sua propria inclinazione, ma per colui che l’ha sottoposto ad essa,
21 with the intention that the whole creation itself might be freed from its slavery to corruption andbrought into the same glorious freedom as the children of God.	21 con la speranza che il mondo creato ancora sarà liberato dalla servitù della corruzione, e messo nella libertà della gloria de’ figliuoli di Dio.
22 We are wel aware that the whole creation, until this time, has been groaning in labour pains.	22 Perciocchè noi sappiamo che fino ad ora tutto il mondo creato geme insieme, e travaglia.
23 And not only that: we too, who have the first-fruits of the Spirit, even we are groaning insideourselves, waiting with eagerness for our bodies to be set free.	23 E non solo esso, ma ancora noi stessi, che abbiamo le primizie dello Spirito; noi stessi, dico, gemiamo, in noi medesimi, aspettando l’adottazione, la redenzion del nostro corpo.
24 In hope, we already have salvation; in hope, not visibly present, or we should not be hoping -- nobodygoes on hoping for something which is already visible.	24 Perciocchè noi siamo salvati per isperanza; or la speranza la qual si vede non è speranza; perciocchè, perchè spererebbe altri ancora ciò ch’egli vede?
25 But having this hope for what we cannot yet see, we are able to wait for it with perseveringconfidence.	25 E se speriamo quello che non veggiamo, noi l’aspettiamo con pazienza
26 And as wel as this, the Spirit too comes to help us in our weakness, for, when we do not know how topray properly, then the Spirit personal y makes our petitions for us in groans that cannot be put into words;	26 Parimente ancora lo Spirito solleva le nostre debolezze; perciocchè noi non sappiamo ciò che dobbiam pregare, come si conviene; ma lo Spirito interviene egli stesso per noi con sospiri ineffabili.
27 and he who can see into al hearts knows what the Spirit means because the prayers that the Spiritmakes for God's holy people are always in accordance with the mind of God.	27 E colui che investiga i cuori conosce qual sia il sentimento, e l’affetto dello Spirito; poichè esso interviene per li santi, secondo Iddio.
28 We are wel aware that God works with those who love him, those who have been cal ed inaccordance with his purpose, and turns everything to their good.	28 Or noi sappiamo che tutte le cose cooperano al bene, a coloro che amano Iddio; i quali son chiamati secondo il suo proponimento
29 He decided beforehand who were the ones destined to be moulded to the pattern of his Son, so thathe should be the eldest of many brothers;	29 Perciocchè coloro che egli ha innanzi conosciuti, li ha eziandio predestinati ad esser conformi all’immagine del suo Figliuolo; acciocchè egli sia il primogenito fra molti fratelli.
30 it was those so destined that he cal ed; those that he cal ed, he justified, and those that he hasjustified he has brought into glory.	30 E coloro ch’egli ha predestinati, essi ha eziandio chiamati; e coloro ch’egli ha chiamati, essi ha eziandio giustificati; e coloro ch’egli ha giustificati, essi ha eziandio glorificati
31 After saying this, what can we add? If God is for us, who can be against us?	31 CHE diremo noi adunque a queste cose? Se Iddio è per noi, chi sarà contro a noi?
32 Since he did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for the sake of all of us, then can we not expectthat with him he wil freely give us al his gifts?	32 Colui certo, che non ha risparmiato il suo proprio Figliuolo, anzi l’ha dato per tutti noi, come non ci donerebbe egli ancora tutte le cose con lui?
33 Who can bring any accusation against those that God has chosen? When God grants saving justice	33 Chi farà accusa contro agli eletti di Dio? Iddio è quel che giustifica.
34 who can condemn? Are we not sure that it is Christ Jesus, who died -- yes and more, who was raised from the dead and is at God's right hand -- and who is adding his plea for us?	34 Chi sarà quel che li condanni? Cristo è quel che è morto, ed oltre a ciò ancora è risuscitato; il quale eziandio è alla destra di Dio, il quale eziandio intercede per noi.
35 Can anything cut us off from the love of Christ -- can hardships or distress, or persecution, or lack offood and clothing, or threats or violence;	35 Chi ci separerà dall’amor di Cristo? sarà egli afflizione, o distretta, o persecuzione, o fame, o nudità, o pericolo, o spada?
36 as scripture says: For your sake we are being massacred al day long, treated as sheep to beslaughtered?	36 Siccome è scritto: Per amor di te tuttodì siamo fatti morire; noi siamo stati reputati come pecore del macello.
37 No; we come through al these things triumphantly victorious, by the power of him who loved us.	37 Anzi, in tutte queste cose noi siam di gran lunga vincitori per colui che ci ha amati.
38 For I am certain of this: neither death nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nothing already inexistence and nothing stil to come, nor any power,	38 Perciocchè io son persuaso, che nè morte, nè vita, nè angeli, nè principati, nè podestà, nè cose presenti, nè cose future;
39 nor the heights nor the depths, nor any created thing whatever, wil be able to come between us andthe love of God, known to us in Christ Jesus our Lord.	39 nè altezza, nè profondità, nè alcuna altra creatura, non potrà separarci dall’amor di Dio, ch’è in Cristo Gesù, nostro Signore
