NEW JERUSALEM	SMITH VAN DYKE
1 Once, when Peter and John were going up to the Temple for the prayers at the ninth hour,	1 وصعد بطرس ويوحنا معا الى الهيكل في ساعة الصلاة التاسعة‎.
2 it happened that there was a man being carried along. He was a cripple from birth; and they used to puthim down every day near the Temple entrance cal ed the Beautiful Gate so that he could beg from the peoplegoing in.	2 ‎وكان رجل اعرج من بطن امه يحمل. كانوا يضعونه كل يوم عند باب الهيكل الذي يقال له الجميل ليسأل صدقة من الذين يدخلون الهيكل‎.
3 When this man saw Peter and John on their way into the Temple he begged from them.	3 ‎فهذا لما رأى بطرس ويوحنا مزمعين ان يدخلا الهيكل سأل ليأخذ صدقة.
4 Peter, and John too, looked straight at him and said, 'Look at us.'	4 فتفرس فيه بطرس مع يوحنا وقال انظر الينا‎.
5 He turned to them expectantly, hoping to get something from them,	5 ‎فلاحظهما منتظرا ان يأخذ منهما شيئا‎.
6 but Peter said, 'I have neither silver nor gold, but I wil give you what I have: in the name of Jesus Christthe Nazarene, walk!'	6 ‎فقال بطرس ليس لي فضة ولا ذهب ولكن الذي لي فاياه اعطيك. باسم يسوع المسيح الناصري قم وامش‎.
7 Then he took him by the right hand and helped him to stand up. Instantly his feet and ankles becamefirm,	7 ‎وامسكه بيده اليمنى واقامه ففي الحال تشددت رجلاه وكعباه
8 he jumped up, stood, and began to walk, and he went with them into the Temple, walking and jumpingand praising God.	8 فوثب ووقف وصار يمشي ودخل معهما الى الهيكل وهو يمشي ويطفر ويسبح الله‎.
9 Everyone could see him walking and praising God,	9 ‎وابصره جميع الشعب وهو يمشي ويسبح الله‎.
10 and they recognised him as the man who used to sit begging at the Beautiful Gate of the Temple. Theywere all astonished and perplexed at what had happened to him.	10 ‎وعرفوه انه هو الذي كان يجلس لاجل الصدقة على باب الهيكل الجميل فامتلأوا دهشة وحيرة مما حدث له
11 Everyone came running towards them in great excitement, to the Portico of Solomon, as it is called,where the man was stil clinging to Peter and John.	11 وبينما كان الرجل الاعرج الذي شفي متمسكا ببطرس ويوحنا تراكض اليهم جميع الشعب الى الرواق الذي يقال له رواق سليمان وهم مندهشون‎.
12 When Peter saw the people he addressed them, 'Men of Israel, why are you so surprised at this? Whyare you staring at us as though we had made this man walk by our own power or holiness?	12 ‎فلما رأى بطرس ذلك اجاب الشعب ايها الرجال الاسرائيليون ما بالكم تتعجبون من هذا ولماذا تشخصون الينا كاننا بقوتنا او تقوانا قد جعلنا هذا يمشي‎.
13 It is the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the God of our ancestors, who has glorified his servantJesus whom you handed over and then disowned in the presence of Pilate after he had given his verdict torelease him.	13 ‎ان اله ابراهيم واسحق ويعقوب اله آبائنا مجد فتاه يسوع الذي اسلمتموه انتم وانكرتموه امام وجه بيلاطس وهو حاكم باطلاقه‎.
14 It was you who accused the Holy and Upright One, you who demanded that a murderer should bereleased to you	14 ‎ولكن انتم انكرتم القدوس البار وطلبتم ان يوهب لكم رجل قاتل‎.
15 while you killed the prince of life. God, however, raised him from the dead, and to that fact we are witnesses;	15 ‎ورئيس الحياة قتلتموه الذي اقامه الله من الاموات ونحن شهود لذلك.
16 and it is the name of Jesus which, through faith in him, has brought back the strength of this manwhom you see here and who is wel known to you. It is faith in him that has restored this man to health, as youcan al see.	16 وبالايمان باسمه شدد اسمه هذا الذي تنظرونه وتعرفونه والايمان الذي بواسطته اعطاه هذه الصحة امام جميعكم
17 'Now I know, brothers, that neither you nor your leaders had any idea what you were real y doing;	17 والآن ايها الاخوة انا اعلم انكم بجهالة عملتم كما رؤساؤكم ايضا.
18 but this was the way God carried out what he had foretold, when he said through all his prophets thathis Christ would suffer.	18 واما الله فما سبق وانبأ به بافواه جميع انبيائه ان يتألم المسيح قد تممه هكذا‎.
19 Now you must repent and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out,	19 ‎فتوبوا وارجعوا لتمحى خطاياكم لكي تأتي اوقات الفرج من وجه الرب.
20 and so that the Lord may send the time of comfort. Then he wil send you the Christ he haspredestined, that is Jesus,	20 ويرسل يسوع المسيح المبشر به لكم قبل‎.
21 whom heaven must keep til the universal restoration comes which God proclaimed, speaking throughhis holy prophets.	21 ‎الذي ينبغي ان السماء تقبله الى ازمنة رد كل شيء التي تكلم عنها الله بفم جميع انبيائه القديسين منذ الدهر‎.
22 Moses, for example, said, "From among your brothers the Lord God wil raise up for you a prophet likeme; you wil listen to whatever he tells you.	22 ‎فان موسى قال للآباء ان نبيا مثلي سيقيم لكم الرب الهكم من اخوتكم. له تسمعون في كل ما يكلمكم به‎.
23 Anyone who refuses to listen to that prophet shal be cut off from the people."	23 ‎ويكون ان كل نفس لا تسمع لذلك النبي تباد من الشعب‎.
24 In fact, al the prophets that have ever spoken, from Samuel onwards, have predicted these days.	24 ‎وجميع الانبياء ايضا من صموئيل فما بعده جميع الذين تكلموا سبقوا وانبأوا بهذه الايام‎.
25 'You are the heirs of the prophets, the heirs of the covenant God made with your ancestors when hetold Abraham, "Al the nations of the earth will be blessed in your descendants".	25 ‎انتم ابناء الانبياء والعهد الذي عاهد به الله آباءنا قائلا لابراهيم وبنسلك تتبارك جميع قبائل الارض‎.
26 It was for you in the first place that God raised up his servant and sent him to bless you as every one ofyou turns from his wicked ways.'	26 ‎اليكم اولا اذ اقام الله فتاه يسوع ارسله يبارككم برد كل واحد منكم عن شروره
