Romans 8

NEW JERUSALEM	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS
1 Thus, condemnation wil never come to those who are in Christ Jesus,	1 Por lo tanto, ya no hay condenación para aquellos que viven unidos a Cristo Jesús.
2 because the law of the Spirit which gives life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin anddeath.	2 Porque la ley del Espíritu, que da la Vida, me libró, me libró, en Cristo Jesús, de la ley del pecado y de la muerte.
3 What the Law could not do because of the weakness of human nature, God did, sending his own Sonin the same human nature as any sinner to be a sacrifice for sin, and condemning sin in that human nature.	3 Lo que no podía hacer la Ley, reducida a la impotencia por la carne, Dios lo hizo, enviando a su propio Hijo, en una carne semejante a la del pecado, y como víctima por el pecado. Así él condenó el pecado en la carne,
4 This was so that the Law's requirements might be fully satisfied in us as we direct our lives not by ournatural inclinations but by the Spirit.	4 para que la justicia de la Ley se cumpliera en nosotros, que ya no vivimos conforme a la carne sino al espíritu.
5 Those who are living by their natural inclinations have their minds on the things human nature desires;those who live in the Spirit have their minds on spiritual things.	5 En efecto, los que viven según la carne desean lo que es carnal; en cambio, los que viven según el espíritu, desean lo que es espiritual.
6 And human nature has nothing to look forward to but death, while the Spirit looks forward to life andpeace,	6 Ahora bien, los deseos de la carne conducen a la muerte, pero los deseos del espíritu conducen a la vida y a la paz,
7 because the outlook of disordered human nature is opposed to God, since it does not submit to God'sLaw, and indeed it cannot,	7 porque los deseos de la carne se oponen a Dios, ya que no se someten a su Ley, ni pueden hacerlo.
8 and those who live by their natural inclinations can never be pleasing to God.	8 Por eso, los que viven de acuerdo con la carne no pueden agradar a Dios.
9 You, however, live not by your natural inclinations, but by the Spirit, since the Spirit of God has made ahome in you. Indeed, anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him.	9 Pero ustedes no están animados por la carne sino por el espíritu, dado que el Espíritu de Dios habita en ustedes. El que no tiene el Espíritu de Cristo no puede ser de Cristo.
10 But when Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin but the spirit is alive because you havebeen justified;	10 Pero si Cristo vive en ustedes, aunque el cuerpo esté sometido a la muerte a causa del pecado, el espíritu vive a causa de la justicia.
11 and if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead has made his home in you, then he whoraised Christ Jesus from the dead wil give life to your own mortal bodies through his Spirit living in you.	11 Y si el Espíritu de aquel que resucitó a Jesús habita en ustedes, el que resucitó a Cristo Jesús también dará vida a sus cuerpos mortales, por medio del mismo Espíritu que habita en ustedes.
12 So then, my brothers, we have no obligation to human nature to be dominated by it.	12 Hermanos, nosotros no somos deudores de la carne, para vivir de una manera carnal.
13 If you do live in that way, you are doomed to die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the habitsoriginating in the body, you will have life.	13 Si ustedes viven según la carne, morirán. Al contrario, si hacen morir las obras de la carne por medio del Espíritu, entonces vivirán.
14 Al who are guided by the Spirit of God are sons of God;	14 Todos los que son conducidos por el Espíritu de Dios son hijos de Dios.
15 for what you received was not the spirit of slavery to bring you back into fear; you received the Spiritof adoption, enabling us to cry out, 'Abba, Father!'	15 Y ustedes no han recibido un espíritu de esclavos para volver a caer en el temor, sino el espíritu de hijos adoptivos, que nos hace llamar a Dios
16 The Spirit himself joins with our spirit to bear witness that we are children of God.	16 El mismo espíritu se une a nuestro espíritu para dar testimonio de que somos hijos de Dios.
17 And if we are children, then we are heirs, heirs of God and joint-heirs with Christ, provided that weshare his suffering, so as to share his glory.	17 Si somos hijos, también somos herederos, herederos de Dios y coherederos de Cristo, porque sufrimos con él para ser glorificados con el.
18 In my estimation, al that we suffer in the present time is nothing in comparison with the glory which isdestined to be disclosed for us,	18 Yo considero que los sufrimientos del tiempo presente no pueden compararse con la gloria futura que se revelará en nosotros.
19 for the whole creation is waiting with eagerness for the children of God to be revealed.	19 En efecto, toda la creación espera ansiosamente esta revelación de los hijos de Dios.
20 It was not for its own purposes that creation had frustration imposed on it, but for the purposes of himwho imposed it-	20 Ella quedó sujeta a la vanidad, no voluntariamente, sino por causa de quien la sometió, pero conservando una esperanza.
