NEW JERUSALEM	KÁLDI-NEOVULGÁTA
1 Thus, condemnation wil never come to those who are in Christ Jesus,	1 Nincs tehát már semmi kárhoztató ítélet azok ellen, akik Krisztus Jézusban vannak.
2 because the law of the Spirit which gives life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin anddeath.	2 Mert a Krisztus Jézusban való élet Lelkének törvénye megszabadított engem a bűn és a halál törvényétől.
3 What the Law could not do because of the weakness of human nature, God did, sending his own Sonin the same human nature as any sinner to be a sacrifice for sin, and condemning sin in that human nature.	3 Ami ugyanis lehetetlen volt a törvénynek, mert a test erőtlenné tette, azt Isten megtette. Elküldte a bűn miatt saját Fiát a bűn testéhez hasonló testben, és kárhoztató ítéletet hozott a bűn ellen a testben,
4 This was so that the Law's requirements might be fully satisfied in us as we direct our lives not by ournatural inclinations but by the Spirit.	4 hogy a törvény által megkövetelt igazságosság beteljesedjék mibennünk, akik nem élünk test szerint, hanem Lélek szerint.
5 Those who are living by their natural inclinations have their minds on the things human nature desires;those who live in the Spirit have their minds on spiritual things.	5 A testi ember ugyanis a testi dolgokra törekszik, a Lélek embere pedig a Lélek dolgaira törekszik.
6 And human nature has nothing to look forward to but death, while the Spirit looks forward to life andpeace,	6 Mert a test törekvése a halál, a Lélek törekvése pedig élet és béke,
7 because the outlook of disordered human nature is opposed to God, since it does not submit to God'sLaw, and indeed it cannot,	7 mivel a test törekvése ellenszegülés az Istennek, mert nem veti alá magát Isten törvényének, hiszen nem is képes rá.
8 and those who live by their natural inclinations can never be pleasing to God.	8 Márpedig a testi ember nem lehet kedves Isten előtt.
9 You, however, live not by your natural inclinations, but by the Spirit, since the Spirit of God has made ahome in you. Indeed, anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him.	9 Ti azonban nem test szerinti, hanem Lélek szerinti emberek vagytok, ha valóban Isten Lelke lakik bennetek. Akiben viszont nincs meg Krisztus Lelke, az nem az övé.
10 But when Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin but the spirit is alive because you havebeen justified;	10 Ha azonban Krisztus bennetek van, a test halott ugyan a bűn miatt, de a Lélek életet ad az igazságosság által.
11 and if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead has made his home in you, then he whoraised Christ Jesus from the dead wil give life to your own mortal bodies through his Spirit living in you.	11 S ha annak Lelke lakik bennetek, aki feltámasztotta Jézust a halottak közül, akkor Ő, aki feltámasztotta Jézus Krisztust a halálból, életre kelti halandó testeteket is a bennetek lakó Lelke által.
12 So then, my brothers, we have no obligation to human nature to be dominated by it.	12 Ennélfogva, testvérek, nem vagyunk a test lekötelezettjei, hogy a test szerint éljünk.
13 If you do live in that way, you are doomed to die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the habitsoriginating in the body, you will have life.	13 Ha ugyanis a test szerint éltek, meghaltok, de ha a Lélekkel megölitek a test cselekedeteit, élni fogtok.
14 Al who are guided by the Spirit of God are sons of God;	14 Mert akiket Isten Lelke vezérel, azok Isten fiai.
15 for what you received was not the spirit of slavery to bring you back into fear; you received the Spiritof adoption, enabling us to cry out, 'Abba, Father!'	15 Nem a szolgaság lelkét kaptátok ugyanis, hogy ismét csak féljetek, hanem a gyermekké fogadás Lelkét, amelyben azt kiáltjuk: »Abba, Atyánk!«
16 The Spirit himself joins with our spirit to bear witness that we are children of God.	16 Maga a Lélek tesz lelkünkkel együtt tanúságot, hogy Isten fiai vagyunk.
17 And if we are children, then we are heirs, heirs of God and joint-heirs with Christ, provided that weshare his suffering, so as to share his glory.	17 Ha pedig fiai, akkor örökösök is: Isten örökösei, Krisztusnak pedig társörökösei – ha vele együtt szenvedünk, hogy vele együtt meg is dicsőüljünk.
18 In my estimation, al that we suffer in the present time is nothing in comparison with the glory which isdestined to be disclosed for us,	18 Azt tartom ugyanis, hogy mindaz, amit most szenvedünk, nem mérhető össze a jövendő dicsőséggel, amely meg fog nyilvánulni rajtunk.
19 for the whole creation is waiting with eagerness for the children of God to be revealed.	19 Mert a teremtett világ sóvárogva várja, hogy Isten fiai megnyilvánuljanak.
20 It was not for its own purposes that creation had frustration imposed on it, but for the purposes of himwho imposed it-	20 Hiszen a teremtett világ hiábavalóságnak van alávetve, nem önként, hanem az által, aki alávetette, mégpedig azzal a reménységgel,
21 with the intention that the whole creation itself might be freed from its slavery to corruption andbrought into the same glorious freedom as the children of God.	21 hogy a teremtett világ is felszabadul majd a romlandóság szolgaságából Isten fiai dicsőségének szabadságára.
