Leviticus 14

NEW JERUSALEM	LA SACRA BIBBIA
1 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said:	1 Il Signore disse poi a Mosè:
2 'This is the law to be applied on the day of the purification of someone who has suffered from acontagious skin-disease. Such a person wil be taken to the priest,	2 "Questo è il rituale per il lebbroso nel giorno della sua purificazione: lo si conduca dal sacerdote
3 and the priest wil go outside the camp. If he finds on examination that the person has recovered fromthe disease,	3 e il sacerdote esca fuori dal campo e osservi: se la piaga di lebbra è guarita nel lebbroso,
4 he wil order the fol owing to be brought for his purification: two live birds that are clean, some cedar wood, scarlet material and hyssop.	4 il sacerdote ordini che si prendano per l'uomo da purificare due uccelli vivi e puri, legno di cedro, del colore scarlatto e issopo.
5 He will then order one of the birds to be slaughtered in an earthenware pot over running water.	5 Il sacerdote ordini che uno degli uccelli sia immolato su un vaso d'argilla con acqua corrente;
6 He will then take the live bird, the cedar wood, the scarlet material and the hyssop and dip all this(including the live bird) into the blood of the bird slaughtered over running water.	6 prenda l'uccello vivo, il legno di cedro, il colore scarlatto e l'issopo e l'immerga, con l'uccello vivo, nel sangue dell'uccello immolato sull'acqua corrente.
7 He will then sprinkle the person to be purified of the skin-disease seven times, and having declared theperson clean, wil set the live bird free to fly off into the countryside.	7 Faccia per sette volte l'aspersione su colui che deve essere purificato dalla lebbra e lo dichiari puro; poi lasci libero nella campagna l'uccello vivo.
8 The person who is being purified will then wash al clothing, shave off al hair, and wash, and wil thenbe clean. After this he will return to the camp, although he wil remain outside his tent for seven days.	8 Colui che si deve purificare lavi le sue vesti, tagli tutto il suo pelo e si lavi nell'acqua e sarà puro; dopo di ciò rientrerà nel campo, restando per sette giorni fuori della sua tenda.
9 On the seventh day he wil shave off all his hair-head, beard and eyebrows; he wil shave off al hishair. After washing his clothing and his body he wil be clean.	9 Il settimo giorno tagli il pelo della sua testa, del mento e delle sopracciglia, tutto il suo pelo, si lavi nell'acqua corrente e sarà puro.
10 'On the eighth day he wil take two unblemished lambs, an unblemished ewe one year old, three-tenths of wheaten flour mixed with oil for the cereal offering, and one log of oil.	10 L'ottavo giorno prenda due agnelli senza difetti e un'agnella di un anno senza difetti; tre decimi di efa di fior di farina intrisa d'olio, come oblazione, e un log d'olio.
11 The priest who is performing the purification will place the person who is being purified, with all hisofferings, at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting, before Yahweh.	11 Il sacerdote che compie la purificazione faccia mettere l'uomo che deve essere purificato e tutto ciò alla presenza del Signore, all'ingresso della tenda del convegno.
12 He wil then take one of the lambs and offer it as a sacrifice of reparation, as also the log of oil. Withthese he wil make the gesture of offering before Yahweh.	12 Il sacerdote prenda uno degli agnelli e il log d'olio, li offra come sacrificio di riparazione e faccia con essi il gesto della presentazione alla presenza del Signore.
13 He wil then slaughter the lamb on that spot inside the holy place where the victims for the sacrificefor sin and for the burnt offering are slaughtered. This reparatory offering, like the sacrifice for sin, wil revert tothe priest: it is especially holy.	13 Immoli l'agnello nel luogo in cui immola il sacrificio espiatorio e l'olocausto, in luogo sacro, perché, come il sacrificio espiatorio, il sacrificio di riparazione appartiene al sacerdote: sono sacrosanti.
