Romans 8

NEW JERUSALEM	LA SACRA BIBBIA
1 Thus, condemnation wil never come to those who are in Christ Jesus,	1 Ma ora non c'è nessun elemento di condanna per coloro che sono in Cristo Gesù.
2 because the law of the Spirit which gives life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin anddeath.	2 Infatti la legge dello Spirito della vita in Cristo Gesù ti liberò dalla legge del peccato e della morte.
3 What the Law could not do because of the weakness of human nature, God did, sending his own Sonin the same human nature as any sinner to be a sacrifice for sin, and condemning sin in that human nature.	3 Ciò che infatti era impossibile per la legge, ciò in cui essa era debole a causa della carne, è stato reso possibile: Dio, avendo inviato il proprio Figlio in uno stato di affinità con la carne del peccato e per il peccato, condannò il peccato nella carne,
4 This was so that the Law's requirements might be fully satisfied in us as we direct our lives not by ournatural inclinations but by the Spirit.	4 affinché ciò che è giusto nella legge trovasse il suo compimento in noi, che non ci regoliamo secondo la carne ma secondo lo Spirito.
5 Those who are living by their natural inclinations have their minds on the things human nature desires;those who live in the Spirit have their minds on spiritual things.	5 Coloro infatti che sono secondo la carne, pensano e aspirano alle cose della carne, quelli invece che sono secondo lo Spirito, pensano e aspirano alle cose dello Spirito.
6 And human nature has nothing to look forward to but death, while the Spirit looks forward to life andpeace,	6 Le aspirazioni della carne conducono alla morte, mentre le aspirazioni dello Spirito sono vita e pace.
7 because the outlook of disordered human nature is opposed to God, since it does not submit to God'sLaw, and indeed it cannot,	7 Poiché i desideri della carne sono in ostilità verso Dio: non si sottomettono alla legge di Dio, né lo possono fare.
8 and those who live by their natural inclinations can never be pleasing to God.	8 Pertanto coloro che sono nella carne non possono piacere a Dio.
9 You, however, live not by your natural inclinations, but by the Spirit, since the Spirit of God has made ahome in you. Indeed, anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him.	9 Ma voi non siete in relazione con la carne ma con lo Spirito, dal momento che lo Spirito di Dio abita in voi. Se qualcuno non ha lo Spirito di Cristo, non gli appartiene.
10 But when Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin but the spirit is alive because you havebeen justified;	10 Se poi Cristo è in voi, il corpo è morto a causa del peccato, ma lo Spirito è vita in vista della giustificazione.
11 and if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead has made his home in you, then he whoraised Christ Jesus from the dead wil give life to your own mortal bodies through his Spirit living in you.	11 Or se lo Spirito di Colui che risuscitò Gesù da morte abita in voi, Colui che risuscitò da morte Cristo Gesù darà la vita anche ai vostri corpi mortali, in forza dello Spirito che abita in voi.
12 So then, my brothers, we have no obligation to human nature to be dominated by it.	12 Perciò, fratelli, non siamo debitori verso la carne, così da vivere secondo la carne:
13 If you do live in that way, you are doomed to die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the habitsoriginating in the body, you will have life.	13 poiché se vivrete secondo la carne, morrete; se invece con lo Spirito ucciderete le azioni del corpo, vivrete.
14 Al who are guided by the Spirit of God are sons of God;	14 Infatti tutti coloro che si lasciano guidare dallo Spirito di Dio sono figli di Dio.
15 for what you received was not the spirit of slavery to bring you back into fear; you received the Spiritof adoption, enabling us to cry out, 'Abba, Father!'	15 Non riceveste infatti uno spirito di schiavitù così da essere di nuovo in stato di timore, ma riceveste lo Spirito di adozione a figli, in unione con il quale gridiamo: Abbà, Padre!
16 The Spirit himself joins with our spirit to bear witness that we are children of God.	16 Lo Spirito stesso attesta al nostro spirito che siamo figli di Dio.
17 And if we are children, then we are heirs, heirs of God and joint-heirs with Christ, provided that weshare his suffering, so as to share his glory.	17 Se figli, anche eredi, eredi di Dio, coeredi di Cristo, purché soffriamo insieme a lui, per poter essere con lui glorificati.
18 In my estimation, al that we suffer in the present time is nothing in comparison with the glory which isdestined to be disclosed for us,	18 Penso infatti che le sofferenze del tempo presente non hanno un valore proporzionato alla gloria che si manifesterà in noi.
19 for the whole creation is waiting with eagerness for the children of God to be revealed.	19 L'attesa spasmodica delle cose create sta infatti in aspettativa della manifestazione dei figli di Dio.
