John 13

NEW JERUSALEM	SMITH VAN DYKE
1 Before the festival of the Passover, Jesus, knowing that his hour had come to pass from this world tothe Father, having loved those who were his in the world, loved them to the end.	1 اما يسوع قبل عيد الفصح وهو عالم ان ساعته قد جاءت لينتقل من هذا العالم الى الآب اذ كان قد احب خاصته الذين في العالم احبهم الى المنتهى.
2 They were at supper, and the devil had already put it into the mind of Judas Iscariot son of Simon, tobetray him.	2 فحين كان العشاء وقد ألقى الشيطان في قلب يهوذا سمعان الاسخريوطي ان يسلمه.
3 Jesus knew that the Father had put everything into his hands, and that he had come from God andwas returning to God,	3 يسوع وهو عالم ان الآب قد دفع كل شيء الى يديه وانه من عند الله خرج والى الله يمضي.
4 and he got up from table, removed his outer garments and, taking a towel, wrapped it round his waist;	4 قام عن العشاء وخلع ثيابه واخذ منشفة واتّزر بها.
5 he then poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples' feet and to wipe them with thetowel he was wearing.	5 ثم صبّ ماء في مغسل وابتدأ يغسل ارجل التلاميذ ويمسحها بالمنشفة التي كان متزرا بها.
6 He came to Simon Peter, who said to him, 'Lord, are you going to wash my feet?'	6 فجاء الى سمعان بطرس فقال له ذاك يا سيد انت تغسل رجليّ.
7 Jesus answered, 'At the moment you do not know what I am doing, but later you wil understand.'	7 اجاب يسوع وقال له لست تعلم انت الآن ما انا اصنع ولكنك ستفهم فيما بعد.
8 'Never!' said Peter. 'You shal never wash my feet.' Jesus replied, 'If I do not wash you, you can haveno share with me.' Simon Peter said,	8 قال له بطرس لن تغسل رجليّ ابدا. اجابه يسوع ان كنت لا اغسلك فليس لك معي نصيب.
9 'Well then, Lord, not only my feet, but my hands and my head as wel !'	9 قال له سمعان بطرس يا سيد ليس رجليّ فقط بل ايضا يديّ وراسي.
10 Jesus said, 'No one who has had a bath needs washing, such a person is clean all over. You too areclean, though not all of you are.'	10 قال له يسوع. الذي قد اغتسل ليس له حاجة الا الى غسل رجليه بل هو طاهر كله. وانتم طاهرون ولكن ليس كلكم.
11 He knew who was going to betray him, and that was why he said, 'though not al of you are'.	11 لانه عرف مسلمه. لذلك قال لستم كلكم طاهرين
12 When he had washed their feet and put on his outer garments again he went back to the table. 'Doyou understand', he said, 'what I have done to you?	12 فلما كان قد غسل ارجلهم واخذ ثيابه واتكأ ايضا قال لهم أتفهمون ما قد صنعت بكم.
13 You cal me Master and Lord, and rightly; so I am.	13 انتم تدعونني معلّما وسيّدا وحسنا تقولون لاني انا كذلك.
14 If I, then, the Lord and Master, have washed your feet, you must wash each other's feet.	14 فان كنت وانا السيد والمعلّم قد غسلت ارجلكم فانتم يجب عليكم ان يغسل بعضكم ارجل بعض.
15 I have given you an example so that you may copy what I have done to you.	15 لاني اعطيتكم مثالا حتى كما صنعت انا بكم تصنعون انتم ايضا.
16 'In al truth I tell you, no servant is greater than his master, no messenger is greater than the one whosent him.	16 الحق الحق اقول لكم انه ليس عبد اعظم من سيده ولا رسول اعظم من مرسله.
17 'Now that you know this, blessed are you if you behave accordingly.	17 ان علمتم هذا فطوباكم ان عملتموه.
18 I am not speaking about al of you: I know the ones I have chosen; but what scripture says must befulfil ed: 'He who shares my table takes advantage of me.	18 لست اقول عن جميعكم. انا اعلم الذين اخترتهم. لكن ليتم الكتاب. الذي يأكل معي الخبز رفع عليّ عقبه.
19 I tel you this now, before it happens, so that when it does happen you may believe that I am He.	19 اقول لكم الآن قبل ان يكون حتى متى كان تؤمنون اني انا هو.
