1 Once, when Peter and John were going up to the Temple for the prayers at the ninth hour,	1 ܘܗܘܐ ܕܟܕ ܤܠܩܝܢ ܫܡܥܘܢ ܟܐܦܐ ܘܝܘܚܢܢ ܐܟܚܕܐ ܠܗܝܟܠܐ ܒܥܕܢܐ ܕܨܠܘܬܐ ܕܬܫܥ ܫܥܝܢ ܀
2 it happened that there was a man being carried along. He was a cripple from birth; and they used to puthim down every day near the Temple entrance cal ed the Beautiful Gate so that he could beg from the peoplegoing in.	2 ܘܗܐ ܓܒܪܐ ܚܕ ܚܓܝܪܐ ܕܡܢ ܟܪܤ ܐܡܗ ܫܩܝܠܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܐܢܫܐ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܡܥܕܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܡܝܬܝܢ ܘܤܝܡܝܢ ܠܗ ܒܬܪܥܐ ܕܗܝܟܠܐ ܕܡܬܩܪܐ ܫܦܝܪܐ ܕܢܗܘܐ ܫܐܠ ܙܕܩܬܐ ܡܢ ܗܢܘܢ ܕܥܐܠܝܢ ܠܗܝܟܠܐ ܀
3 When this man saw Peter and John on their way into the Temple he begged from them.	3 ܗܢܐ ܟܕ ܚܙܐ ܠܫܡܥܘܢ ܘܠܝܘܚܢܢ ܕܥܐܠܝܢ ܠܗܝܟܠܐ ܒܥܐ ܗܘܐ ܡܢܗܘܢ ܕܢܬܠܘܢ ܠܗ ܙܕܩܬܐ ܀
4 Peter, and John too, looked straight at him and said, 'Look at us.'	4 ܘܚܪܘ ܒܗ ܫܡܥܘܢ ܘܝܘܚܢܢ ܘܐܡܪܘ ܠܗ ܚܘܪ ܒܢ ܀
5 He turned to them expectantly, hoping to get something from them,	5 ܗܘ ܕܝܢ ܚܪ ܒܗܘܢ ܟܕ ܤܒܪ ܗܘܐ ܠܡܤܒ ܡܢܗܘܢ ܡܕܡ ܀
6 but Peter said, 'I have neither silver nor gold, but I wil give you what I have: in the name of Jesus Christthe Nazarene, walk!'	6 ܐܡܪ ܠܗ ܫܡܥܘܢ ܕܗܒܐ ܘܤܐܡܐ ܠܝܬ ܠܝ ܐܠܐ ܡܕܡ ܕܐܝܬ ܠܝ ܝܗܒ ܐܢܐ ܠܟ ܒܫܡܗ ܕܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܢܨܪܝܐ ܩܘܡ ܗܠܟ ܀
7 Then he took him by the right hand and helped him to stand up. Instantly his feet and ankles becamefirm,	7 ܘܐܚܕܗ ܒܐܝܕܗ ܕܝܡܝܢܐ ܘܐܩܝܡܗ ܘܒܗ ܒܫܥܬܐ ܫܪ ܪܓܠܘܗܝ ܘܥܩܒܘܗܝ ܀
8 he jumped up, stood, and began to walk, and he went with them into the Temple, walking and jumpingand praising God.	8 ܘܫܘܪ ܩܡ ܘܗܠܟ ܘܥܠ ܥܡܗܘܢ ܠܗܝܟܠܐ ܟܕ ܡܗܠܟ ܘܡܫܘܪ ܘܡܫܒܚ ܠܐܠܗܐ ܀
9 Everyone could see him walking and praising God,	9 ܘܚܙܐܘܗܝ ܟܠܗ ܥܡܐ ܟܕ ܡܗܠܟ ܘܡܫܒܚ ܠܐܠܗܐ ܀
10 and they recognised him as the man who used to sit begging at the Beautiful Gate of the Temple. Theywere all astonished and perplexed at what had happened to him.	10 ܘܐܫܬܘܕܥܘ ܕܗܘܝܘ ܗܘ ܚܕܘܪܐ ܕܝܬܒ ܗܘܐ ܟܠܝܘܡ ܘܫܐܠ ܙܕܩܬܐ ܥܠ ܬܪܥܐ ܕܡܬܩܪܐ ܫܦܝܪܐ ܘܐܬܡܠܝܘ ܬܡܗܐ ܘܕܘܡܪܐ ܥܠ ܡܕܡ ܕܗܘܐ ܀
