Romans 8

NEW JERUSALEM	EINHEITSUBERSETZUNG BIBEL
1 Thus, condemnation wil never come to those who are in Christ Jesus,	1 Jetzt gibt es keine Verurteilung mehr für die, welche in Christus Jesus sind.
2 because the law of the Spirit which gives life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin anddeath.	2 Denn das Gesetz des Geistes und des Lebens in Christus Jesus hat dich frei gemacht vom Gesetz der Sünde und des Todes.
3 What the Law could not do because of the weakness of human nature, God did, sending his own Sonin the same human nature as any sinner to be a sacrifice for sin, and condemning sin in that human nature.	3 Weil das Gesetz, ohnmächtig durch das Fleisch, nichts vermochte, sandte Gott seinen Sohn in der Gestalt des Fleisches, das unter der Macht der Sünde steht, zur Sühne für die Sünde, um an seinem Fleisch die Sünde zu verurteilen;
4 This was so that the Law's requirements might be fully satisfied in us as we direct our lives not by ournatural inclinations but by the Spirit.	4 dies tat er, damit die Forderung des Gesetzes durch uns erfüllt werde, die wir nicht nach dem Fleisch, sondern nach dem Geist leben.
5 Those who are living by their natural inclinations have their minds on the things human nature desires;those who live in the Spirit have their minds on spiritual things.	5 Denn alle, die vom Fleisch bestimmt sind, trachten nach dem, was dem Fleisch entspricht, alle, die vom Geist bestimmt sind, nach dem, was dem Geist entspricht.
6 And human nature has nothing to look forward to but death, while the Spirit looks forward to life andpeace,	6 Das Trachten des Fleisches führt zum Tod, das Trachten des Geistes aber zu Leben und Frieden.
7 because the outlook of disordered human nature is opposed to God, since it does not submit to God'sLaw, and indeed it cannot,	7 Denn das Trachten des Fleisches ist Feindschaft gegen Gott; es unterwirft sich nicht dem Gesetz Gottes und kann es auch nicht.
8 and those who live by their natural inclinations can never be pleasing to God.	8 Wer vom Fleisch bestimmt ist, kann Gott nicht gefallen.
9 You, however, live not by your natural inclinations, but by the Spirit, since the Spirit of God has made ahome in you. Indeed, anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him.	9 Ihr aber seid nicht vom Fleisch, sondern vom Geist bestimmt, da ja der Geist Gottes in euch wohnt. Wer den Geist Christi nicht hat, der gehört nicht zu ihm.
10 But when Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin but the spirit is alive because you havebeen justified;	10 Wenn Christus in euch ist, dann ist zwar der Leib tot aufgrund der Sünde, der Geist aber ist Leben aufgrund der Gerechtigkeit.
11 and if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead has made his home in you, then he whoraised Christ Jesus from the dead wil give life to your own mortal bodies through his Spirit living in you.	11 Wenn der Geist dessen in euch wohnt, der Jesus von den Toten auferweckt hat, dann wird er, der Christus Jesus von den Toten auferweckt hat, auch euren sterblichen Leib lebendig machen durch seinen Geist, der in euch wohnt.
12 So then, my brothers, we have no obligation to human nature to be dominated by it.	12 Wir sind also nicht dem Fleisch verpflichtet, Brüder, so dass wir nach dem Fleisch leben müssten.
13 If you do live in that way, you are doomed to die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the habitsoriginating in the body, you will have life.	13 Wenn ihr nach dem Fleisch lebt, müsst ihr sterben; wenn ihr aber durch den Geist die (sündigen) Taten des Leibes tötet, werdet ihr leben.
14 Al who are guided by the Spirit of God are sons of God;	14 Denn alle, die sich vom Geist Gottes leiten lassen, sind Söhne Gottes.
15 for what you received was not the spirit of slavery to bring you back into fear; you received the Spiritof adoption, enabling us to cry out, 'Abba, Father!'	15 Denn ihr habt nicht einen Geist empfangen, der euch zu Sklaven macht, so dass ihr euch immer noch fürchten müsstet, sondern ihr habt den Geist empfangen, der euch zu Söhnen macht, den Geist, in dem wir rufen: Abba, Vater!
16 The Spirit himself joins with our spirit to bear witness that we are children of God.	16 So bezeugt der Geist selber unserem Geist, dass wir Kinder Gottes sind.
17 And if we are children, then we are heirs, heirs of God and joint-heirs with Christ, provided that weshare his suffering, so as to share his glory.	17 Sind wir aber Kinder, dann auch Erben; wir sind Erben Gottes und sind Miterben Christi, wenn wir mit ihm leiden, um mit ihm auch verherrlicht zu werden.
18 In my estimation, al that we suffer in the present time is nothing in comparison with the glory which isdestined to be disclosed for us,	18 Ich bin überzeugt, dass die Leiden der gegenwärtigen Zeit nichts bedeuten im Vergleich zu der Herrlichkeit, die an uns offenbar werden soll.
19 for the whole creation is waiting with eagerness for the children of God to be revealed.	19 Denn die ganze Schöpfung wartet sehnsüchtig auf das Offenbarwerden der Söhne Gottes.
