Matthew 20

NEW JERUSALEM	SMITH VAN DYKE
1 'Now the kingdom of Heaven is like a landowner going out at daybreak to hire workers for his vineyard.	1 فان ملكوت السموات يشبه رجلا رب بيت خرج مع الصبح ليستأجر فعلة لكرمه.
2 He made an agreement with the workers for one denarius a day and sent them to his vineyard.	2 فأتفق مع الفعلة على دينار في اليوم وارسلهم الى كرمه.
3 Going out at about the third hour he saw others standing idle in the market place	3 ثم خرج نحو الساعة الثالثة ورأى آخرين قياما في السوق بطالين.
4 and said to them, "You go to my vineyard too and I wil give you a fair wage."	4 فقال لهم اذهبوا انتم ايضا الى الكرم فاعطيكم ما يحق لكم. فمضوا.
5 So they went. At about the sixth hour and again at about the ninth hour, he went out and did the same.	5 وخرج ايضا نحو الساعة السادسة والتاسعة وفعل كذلك.
6 Then at about the eleventh hour he went out and found more men standing around, and he said tothem, "Why have you been standing here idle all day?"	6 ثم نحو الساعة الحادية عشرة خرج ووجد آخرين قياما بطالين. فقال لهم لماذا وقفتم هنا كل النهار بطالين.
7 "Because no one has hired us," they answered. He said to them, "You go into my vineyard too."	7 قالوا له لانه لم يستأجرنا احد. قال لهم اذهبوا انتم ايضا الى الكرم فتأخذوا ما يحق لكم.
8 In the evening, the owner of the vineyard said to his bailiff, "Call the workers and pay them theirwages, starting with the last arrivals and ending with the first."	8 فلما كان المساء قال صاحب الكرم لوكيله. ادع الفعلة واعطهم الاجرة مبتدئا من الاخرين الى الاولين.
9 So those who were hired at about the eleventh hour came forward and received one denarius each.	9 فجاء اصحاب الساعة الحادية عشرة واخذوا دينارا دينارا.
10 When the first came, they expected to get more, but they too received one denarius each.	10 فلما جاء الاولون ظنوا انهم يأخذون اكثر. فاخذوا هم ايضا دينارا دينارا
11 They took it, but grumbled at the landowner saying,	11 وفيما هم ياخذون تذمروا على رب البيت
12 "The men who came last have done only one hour, and you have treated them the same as us,though we have done a heavy day's work in al the heat."	12 قائلين. هؤلاء الآخرون عملوا ساعة واحدة وقد ساويتهم بنا نحن الذين احتملنا ثقل النهار والحر.
13 He answered one of them and said, "My friend, I am not being unjust to you; did we not agree on onedenarius?	13 فاجاب وقال لواحد منهم. يا صاحب ما ظلمتك. أما اتفقت معي على دينار.
14 Take your earnings and go. I choose to pay the lastcomer as much as I pay you.	14 فخذ الذي لك واذهب. فاني اريد ان اعطي هذا الاخير مثلك.
15 Have I no right to do what I like with my own? Why should you be envious because I am generous?"	15 او ما يحل لي ان افعل ما اريد بما لي. أم عينك شريرة لاني انا صالح.
16 Thus the last wil be first, and the first, last.'	16 هكذا يكون الآخرون اولين والاولون آخرين. لان كثيرين يدعون وقليلين ينتخبون
17 Jesus was going up to Jerusalem, and on the road he took the Twelve aside by themselves and saidto them,	17 وفيما كان يسوع صاعدا الى اورشليم اخذ الاثني عشر تلميذا على انفراد في الطريق وقال لهم.
18 'Look, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of man is about to be handed over to the chiefpriests and scribes. They wil condemn him to death	18 ها نحن صاعدون الى اورشليم وابن الانسان يسلم الى رؤساء الكهنة والكتبة فيحكمون عليه بالموت.
19 and will hand him over to the gentiles to be mocked and scourged and crucified; and on the third dayhe wil be raised up again.'	19 ويسلمونه الى الامم لكي يهزأوا به ويجلدوه ويصلبوه. وفي اليوم الثالث يقوم
20 Then the mother of Zebedee's sons came with her sons to make a request of him, and bowed low;	20 حينئذ تقدمت اليه ام ابني زبدي مع ابنيها وسجدت وطلبت منه شيئا.
21 and he said to her, 'What is it you want?' She said to him, 'Promise that these two sons of mine maysit one at your right hand and the other at your left in your kingdom.'	21 فقال لها ماذا تريدين. قالت له قل ان يجلس ابناي هذان واحد عن يمينك والآخر عن اليسار في ملكوتك.
22 Jesus answered, 'You do not know what you are asking. Can you drink the cup that I am going todrink?' They replied, 'We can.'	22 فاجاب يسوع وقال لستما تعلمان ما تطلبان. أتستطيعان ان تشربا الكاس التي سوف اشربها انا وان تصطبغا بالصبغة التي اصطبغ بها انا. قالا له نستطيع.
23 He said to them, 'Very wel ; you shal drink my cup, but as for seats at my right hand and my left,these are not mine to grant; they belong to those to whom they have been al otted by my Father.'	23 فقال لهما اما كاسي فتشربانها وبالصبغة التي اصطبغ بها انا تصطبغان واما الجلوس عن يميني وعن يساري فليس لي ان اعطيه الا للذين اعدّ لهم من ابي.
24 When the other ten heard this they were indignant with the two brothers.	24 فلما سمع العشرة اغتاظوا من اجل الاخوين.
25 But Jesus cal ed them to him and said, 'You know that among the gentiles the rulers lord it over them,and great men make their authority felt.	25 فدعاهم يسوع وقال انتم تعلمون ان رؤساء الامم يسودونهم والعظماء يتسلطون عليهم.
26 Among you this is not to happen. No; anyone who wants to become great among you must be yourservant,	26 فلا يكون هكذا فيكم. بل من اراد ان يكون فيكم عظيما فليكن لكم خادما.
27 and anyone who wants to be first among you must be your slave,	27 ومن اراد ان يكون فيكم اولا فليكن لكم عبدا.
28 just as the Son of man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.'	28 كما ان ابن الانسان لم يأت ليخدم بل ليخدم وليبذل نفسه فدية عن كثيرين
29 As they left Jericho a large crowd fol owed him.	29 وفيما هم خارجون من اريحا تبعه جمع كثير.
30 And now there were two blind men sitting at the side of the road. When they heard that it was Jesuswho was passing by, they shouted, 'Lord! Have pity on us, son of David.'	30 واذا اعميان جالسان على الطريق. فلما سمعا ان يسوع مجتاز صرخا قائلين ارحمنا يا سيد يا ابن داود.
31 And the crowd scolded them and told them to keep quiet, but they only shouted the louder, 'Lord!Have pity on us, son of David.'	31 فانتهرهما الجمع ليسكتا فكانا يصرخان اكثر قائلين ارحمنا يا سيد يا ابن داود.
32 Jesus stopped, cal ed them over and said, 'What do you want me to do for you?'	32 فوقف يسوع وناداهما وقال ماذا تريدان ان افعل بكما.
33 They said to him, 'Lord, let us have our sight back.'	33 قالا له يا سيد ان تنفتح اعيننا.
34 Jesus felt pity for them and touched their eyes, and at once their sight returned and they fol owedhim.	34 فتحنن يسوع ولمس اعينهما فللوقت ابصرت اعينهما فتبعاه
