Luke 21

NEW JERUSALEM	SMITH VAN DYKE
1 Looking up, he saw rich people putting their offerings into the treasury;	1 وتطلع فرأى الاغنياء يلقون قرابينهم في الخزانة.
2 and he noticed a poverty-stricken widow putting in two smal coins,	2 ورأى ايضا ارملة مسكينة ألقت هناك فلسين.
3 and he said, 'I tell you truly, this poor widow has put in more than any of them;	3 فقال بالحق اقول لكم ان هذه الارملة الفقيرة ألقت اكثر من الجميع.
4 for these have al put in money they could spare, but she in her poverty has put in al she had to liveon.'	4 لان هؤلاء من فضلتهم ألقوا في قرابين الله. واما هذه فمن اعوازها ألقت كل المعيشة التي لها
5 When some were talking about the Temple, remarking how it was adorned with fine stonework andvotive offerings, he said,	5 واذ كان قوم يقولون عن الهيكل انه مزين بحجارة حسنة وتحف قال
6 'Al these things you are staring at now -- the time will come when not a single stone will be left onanother; everything will be destroyed.'	6 هذه التي ترونها ستأتي ايام لا يترك فيها حجر على حجر لا ينقض.
7 And they put to him this question, 'Master,' they said, 'when wil this happen, then, and what sign wilthere be that it is about to take place?'	7 فسألوه قائلين يا معلّم متى يكون هذا وما هي العلامة عندما يصير هذا.
8 But he said, 'Take care not to be deceived, because many wil come using my name and saying, "I amthe one" and "The time is near at hand." Refuse to join them.	8 فقال انظروا لا تضلوا. فان كثيرين سيأتون باسمي قائلين اني انا هو والزمان قد قرب. فلا تذهبوا وراءهم.
9 And when you hear of wars and revolutions, do not be terrified, for this is something that must happenfirst, but the end wil not come at once.'	9 فاذا سمعتم بحروب وقلاقل فلا تجزعوا لانه لا بد ان يكون هذا اولا. ولكن لا يكون المنتهى سريعا.
10 Then he said to them, 'Nation wil fight against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.	10 ثم قال لهم تقوم امة على امة ومملكة على مملكة.
11 There wil be great earthquakes and plagues and famines in various places; there wil be terrifyingevents and great signs from heaven.	11 وتكون زلازل عظيمة في اماكن ومجاعات واوبئة. وتكون مخاوف وعلامات عظيمة من السماء.
12 'But before all this happens, you will be seized and persecuted; you will be handed over to thesynagogues and to imprisonment, and brought before kings and governors for the sake of my name	12 وقبل هذا كله يلقون ايديهم عليكم ويطردونكم ويسلمونكم الى مجامع وسجون وتساقون امام ملوك وولاة لاجل اسمي.
13 -and that wil be your opportunity to bear witness.	13 فيؤول ذلك لكم شهادة.
14 Make up your minds not to prepare your defence,	14 فضعوا في قلوبكم ان لا تهتموا من قبل لكي تحتجوا.
15 because I myself shal give you an eloquence and a wisdom that none of your opponents wil be ableto resist or contradict.	15 لاني انا اعطيكم فما وحكمة لا يقدر جميع معانديكم ان يقاوموها او يناقضوها.
16 You wil be betrayed even by parents and brothers, relations and friends; and some of you wil be putto death.	16 وسوف تسلمون من الوالدين والاخوة والاقرباء والاصدقاء. ويقتلون منكم.
17 You wil be hated universal y on account of my name,	17 وتكونون مبغضين من الجميع من اجل اسمي.
18 but not a hair of your head wil be lost.	18 ولكن شعرة من رؤوسكم لا تهلك.
19 Your perseverance wil win you your lives.	19 بصبركم اقتنوا انفسكم.
20 'When you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then you must realise that it wil soon be laiddesolate.	20 ومتى رأيتم اورشليم محاطة بجيوش فحينئذ اعلموا انه قد اقترب خرابها.