11 Everyone came running towards them in great excitement, to the Portico of Solomon, as it is called,where the man was stil clinging to Peter and John.	11 ܘܟܕ ܐܚܝܕ ܗܘܐ ܠܫܡܥܘܢ ܘܠܝܘܚܢܢ ܪܗܛ ܟܠܗ ܥܡܐ ܟܕ ܬܗܝܪ ܠܘܬܗܘܢ ܠܐܤܛܘܐ ܕܡܬܩܪܐ ܕܫܠܝܡܘܢ ܀
12 When Peter saw the people he addressed them, 'Men of Israel, why are you so surprised at this? Whyare you staring at us as though we had made this man walk by our own power or holiness?	12 ܘܟܕ ܚܙܐ ܫܡܥܘܢ ܥܢܐ ܘܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܓܒܪܐ ܒܢܝ ܐܝܤܪܝܠ ܡܢܐ ܡܬܕܡܪܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܒܗܢܐ ܐܘ ܒܢ ܡܢܐ ܚܝܪܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܐܝܟ ܗܘ ܕܒܚܝܠܐ ܕܝܠܢ ܐܘ ܒܫܘܠܛܢܢ ܥܒܕܢ ܗܕܐ ܕܢܗܠܟ ܗܢܐ ܀
13 It is the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the God of our ancestors, who has glorified his servantJesus whom you handed over and then disowned in the presence of Pilate after he had given his verdict torelease him.	13 ܐܠܗܗ ܗܘ ܕܐܒܪܗܡ ܘܕܐܝܤܚܩ ܘܕܝܥܩܘܒ ܐܠܗܐ ܕܐܒܗܬܢ ܫܒܚ ܠܒܪܗ ܝܫܘܥ ܗܘ ܕܐܢܬܘܢ ܐܫܠܡܬܘܢ ܘܟܦܪܬܘܢ ܒܗ ܩܕܡ ܐܦܘܗܝ ܕܦܝܠܛܘܤ ܟܕ ܗܘ ܙܕܩ ܗܘܐ ܕܢܫܪܝܘܗܝ ܀
14 It was you who accused the Holy and Upright One, you who demanded that a murderer should bereleased to you	14 ܐܢܬܘܢ ܕܝܢ ܒܩܕܝܫܐ ܘܙܕܝܩܐ ܟܦܪܬܘܢ ܘܫܐܠܬܘܢ ܠܟܘܢ ܠܓܒܪܐ ܩܛܘܠܐ ܕܢܬܝܗܒ ܠܟܘܢ ܀
15 while you killed the prince of life. God, however, raised him from the dead, and to that fact we are witnesses;	15 ܘܠܗܘ ܪܫܐ ܕܚܝܐ ܩܛܠܬܘܢ ܕܠܗ ܐܩܝܡ ܐܠܗܐ ܡܢ ܒܝܬ ܡܝܬܐ ܘܚܢܢ ܟܠܢ ܤܗܕܘܗܝ ܀
16 and it is the name of Jesus which, through faith in him, has brought back the strength of this manwhom you see here and who is wel known to you. It is faith in him that has restored this man to health, as youcan al see.	16 ܘܒܗܝܡܢܘܬܐ ܕܫܡܗ ܠܗܢܐ ܕܚܙܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܘܝܕܥܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܗܘ ܐܫܪ ܘܐܤܝ ܘܗܝܡܢܘܬܐ ܕܒܗ ܝܗܒܬ ܠܗ ܗܕܐ ܚܠܝܡܘܬܐ ܩܕܡ ܟܠܟܘܢ ܀
17 'Now I know, brothers, that neither you nor your leaders had any idea what you were real y doing;	17 ܒܪܡ ܗܫܐ ܐܚܝ ܝܕܥ ܐܢܐ ܕܒܛܘܥܝܝ ܥܒܕܬܘܢ ܗܕܐ ܐܝܟ ܕܥܒܕܘ ܪܫܝܟܘܢ ܀