20 In all truth I tell you, whoever welcomes the one I send, welcomes me, and whoever welcomes me,welcomes the one who sent me.'	20 الحق الحق اقول لكم الذي يقبل من أرسله يقبلني. والذي يقبلني يقبل الذي ارسلني
21 Having said this, Jesus was deeply disturbed and declared, 'In al truth I tel you, one of you is goingto betray me.'	21 لما قال يسوع هذا اضطرب بالروح وشهد وقال الحق الحق اقول لكم ان واحدا منكم سيسلمني.
22 The disciples looked at each other, wondering whom he meant.	22 فكان التلاميذ ينظرون بعضهم الى بعض وهم محتارون في من قال عنه.
23 The disciple Jesus loved was reclining next to Jesus;	23 وكان متكئا في حضن يسوع واحد من تلاميذه كان يسوع يحبه.
24 Simon Peter signed to him and said, 'Ask who it is he means,'	24 فاومأ اليه سمعان بطرس ان يسأل من عسى ان يكون الذي قال عنه.
25 so leaning back close to Jesus' chest he said, 'Who is it, Lord?'	25 فاتكأ ذاك على صدر يسوع وقال له يا سيد من هو.
26 Jesus answered, 'It is the one to whom I give the piece of bread that I dip in the dish.' And when hehad dipped the piece of bread he gave it to Judas son of Simon Iscariot.	26 اجاب يسوع هو ذاك الذي اغمس انا اللقمة واعطيه. فغمس اللقمة واعطاها ليهوذا سمعان الاسخريوطي.
27 At that instant, after Judas had taken the bread, Satan entered him. Jesus then said, 'What you aregoing to do, do quickly.'	27 فبعد اللقمة دخله الشيطان. فقال له يسوع ما انت تعمله فاعمله باكثر سرعة.
28 None of the others at table understood why he said this.	28 واما هذا فلم يفهم احد من المتكئين لماذا كلمه به.
29 Since Judas had charge of the common fund, some of them thought Jesus was telling him, 'Buy whatwe need for the festival,' or tel ing him to give something to the poor.	29 لان قوما اذ كان الصندوق مع يهوذا ظنوا ان يسوع قال له اشتر ما نحتاج اليه للعيد. او ان يعطي شيئا للفقراء
30 As soon as Judas had taken the piece of bread he went out. It was night.	30 فذاك لما اخذ اللقمة خرج للوقت. وكان ليلا.
31 When he had gone, Jesus said: Now has the Son of man been glorified, and in him God has beenglorified.	31 فلما خرج قال يسوع الآن تمجد ابن الانسان وتمجد الله فيه.
32 If God has been glorified in him, God wil in turn glorify him in himself, and wil glorify him very soon.	32 ان كان الله قد تمجد فيه فان الله سيمجده في ذاته ويمجده سريعا.
33 Little children, I shal be with you only a little longer. You will look for me, and, as I told the Jews,where I am going, you cannot come.	33 يا اولادي انا معكم زمانا قليلا بعد. ستطلبونني وكما قلت لليهود حيث اذهب انا لا تقدرون انتم ان تأتوا اقول لكم انتم الآن.
34 I give you a new commandment: love one another; you must love one another just as I have lovedyou.	34 وصية جديدة انا اعطيكم ان تحبوا بعضكم بعضا. كما احببتكم انا تحبون انتم ايضا بعضكم بعضا.
35 It is by your love for one another, that everyone wil recognise you as my disciples.	35 بهذا يعرف الجميع انكم تلاميذي ان كان لكم حب بعضا لبعض
36 Simon Peter said, 'Lord, where are you going?' Jesus replied, 'Now you cannot fol ow me where I amgoing, but later you shall fol ow me.'	36 قال له سمعان بطرس يا سيد الى اين تذهب. اجابه يسوع حيث اذهب لا تقدر الآن ان تتبعني ولكنك ستتبعني اخيرا.
37 Peter said to him, 'Why can I not fol ow you now? I will lay down my life for you.'	37 قال له بطرس يا سيد لماذا لا اقدر ان اتبعك الآن. اني اضع نفسي عنك.
38 'Lay down your life for me?' answered Jesus. 'In al truth I tel you, before the cock crows you wilhave disowned me three times.'	38 اجابه يسوع أتضع نفسك عني. الحق الحق اقول لك لا يصيح الديك حتى تنكرني ثلاث مرات
