1 When the Sabbath was over, Mary of Magdala, Mary the mother of James, and Salome, bought spiceswith which to go and anoint him.	1 Και αφου επερασε το σαββατον, Μαρια η Μαγδαληνη και Μαρια η μητηρ του Ιακωβου και η Σαλωμη ηγορασαν αρωματα, δια να ελθωσι και αλειψωσιν αυτον.
2 And very early in the morning on the first day of the week they went to the tomb when the sun hadrisen.	2 Και πολλα πρωι της πρωτης ημερας της εβδομαδος ερχονται εις το μνημειον, οτε ανετειλεν ο ηλιος.
3 They had been saying to one another, 'Who wil rol away the stone for us from the entrance to thetomb?'	3 Και ελεγον προς εαυτας? Τις θελει αποκυλισει εις ημας τον λιθον εκ της θυρας του μνημειου;
4 But when they looked they saw that the stone -- which was very big -- had already been rol ed back.	4 Και αναβλεψασαι θεωρουσιν οτι ο λιθος ητο αποκεκυλισμενος? διοτι ητο μεγας σφοδρα.
5 On entering the tomb they saw a young man in a white robe seated on the right-hand side, and theywere struck with amazement.	5 Και εισελθουσαι εις το μνημειον ειδον νεανισκον καθημενον εις τα δεξια, ενδεδυμενον στολην λευκην, και ετρομαξαν.
6 But he said to them, 'There is no need to be so amazed. You are looking for Jesus of Nazareth, whowas crucified: he has risen, he is not here. See, here is the place where they laid him.	6 Ο δε λεγει προς αυτας? Μη τρομαζετε? Ιησουν ζητειτε τον Ναζαρηνον τον εσταυρωμενον? ανεστη, δεν ειναι εδω? ιδου ο τοπος, οπου εθεσαν αυτον.
7 But you must go and tel his disciples and Peter, "He is going ahead of you to Galilee; that is where you wil see him, just as he told you." '	7 Αλλ' υπαγετε, ειπατε προς τους μαθητας αυτου και προς τον Πετρον οτι υπαγει προτερον υμων εις την Γαλιλαιαν? εκει θελετε ιδει αυτον, καθως ειπε προς εσας.
8 And the women came out and ran away from the tomb because they were frightened out of their wits;and they said nothing to anyone, for they were afraid.	8 Και εξελθουσαι ταχεως, εφυγον απο του μνημειου? ειχε δε αυτας τρομος και εκστασις, και δεν ειπον ουδεν προς ουδενα? διοτι εφοβουντο.
9 Having risen in the morning on the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary of Magdala fromwhom he had cast out seven devils.	9 Αφου δε ανεστη το πρωι της πρωτης της εβδομαδος, εφανη πρωτον εις την Μαριαν την Μαγδαληνην, εξ ης ειχεν εκβαλει επτα δαιμονια.
10 She then went to those who had been his companions, and who were mourning and in tears, andtold them.	10 Εκεινη υπηγε και απηγγειλε προς εκεινους, οιτινες ειχον σταθη μετ' αυτου, ενω επενθουν και εκλαιον.
11 But they did not believe her when they heard her say that he was alive and that she had seen him.	11 Και εκεινοι, ακουσαντες οτι ζη και εθεαθη υπ' αυτης, δεν επιστευσαν.
12 After this, he showed himself under another form to two of them as they were on their way into thecountry.	12 Μετα δε ταυτα εφανερωθη εν αλλη μορφη εις δυο εξ αυτων, ενω περιεπατουν και επορευοντο εις τον αγρον.
13 These went back and told the others, who did not believe them either.	13 Και εκεινοι υπηγαν και απηγγειλαν προς τους λοιπους? αλλ' ουδε εις εκεινους επιστευσαν.
14 Lastly, he showed himself to the Eleven themselves while they were at table. He reproached them fortheir incredulity and obstinacy, because they had refused to believe those who had seen him after he had risen.	14 Υστερον εφανη εις τους ενδεκα, ενω εκαθηντο εις την τραπεζαν, και ωνειδισε την απιστιαν αυτων και σκληροκαρδιαν, διοτι δεν επιστευσαν εις τους ιδοντας αυτον ανασταντα.
15 And he said to them, 'Go out to the whole world; proclaim the gospel to al creation.	15 Και ειπε προς αυτους? Υπαγετε εις ολον τον κοσμον και κηρυξατε το ευαγγελιον εις ολην την κτισιν.
16 Whoever believes and is baptised wil be saved; whoever does not believe will be condemned.	16 Οστις πιστευση και βαπτισθη θελει σωθη, οστις ομως απιστηση θελει κατακριθη.
17 These are the signs that will be associated with believers: in my name they wil cast out devils; theywil have the gift of tongues;	17 Σημεια δε εις τους πιστευσαντας θελουσι παρακολουθει ταυτα, Εν τω ονοματι μου θελουσιν εκβαλλει δαιμονια? θελουσι λαλει νεας γλωσσας?
18 they wil pick up snakes in their hands and be unharmed should they drink deadly poison; they wil laytheir hands on the sick, who wil recover.'	18 οφεις θελουσι πιανει? και εαν θανασιμον τι πιωσι, δεν θελει βλαψει αυτους? επι αρρωστους θελουσιν επιθεσει τας χειρας, και θελουσιν ιατρευεσθαι.
19 And so the Lord Jesus, after he had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven; there at the righthand of God he took his place,	19 Ο μεν λοιπον Κυριος, αφου ελαλησεν προς αυτους, ανεληφθη εις τον ουρανον και εκαθισεν εκ δεξιων του Θεου.
20 while they, going out, preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word bythe signs that accompanied it.	20 Εκεινοι δε εξελθοντες εκηρυξαν πανταχου, συνεργουντος του Κυριου και βεβαιουντος το κηρυγμα δια των επακολουθουντων θαυματων. Αμην.