21 Then those in Judaea must escape to the mountains, those inside the city must leave it, and those incountry districts must not take refuge in it.	21 حينئذ ليهرب الذين في اليهودية الى الجبال. والذين في وسطها فليفروا خارجا. والذين في الكور فلا يدخلوها.
22 For this is the time of retribution when al that scripture says must be fulfil ed.	22 لان هذه ايام انتقام ليتم كل ما هو مكتوب.
23 Alas for those with child, or with babies at the breast, when those days come!	23 وويل للحبالى والمرضعات في تلك الايام لانه يكون ضيق عظيم على الارض وسخط على هذا الشعب.
24 'For great misery wil descend on the land and retribution on this people. They will fal by the edge ofthe sword and be led captive to every gentile country; and Jerusalem wil be trampled down by the gentiles untiltheir time is complete.	24 ويقعون بفم السيف ويسبون الى جميع الامم. وتكون اورشليم مدوسة من الامم حتى تكمل ازمنة الامم
25 'There will be signs in the sun and moon and stars; on earth nations in agony, bewildered by theturmoil of the ocean and its waves;	25 وتكون علامات في الشمس والقمر والنجوم. وعلى الارض كرب امم بحيرة. البحر والامواج تضج.
26 men fainting away with terror and fear at what menaces the world, for the powers of heaven wil beshaken.	26 والناس يغشى عليهم من خوف وانتظار ما يأتي على المسكونة لان قوات السموات تتزعزع.
27 And then they wil see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.	27 وحينئذ يبصرون ابن الانسان آتيا في سحابة بقوة ومجد كثير.
28 When these things begin to take place, stand erect, hold your heads high, because your liberation isnear at hand.'	28 ومتى ابتدأت هذه تكون فانتصبوا وارفعوا رؤوسكم لان نجاتكم تقترب.
29 And he told them a parable, 'Look at the fig tree and indeed every tree.	29 وقال لهم مثلا. انظروا الى شجرة التين وكل الاشجار.
30 As soon as you see them bud, you can see for yourselves that summer is now near.	30 متى افرخت تنظرون وتعلمون من انفسكم ان الصيف قد قرب.
31 So with you when you see these things happening: know that the kingdom of God is near.	31 هكذا انتم ايضا متى رأيتم هذه الاشياء صائرة فاعلموا ان ملكوت الله قريب.
32 In truth I tell you, before this generation has passed away al wil have taken place.	32 الحق اقول لكم انه لا يمضي هذا الجيل حتى يكون الكل.
33 Sky and earth wil pass away, but my words wil never pass away.	33 السماء والارض تزولان ولكن كلامي لا يزول.
34 'Watch yourselves, or your hearts will be coarsened by debauchery and drunkenness and the caresof life, and that day wil come upon you unexpectedly,	34 فاحترزوا لانفسكم لئلا تثقل قلوبكم في خمار وسكر وهموم الحياة فيصادفكم ذلك اليوم بغتة.
35 like a trap. For it wil come down on all those living on the face of the earth.	35 لانه كالفخ يأتي على جميع الجالسين على وجه كل الارض.
36 Stay awake, praying at all times for the strength to survive all that is going to happen, and to holdyour ground before the Son of man.'	36 اسهروا اذا وتضرعوا في كل حين لكي تحسبوا اهلا للنجاة من جميع هذا المزمع ان يكون وتقفوا قدام ابن الانسان
37 All day long he would be in the Temple teaching, but would spend the night in the open on the hilcal ed the Mount of Olives.	37 وكان في النهار يعلّم في الهيكل وفي الليل يخرج ويبيت في الجبل الذي يدعى جبل الزيتون.
38 And from early morning the people thronged to him in the Temple to listen to him.	38 وكان كل الشعب يبكرون اليه في الهيكل ليسمعوه