21 with the intention that the whole creation itself might be freed from its slavery to corruption andbrought into the same glorious freedom as the children of God.	21 Porque también la creación será liberada de la esclavitud de la corrupción para participar de la gloriosa libertad de los hijos de Dios.
22 We are wel aware that the whole creation, until this time, has been groaning in labour pains.	22 Sabemos que la creación entera, hasta el presente, gime y sufre dolores de parto.
23 And not only that: we too, who have the first-fruits of the Spirit, even we are groaning insideourselves, waiting with eagerness for our bodies to be set free.	23 Y no sólo ella: también nosotros, que poseemos las primicias del Espíritu, gemimos interiormente anhelando que se realice la redención de nuestro cuerpo.
24 In hope, we already have salvation; in hope, not visibly present, or we should not be hoping -- nobodygoes on hoping for something which is already visible.	24 Porque solamente en esperanza estamos salvados. Ahora bien, cuando se ve lo que se espera, ya no se espera más: ¿acaso se puede esperar lo que se ve?
25 But having this hope for what we cannot yet see, we are able to wait for it with perseveringconfidence.	25 En cambio, si esperamos lo que no vemos, lo esperamos con constancia.
26 And as wel as this, the Spirit too comes to help us in our weakness, for, when we do not know how topray properly, then the Spirit personal y makes our petitions for us in groans that cannot be put into words;	26 Igualmente, el mismo Espíritu viene en ayuda de nuestra debilidad porque no sabemos orar como es debido; pero es Espíritu intercede por nosotros con gemidos inefables.
27 and he who can see into al hearts knows what the Spirit means because the prayers that the Spiritmakes for God's holy people are always in accordance with the mind of God.	27 Y el que sondea los corazones conoce el deseo del Espíritu y sabe que su intercesión en favor de los santos está de acuerdo con la voluntad divina.
28 We are wel aware that God works with those who love him, those who have been cal ed inaccordance with his purpose, and turns everything to their good.	28 Sabemos, además, que Dios dispone, todas las cosas para el bien de los que lo aman, de aquellos que él llamó según su designio.
29 He decided beforehand who were the ones destined to be moulded to the pattern of his Son, so thathe should be the eldest of many brothers;	29 En efecto, a los que Dios conoció de antemano, los predestinó a reproducir la imagen de su Hijo, para que él fuera el Primogénito entre muchos hermanos;
30 it was those so destined that he cal ed; those that he cal ed, he justified, and those that he hasjustified he has brought into glory.	30 y a los que predestinó, también los llamó; y a los que llamó, también los justificó; y a los que justificó, también los glorificó.
31 After saying this, what can we add? If God is for us, who can be against us?	31 ¿Qué diremos después de todo esto? Si Dios está con nosotros, ¿quién estará contra nosotros?
32 Since he did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for the sake of all of us, then can we not expectthat with him he wil freely give us al his gifts?	32 El que no escatimó a su propio Hijo, sino que lo entregó por todos nosotros, ¿no nos concederá con él toda clase de favores?
33 Who can bring any accusation against those that God has chosen? When God grants saving justice	33 ¿Quién podrá acusar a los elegidos de Dios? Dios es el que justifica.
34 who can condemn? Are we not sure that it is Christ Jesus, who died -- yes and more, who was raised from the dead and is at God's right hand -- and who is adding his plea for us?	34 ¿Quién se atreverá a condenarlos? ¿Será acaso Jesucristo, el que murió, más aún, el que resucitó, y está a la derecha de Dios e intercede por nosotros?
35 Can anything cut us off from the love of Christ -- can hardships or distress, or persecution, or lack offood and clothing, or threats or violence;	35 ¿Quién podrá entonces separarnos del amor de Cristo? ¿Las tribulaciones, las angustias, la persecución, el hambre, la desnudez, los peligros, la espada?
36 as scripture says: For your sake we are being massacred al day long, treated as sheep to beslaughtered?	36 Como dice la Escritura: Por tu causa somos entregados continuamente a la muerte; se nos considera como a ovejas destinadas al matadero.
37 No; we come through al these things triumphantly victorious, by the power of him who loved us.	37 Pero en todo esto obtenemos una amplia victoria, gracias a aquel que nos amó.
38 For I am certain of this: neither death nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nothing already inexistence and nothing stil to come, nor any power,	38 Porque tengo la certeza de que ni la muerte ni la vida, ni los ángeles ni los principados, ni lo presente ni lo futuro, ni los poderes espirituales,
39 nor the heights nor the depths, nor any created thing whatever, wil be able to come between us andthe love of God, known to us in Christ Jesus our Lord.	39 ni lo alto ni lo profundo, ni ninguna otra criatura podrá separarnos jamás del amor de Dios, manifestado en Cristo Jesús, nuestro Señor.