14 The priest wil then take some blood of this sacrifice and put it on the lobe of the right ear, the thumbof the right hand, and the big toe of the right foot of the person who is being purified.	14 Il sacerdote prenda un po' del sangue del sacrificio di riparazione e lo metta sul lobo dell'orecchio destro di colui che deve essere purificato, sul pollice della sua mano destra e sull'alluce del piede destro.
15 He wil then take the log of oil and pour a little into the hol ow of his left hand.	15 Il sacerdote prenda un po' del log di olio e lo versi nel cavo della sua mano sinistra;
16 He wil dip a finger of his right hand into the oil in the hollow of his left hand, and sprinkle the oil withhis finger seven times before Yahweh.	16 intinga il dito della mano destra nell'olio che sta nel cavo della sua mano sinistra e con il dito asperga un po' dell'olio per sette volte alla presenza del Signore.
17 He wil then take some of the oil left in the hollow of his hand and put it on the lobe of the right ear,the thumb of the right hand, and the big toe of the right foot of the person being purified, in addition to the bloodof the sacrifice of reparation.	17 Quanto resta dell'olio che sta nel cavo della sua mano il sacerdote lo metterà sul lobo dell'orecchio destro di colui che deve essere purificato, sul pollice della sua mano destra e sull'alluce del suo piede destro, oltre il sangue del sacrificio di riparazione.
18 The rest of the oil in the hol ow of his hand he will put on the head of the person who is being purified.This is how the priest wil perform the rite of expiation for such a person before Yahweh.	18 Quanto gli resta dell'olio che sta nel cavo della mano lo metterà sulla testa di colui che deve essere purificato. Il sacerdote avrà così compiuto per lui il rito espiatorio alla presenza del Signore.
19 'The priest wil then offer the sacrifice for sin, and perform the rite of expiation for uncleanness for theperson who is being purified. After this, he wil slaughter the burnt offering	19 Il sacerdote farà il sacrificio espiatorio e compirà l'espiazione per colui che deve essere purificato dalla sua impurità. Dopo di ciò immolerà l'olocausto:
20 and offer this and the cereal offering on the altar. So, when the priest has performed the rite ofexpiation for him the person wil be clean.	20 il sacerdote offrirà l'olocausto e l'oblazione all'altare; compirà il rito espiatorio e il malato sarà puro.
21 'If he is poor and cannot afford al this, he need take only one lamb, the one for the sacrifice ofreparation, and this will be presented with the gesture of offering to perform the rite of expiation for him. And forthe cereal offering he wil only take one-tenth of wheaten flour mixed with oil, and the log of oil,	21 Se il malato è povero e non ha mezzi sufficienti, prenda un agnello come sacrificio di riparazione per fare il gesto della presentazione e compiere sul malato il rito espiatorio, un decimo di efa di fior di farina intrisa nell'olio come oblazione, un log di olio
22 and two turtledoves or two young pigeons, whichever he can afford, one for a sacrifice for sin and theother for the burnt offering.	22 e due tortore o due colombi, secondo i suoi mezzi, uno sia destinato al sacrificio di riparazione e l'altro all'olocausto.
23 He wil bring these on the eighth day to the priest at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting beforeYahweh, for his purification.	23 L'ottavo giorno li porti per la sua purificazione al sacerdote, all'ingresso della tenda del convegno, alla presenza del Signore.
24 The priest wil take the lamb for the sacrifice of reparation and the log of oil, and present them beforeYahweh with the gesture of offering.	24 Il sacerdote prenda l'agnello del sacrificio di riparazione e il log di olio e compia con essi il gesto della presentazione alla presenza del Signore.
25 He wil then slaughter the lamb for the sacrifice of reparation, take some of its blood and put it on thelobe of the right ear, the thumb of the right hand and the big toe of the right foot of the person who is beingpurified.	25 Immoli l'agnello del sacrificio di riparazione e prenda un po' del sangue del sacrificio di riparazione e lo metta sul lobo dell'orecchio destro di colui che deve essere purificato, sul pollice della sua mano destra e sull'alluce del suo piede destro.