18 but this was the way God carried out what he had foretold, when he said through all his prophets thathis Christ would suffer.	18 ܘܐܠܗܐ ܐܝܟ ܡܕܡ ܕܩܕܡ ܐܟܪܙ ܒܦܘܡ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܢܒܝܐ ܕܢܚܫ ܡܫܝܚܗ ܡܠܝ ܗܟܢܐ ܀
19 Now you must repent and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out,	19 ܬܘܒܘ ܗܟܝܠ ܘܐܬܦܢܘ ܐܝܟܢܐ ܕܢܬܥܛܘܢ ܚܛܗܝܟܘܢ ܘܢܐܬܘܢ ܠܟܘܢ ܙܒܢܐ ܕܢܝܚܬܐ ܡܢ ܩܕܡ ܦܪܨܘܦܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܀
20 and so that the Lord may send the time of comfort. Then he wil send you the Christ he haspredestined, that is Jesus,	20 ܘܢܫܕܪ ܠܟܘܢ ܠܐܝܢܐ ܕܡܛܝܒ ܗܘܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܠܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܀
21 whom heaven must keep til the universal restoration comes which God proclaimed, speaking throughhis holy prophets.	21 ܕܠܗ ܘܠܐ ܠܫܡܝܐ ܕܢܩܒܠܘܢ ܥܕܡܐ ܠܡܘܠܝܐ ܕܙܒܢܐ ܕܟܠܗܝܢ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܡܠܠ ܐܠܗܐ ܒܦܘܡܐ ܕܢܒܝܘܗܝ ܩܕܝܫܐ ܕܡܢ ܥܠܡ ܀
22 Moses, for example, said, "From among your brothers the Lord God wil raise up for you a prophet likeme; you wil listen to whatever he tells you.	22 ܡܘܫܐ ܓܝܪ ܐܡܪ ܕܢܒܝܐ ܢܩܝܡ ܠܟܘܢ ܡܪܝܐ ܡܢ ܐܚܝܟܘܢ ܐܟܘܬܝ ܠܗ ܫܡܥܘ ܒܟܠ ܡܐ ܕܢܡܠܠ ܥܡܟܘܢ ܀
23 Anyone who refuses to listen to that prophet shal be cut off from the people."	23 ܘܬܗܘܐ ܟܠ ܢܦܫܐ ܐܝܕܐ ܕܠܐ ܬܫܡܥ ܠܢܒܝܐ ܗܘ ܬܐܒܕ ܢܦܫܐ ܗܝ ܡܢ ܥܡܗ ܀
24 In fact, al the prophets that have ever spoken, from Samuel onwards, have predicted these days.	24 ܘܢܒܝܐ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܡܢ ܫܡܘܐܝܠ ܘܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܡܢ ܒܬܪܗ ܗܘܘ ܡܠܠܘ ܘܐܟܪܙܘ ܥܠ ܝܘܡܬܐ ܗܢܘܢ ܀
25 'You are the heirs of the prophets, the heirs of the covenant God made with your ancestors when hetold Abraham, "Al the nations of the earth will be blessed in your descendants".	25 ܐܢܬܘܢ ܐܢܘܢ ܒܢܝܗܘܢ ܕܢܒܝܐ ܘܕܕܝܬܩܐ ܐܝܕܐ ܕܤܡ ܐܠܗܐ ܠܐܒܗܬܢ ܟܕ ܐܡܪ ܠܐܒܪܗܡ ܕܒܙܪܥܟ ܢܬܒܪܟܢ ܟܠܗܝܢ ܫܪܒܬܐ ܕܐܪܥܐ ܀
26 It was for you in the first place that God raised up his servant and sent him to bless you as every one ofyou turns from his wicked ways.'	26 ܠܟܘܢ ܡܢ ܩܕܝܡ ܐܩܝܡ ܘܫܕܪ ܐܠܗܐ ܠܒܪܗ ܟܕ ܡܒܪܟ ܠܟܘܢ ܐܢ ܬܬܦܢܘܢ ܘܬܬܘܒܘܢ ܡܢ ܒܝܫܬܟܘܢ ܀