20 It was not for its own purposes that creation had frustration imposed on it, but for the purposes of himwho imposed it-	20 Le cose create infatti furono sottoposte alla caducità non di loro volontà, ma a causa di colui che ve le sottopose, nella speranza
21 with the intention that the whole creation itself might be freed from its slavery to corruption andbrought into the same glorious freedom as the children of God.	21 che la stessa creazione sarà liberata dalla schiavitù della corruzione per ottenere la libertà della gloria dei figli di Dio.
22 We are wel aware that the whole creation, until this time, has been groaning in labour pains.	22 Sappiamo infatti che tutta la creazione geme e soffre unitamente le doglie del parto fino al momento presente.
23 And not only that: we too, who have the first-fruits of the Spirit, even we are groaning insideourselves, waiting with eagerness for our bodies to be set free.	23 Non solo essa, ma anche noi, che abbiamo il primo dono dello Spirito, a nostra volta gemiamo in noi stessi, in attesa dell'adozione a figli, del riscatto del nostro corpo.
24 In hope, we already have salvation; in hope, not visibly present, or we should not be hoping -- nobodygoes on hoping for something which is already visible.	24 Fummo infatti salvati nella speranza; ma una speranza che si vede non è più speranza: chi infatti spera ciò che vede?
25 But having this hope for what we cannot yet see, we are able to wait for it with perseveringconfidence.	25 Ma se noi speriamo ciò che non vediamo, stiamo in attesa mediante la costanza.
26 And as wel as this, the Spirit too comes to help us in our weakness, for, when we do not know how topray properly, then the Spirit personal y makes our petitions for us in groans that cannot be put into words;	26 Nello stesso modo anche lo Spirito, coadiuvandoci, viene in aiuto alla nostra debolezza; infatti noi non sappiamo che cosa dobbiamo chiedere convenientemente, ma è lo Spirito stesso che prega per noi con gemiti inespressi.
27 and he who can see into al hearts knows what the Spirit means because the prayers that the Spiritmakes for God's holy people are always in accordance with the mind of God.	27 Ma Colui che scruta i cuori, sa quali sono i pensieri e le aspirazioni dello Spirito, poiché intercede per i santi secondo Dio.
28 We are wel aware that God works with those who love him, those who have been cal ed inaccordance with his purpose, and turns everything to their good.	28 Sappiamo poi che per coloro che amano Dio tutto confluisce in bene, per coloro che secondo il piano di Dio si trovano ad essere chiamati.
29 He decided beforehand who were the ones destined to be moulded to the pattern of his Son, so thathe should be the eldest of many brothers;	29 Poiché coloro che da sempre egli ha fatto oggetto delle sue premure, li ha anche predeterminati ad essere conformi all'immagine del Figlio suo, affinché egli sia il primogenito tra molti fratelli.
30 it was those so destined that he cal ed; those that he cal ed, he justified, and those that he hasjustified he has brought into glory.	30 Coloro che predeterminò, anche chiamò; quelli che chiamò, questi anche giustificò; quelli poi che giustificò, anche glorificò.
31 After saying this, what can we add? If God is for us, who can be against us?	31 Che diremo riguardo a queste cose? Se Dio è per noi, chi potrebbe essere contro di noi?
32 Since he did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for the sake of all of us, then can we not expectthat with him he wil freely give us al his gifts?	32 Lui, che non ha risparmiato il proprio Figlio, ma lo ha dato in sacrificio per noi tutti, come non ci darà in dono insieme a lui tutte le cose?
33 Who can bring any accusation against those that God has chosen? When God grants saving justice	33 Chi si farà accusatore contro gli eletti di Dio? Dio che li dichiara giusti?
34 who can condemn? Are we not sure that it is Christ Jesus, who died -- yes and more, who was raised from the dead and is at God's right hand -- and who is adding his plea for us?	34 Chi li condannerà? Gesù Cristo che è morto, anzi che è risuscitato, lui che siede alla destra di Dio, lui che intercede in nostro favore?
35 Can anything cut us off from the love of Christ -- can hardships or distress, or persecution, or lack offood and clothing, or threats or violence;	35 Chi ci separerà dall'amore di Cristo? La tribolazione, l'angoscia, la persecuzione, la fame, la nudità, i pericoli, la spada?
36 as scripture says: For your sake we are being massacred al day long, treated as sheep to beslaughtered?	36 Secondo quanto sta scritto: per causa tua siamo messi a morte tutto il giorno, fummo reputati come pecore da macello.
37 No; we come through al these things triumphantly victorious, by the power of him who loved us.	37 Ma in tutte queste cose noi stravinciamo in grazia di colui che ci amò.
38 For I am certain of this: neither death nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nothing already inexistence and nothing stil to come, nor any power,	38 Sono infatti persuaso che né morte né vita, né angeli né potestà, né presente né futuro,
39 nor the heights nor the depths, nor any created thing whatever, wil be able to come between us andthe love of God, known to us in Christ Jesus our Lord.	39 né altezze né profondità, né qualunque altra cosa creata potrà separarci dall'amore che Dio ha per noi in Cristo Gesù nostro Signore.