22 We are wel aware that the whole creation, until this time, has been groaning in labour pains.	22 Tudjuk ugyanis, hogy minden teremtmény együtt sóhajtozik és vajúdik mind ez ideig.
23 And not only that: we too, who have the first-fruits of the Spirit, even we are groaning insideourselves, waiting with eagerness for our bodies to be set free.	23 De nemcsak azok, hanem mi is, akik magunkban hordjuk a Lélek zsengéit: mi magunk is sóhajtozunk bensőnkben, s várjuk a fogadott fiúságot, testünk megváltását.
24 In hope, we already have salvation; in hope, not visibly present, or we should not be hoping -- nobodygoes on hoping for something which is already visible.	24 Üdvözülésünk ugyanis reménybeli. Ha látjuk azt, amit remélünk, az nem reménység; hisz ki remélné azt, amit lát?
25 But having this hope for what we cannot yet see, we are able to wait for it with perseveringconfidence.	25 Ha pedig azt reméljük, amit nem látunk, akkor várjuk is türelemmel.
26 And as wel as this, the Spirit too comes to help us in our weakness, for, when we do not know how topray properly, then the Spirit personal y makes our petitions for us in groans that cannot be put into words;	26 Hasonlóképpen a Lélek is segítségünkre van erőtlenségünkben, mert nem tudjuk, hogyan imádkozzunk helyesen; de maga a Lélek jár közben értünk szavakba nem foglalható sóhajtásokkal.
27 and he who can see into al hearts knows what the Spirit means because the prayers that the Spiritmakes for God's holy people are always in accordance with the mind of God.	27 Aki azonban vizsgálja a szíveket, tudja, hogy melyek a Lélek kívánságai, tudja, hogy közbenjár a szentekért Isten akarata szerint.
28 We are wel aware that God works with those who love him, those who have been cal ed inaccordance with his purpose, and turns everything to their good.	28 Tudjuk, hogy az Istent szeretőknek minden javukra válik, azoknak, akik az ő végzése értelmében meghívást kaptak, hogy szentek legyenek.
29 He decided beforehand who were the ones destined to be moulded to the pattern of his Son, so thathe should be the eldest of many brothers;	29 Mert akiket eleve ismert, azokat eleve arra is rendelte, hogy hasonlók legyenek Fia képmásához, s így ő elsőszülött legyen a sok testvér között.
30 it was those so destined that he cal ed; those that he cal ed, he justified, and those that he hasjustified he has brought into glory.	30 Akiket pedig eleve elrendelt, azokat meg is hívta; és akiket meghívott, azokat megigazultakká is tette; akiket pedig megigazultakká tett, azokat meg is dicsőítette.
31 After saying this, what can we add? If God is for us, who can be against us?	31 Mit mondjunk tehát mindezek után? Ha Isten velünk, ki ellenünk?
32 Since he did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for the sake of all of us, then can we not expectthat with him he wil freely give us al his gifts?	32 Ő, aki tulajdon Fiát sem kímélte, hanem odaadta értünk, mindnyájunkért, ne ajándékozna vele együtt mindent nekünk?
33 Who can bring any accusation against those that God has chosen? When God grants saving justice	33 Ki lenne vádlója Isten választottjainak? Talán Isten, aki a megigazulást adja?
34 who can condemn? Are we not sure that it is Christ Jesus, who died -- yes and more, who was raised from the dead and is at God's right hand -- and who is adding his plea for us?	34 Ki lenne hát az, aki kárhoztat? Talán Krisztus Jézus, aki meghalt, mi több, fel is támadt, Isten jobbján van, és közben is jár értünk?
35 Can anything cut us off from the love of Christ -- can hardships or distress, or persecution, or lack offood and clothing, or threats or violence;	35 Ki szakíthat el minket Krisztus szeretetétől? Nyomorúság vagy szorongatás? Üldözés, éhség, mezítelenség, veszedelem, vagy kard?
36 as scripture says: For your sake we are being massacred al day long, treated as sheep to beslaughtered?	36 Amint írva van: »Miattad gyilkolnak minket naphosszat, olybá vesznek, mint a leölésre szánt juhokat«.
37 No; we come through al these things triumphantly victorious, by the power of him who loved us.	37 De mindezeken győzedelmeskedünk azáltal, aki szeret minket.
38 For I am certain of this: neither death nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nothing already inexistence and nothing stil to come, nor any power,	38 Abban ugyanis biztos vagyok, hogy sem halál, sem élet, sem angyalok, sem fejedelemségek, sem jelenvalók, sem jövendők, sem erők,
39 nor the heights nor the depths, nor any created thing whatever, wil be able to come between us andthe love of God, known to us in Christ Jesus our Lord.	39 sem magasság, sem mélység, sem egyéb teremtmény el nem szakíthat minket Isten szeretetétől, amely Krisztus Jézusban, a mi Urunkban van.