26 He wil pour the oil into the hol ow of his left hand,	26 Il sacerdote versi un po' d'olio nel cavo della sua mano sinistra
27 and with his finger sprinkle the oil in the hol ow of his left hand seven times before Yahweh.	27 e con il dito della sua mano destra asperga un po' dell'olio, che sta nel cavo della mano sinistra, sette volte alla presenza del Signore.
28 He wil then put some of the oil on the lobe of the right ear, the thumb of the right hand and the bigtoe of the right foot of the person who is being purified, as he did with the blood of the sacrifice of reparation.	28 Il sacerdote metta un po' dell'olio che sta nel cavo della sua mano sul lobo dell'orecchio destro di colui che deve essere purificato, sul pollice della sua mano destra e sull'alluce del suo piede destro, nel punto in cui ha messo il sangue del sacrificio di riparazione.
29 The remainder of the oil in the hol ow of his hand he wil put on the head of the person who is beingpurified, thus performing the rite of expiation for him before Yahweh.	29 Quanto gli resta dell'olio nel cavo della mano, lo metta sulla testa di colui che deve essere purificato, per compiere per lui il rito espiatorio alla presenza del Signore.
30 Of the two turtledoves or two young pigeons -- whatever he has been able to afford -- he wil offer	30 Con una delle tortore e con uno dei colombi che ha potuto procurarsi
31 a sacrifice for sin with one, and with the other a burnt offering with a cereal offering -- whatever hehas been able to afford. This is how the priest will perform before Yahweh the rite of expiation for the person whois being purified.	31 farà il sacrificio espiatorio e con l'altro l'olocausto, unito all'oblazione. Il sacerdote avrà compiuto così il rito espiatorio per colui che deve essere purificato".
32 'Such is the law concerning someone with a contagious skin-disease who cannot afford the means ofpurification.'	32 Questo è il rituale per colui che è affetto da piaga di lebbra e che non ha mezzi per la sua purificazione.
33 Yahweh spoke to Moses and Aaron and said:	33 Il Signore disse a Mosè e ad Aronne:
34 'When you reach Canaan, which I am giving you as your possession, if I infect a house with adisease in the country which you are to possess,	34 "Quando arriverete nella terra di Canaan che io vi do in possesso, se io colpirò con una piaga di lebbra una casa della terra che voi possedete,
35 the owner wil come and inform the priest and say, "I have seen something like a skin-disease in thehouse."	35 il proprietario della casa vada e informi il sacerdote dicendo: "Una specie di piaga è apparsa nella mia casa".
36 The priest wil order the house to be emptied before he goes to examine the infection, or everything inthe house wil become unclean; after which, the priest wil go inside and examine the house;	36 Il sacerdote dia disposizione perché vuotino la casa prima che egli venga a esaminare la macchia, perché non diventi impuro nulla di ciò che c'è in casa; dopo di ciò il sacerdote entri a esaminare la casa.
37 and if on examination he finds the wal s of the house pitted with reddish or greenish depressionswhich appear to be eating away the wall,	37 Esamini la macchia; se la macchia sulle pareti della casa ha l'aspetto di cavità verdastre o biancastre che formano un incavo nella parete,
38 the priest wil then go out of the house, to the door, and shut it up for seven days.	38 il sacerdote esca dalla casa verso l'ingresso e la faccia chiudere per sette giorni.
39 On the seventh day, the priest will come back and if on examination he finds that the infection hasspread over the walls of the house,	39 Il settimo giorno il sacerdote torni ed esamini; se la macchia si è diffusa sulle pareti della casa,
40 he wil order the infected stones to be removed and thrown into some unclean place outside the town.	40 il sacerdote ordini che si tolgano le pietre su cui si trova la macchia e che le gettino fuori della città in un luogo impuro;
41 He wil then have all the inside of the house scraped, and the plaster that comes off will be emptied inan unclean place outside the town.	41 poi farà raschiare la casa tutt'intorno e getteranno la polvere che hanno raschiato fuori della città in un luogo impuro.