20 It was not for its own purposes that creation had frustration imposed on it, but for the purposes of himwho imposed it-	20 Die Schöpfung ist der Vergänglichkeit unterworfen, nicht aus eigenem Willen, sondern durch den, der sie unterworfen hat; aber zugleich gab er ihr Hoffnung:
21 with the intention that the whole creation itself might be freed from its slavery to corruption andbrought into the same glorious freedom as the children of God.	21 Auch die Schöpfung soll von der Sklaverei und Verlorenheit befreit werden zur Freiheit und Herrlichkeit der Kinder Gottes.
22 We are wel aware that the whole creation, until this time, has been groaning in labour pains.	22 Denn wir wissen, dass die gesamte Schöpfung bis zum heutigen Tag seufzt und in Geburtswehen liegt.
23 And not only that: we too, who have the first-fruits of the Spirit, even we are groaning insideourselves, waiting with eagerness for our bodies to be set free.	23 Aber auch wir, obwohl wir als Erstlingsgabe den Geist haben, seufzen in unserem Herzen und warten darauf, dass wir mit der Erlösung unseres Leibes als Söhne offenbar werden.
24 In hope, we already have salvation; in hope, not visibly present, or we should not be hoping -- nobodygoes on hoping for something which is already visible.	24 Denn wir sind gerettet, doch in der Hoffnung. Hoffnung aber, die man schon erfüllt sieht, ist keine Hoffnung. Wie kann man auf etwas hoffen, das man sieht?
25 But having this hope for what we cannot yet see, we are able to wait for it with perseveringconfidence.	25 Hoffen wir aber auf das, was wir nicht sehen, dann harren wir aus in Geduld.
26 And as wel as this, the Spirit too comes to help us in our weakness, for, when we do not know how topray properly, then the Spirit personal y makes our petitions for us in groans that cannot be put into words;	26 So nimmt sich auch der Geist unserer Schwachheit an. Denn wir wissen nicht, worum wir in rechter Weise beten sollen; der Geist selber tritt jedoch für uns ein mit Seufzen, das wir nicht in Worte fassen können.
27 and he who can see into al hearts knows what the Spirit means because the prayers that the Spiritmakes for God's holy people are always in accordance with the mind of God.	27 Und Gott, der die Herzen erforscht, weiß, was die Absicht des Geistes ist: Er tritt so, wie Gott es will, für die Heiligen ein.
28 We are wel aware that God works with those who love him, those who have been cal ed inaccordance with his purpose, and turns everything to their good.	28 Wir wissen, dass Gott bei denen, die ihn lieben, alles zum Guten führt, bei denen, die nach seinem ewigen Plan berufen sind;
29 He decided beforehand who were the ones destined to be moulded to the pattern of his Son, so thathe should be the eldest of many brothers;	29 denn alle, die er im voraus erkannt hat, hat er auch im voraus dazu bestimmt, an Wesen und Gestalt seines Sohnes teilzuhaben, damit dieser der Erstgeborene von vielen Brüdern sei.
30 it was those so destined that he cal ed; those that he cal ed, he justified, and those that he hasjustified he has brought into glory.	30 Die aber, die er vorausbestimmt hat, hat er auch berufen, und die er berufen hat, hat er auch gerecht gemacht; die er aber gerecht gemacht hat, die hat er auch verherrlicht.
31 After saying this, what can we add? If God is for us, who can be against us?	31 Was ergibt sich nun, wenn wir das alles bedenken? Ist Gott für uns, wer ist dann gegen uns?
32 Since he did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for the sake of all of us, then can we not expectthat with him he wil freely give us al his gifts?	32 Er hat seinen eigenen Sohn nicht verschont, sondern ihn für uns alle hingegeben - wie sollte er uns mit ihm nicht alles schenken?
33 Who can bring any accusation against those that God has chosen? When God grants saving justice	33 Wer kann die Auserwählten Gottes anklagen? Gott ist es, der gerecht macht.
34 who can condemn? Are we not sure that it is Christ Jesus, who died -- yes and more, who was raised from the dead and is at God's right hand -- and who is adding his plea for us?	34 Wer kann sie verurteilen? Christus Jesus, der gestorben ist, mehr noch: der auferweckt worden ist, sitzt zur Rechten Gottes und tritt für uns ein.
35 Can anything cut us off from the love of Christ -- can hardships or distress, or persecution, or lack offood and clothing, or threats or violence;	35 Was kann uns scheiden von der Liebe Christi? Bedrängnis oder Not oder Verfolgung, Hunger oder Kälte, Gefahr oder Schwert?
36 as scripture says: For your sake we are being massacred al day long, treated as sheep to beslaughtered?	36 In der Schrift steht: Um deinetwillen sind wir den ganzen Tag dem Tod ausgesetzt; wir werden behandelt wie Schafe, die man zum Schlachten bestimmt hat.
37 No; we come through al these things triumphantly victorious, by the power of him who loved us.	37 Doch all das überwinden wir durch den, der uns geliebt hat.
38 For I am certain of this: neither death nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nothing already inexistence and nothing stil to come, nor any power,	38 Denn ich bin gewiss: Weder Tod noch Leben, weder Engel noch Mächte, weder Gegenwärtiges noch Zukünftiges, weder Gewalten
39 nor the heights nor the depths, nor any created thing whatever, wil be able to come between us andthe love of God, known to us in Christ Jesus our Lord.	39 der Höhe oder Tiefe noch irgendeine andere Kreatur können uns scheiden von der Liebe Gottes, die in Christus Jesus ist, unserem Herrn.