42 The stones wil then be replaced with new ones and the house given a new coat of plaster.	42 Prenderanno altre pietre e le metteranno al posto delle prime e prenderanno altro intonaco per intonacare la casa.
43 'If the infection spreads again after the stones have been removed and the house scraped andreplastered,	43 Se la macchia torna e si diffonde nella casa dopo che sono state tolte le pietre e dopo che la casa è stata raschiata e reintonacata,
44 the priest wil come and examine it. If he finds that the infection has spread, this means that there is acontagious disease in the house: it is unclean.	44 venga il sacerdote ed esamini; se la piaga si è diffusa nella casa, è lebbra pericolosa nella casa; è impura.
45 It must be pul ed down and the stones, woodwork and al the plaster be taken to an unclean placeoutside the town.	45 La casa venga demolita; le pietre, il legname e l'intonaco della casa siano portati fuori della città in un luogo impuro.
46 'Anyone who enters the house while it is closed wil be unclean until evening.	46 Chiunque entri nella casa durante i giorni in cui è chiusa, diventa impuro fino alla sera;
47 Anyone who sleeps there wil wash his clothes. Anyone who eats there will wash his clothes.	47 chi dorme nella casa, lavi le sue vesti; chi mangia nella casa, lavi le sue vesti.
48 But if the priest finds, when he comes to examine the infection, that it has not spread in the housesince it was plastered, he wil declare the house clean, for the infection is cured.	48 Se il sacerdote viene ed esamina, e la macchia non si è diffusa nella casa dopo che è stata reintonacata, il sacerdote dichiari la casa pura, perché la macchia è guarita.
49 'As a sacrifice for the defilement of the house, he wil take two birds, some cedar wood, scarletmaterial and hyssop.	49 Per compiere il sacrificio espiatorio per la casa si prendano due uccelli, legno di cedro, rosso scarlatto e issopo;
50 He wil slaughter one of the birds in an earthenware pot over running water.	50 si immoli uno degli uccelli su un vaso di argilla con acqua corrente;
51 He wil then take the cedar wood, the hyssop, the scarlet material and the live bird, dip them into theblood of the slaughtered bird and into the running water and sprinkle the house seven times;	51 si prenda il legno di cedro e l'issopo e il rosso scarlatto e l'uccello vivo e lo si immerga nel sangue dell'uccello immolato in acqua corrente e si faccia sette volte l'aspersione della casa.
52 and after offering the sacrifice for the defilement of the house with the blood of the bird, the runningwater, the live bird, the cedar wood, the hyssop and the scarlet material,	52 Si purifica così la casa con il sangue dell'uccello, con l'acqua corrente, con l'uccello vivo, con il legno di cedro, con l'issopo e con il rosso scarlatto.
53 he wil set the live bird free to fly out of the town into the countryside. Once the rite of expiation hasbeen performed for the house in this way it wil be clean.	53 Allora si lasci libero l'uccello vivo fuori della città, in campagna. Avrà compiuto così il sacrificio espiatorio per la casa, ed essa è pura".
54 'Such is the law governing all kinds of skin-disease and tinea,	54 Questo è il rituale per ogni macchia di lebbra e di tigna,
55 diseases of clothing and houses,	55 per ogni caso di lebbra delle vesti e delle case,
56 swel ings, scabs and spots. It defines the occasions when things are unclean and when clean.	56 per gonfiori e infezioni e macchie biancastre;
57 Such is the law on skin-diseases.'	57 esso indica i tempi dell'impurità e i tempi della purità. Questo è il rituale per la lebbra.
