Leviticus 14

NEW JERUSALEM	LXX
1 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said:	1 και ελαλησεν κυριος προς μωυσην λεγων
2 'This is the law to be applied on the day of the purification of someone who has suffered from acontagious skin-disease. Such a person wil be taken to the priest,	2 ουτος ο νομος του λεπρου η αν ημερα καθαρισθη και προσαχθησεται προς τον ιερεα
3 and the priest wil go outside the camp. If he finds on examination that the person has recovered fromthe disease,	3 και εξελευσεται ο ιερευς εξω της παρεμβολης και οψεται ο ιερευς και ιδου ιαται η αφη της λεπρας απο του λεπρου
4 he wil order the fol owing to be brought for his purification: two live birds that are clean, some cedar wood, scarlet material and hyssop.	4 και προσταξει ο ιερευς και λημψονται τω κεκαθαρισμενω δυο ορνιθια ζωντα καθαρα και ξυλον κεδρινον και κεκλωσμενον κοκκινον και υσσωπον
5 He will then order one of the birds to be slaughtered in an earthenware pot over running water.	5 και προσταξει ο ιερευς και σφαξουσιν το ορνιθιον το εν εις αγγειον οστρακινον εφ' υδατι ζωντι
6 He will then take the live bird, the cedar wood, the scarlet material and the hyssop and dip all this(including the live bird) into the blood of the bird slaughtered over running water.	6 και το ορνιθιον το ζων λημψεται αυτο και το ξυλον το κεδρινον και το κλωστον κοκκινον και τον υσσωπον και βαψει αυτα και το ορνιθιον το ζων εις το αιμα του ορνιθιου του σφαγεντος εφ' υδατι ζωντι
7 He will then sprinkle the person to be purified of the skin-disease seven times, and having declared theperson clean, wil set the live bird free to fly off into the countryside.	7 και περιρρανει επι τον καθαρισθεντα απο της λεπρας επτακις και καθαρος εσται και εξαποστελει το ορνιθιον το ζων εις το πεδιον
8 The person who is being purified will then wash al clothing, shave off al hair, and wash, and wil thenbe clean. After this he will return to the camp, although he wil remain outside his tent for seven days.	8 και πλυνει ο καθαρισθεις τα ιματια αυτου και ξυρηθησεται αυτου πασαν την τριχα και λουσεται εν υδατι και καθαρος εσται και μετα ταυτα εισελευσεται εις την παρεμβολην και διατριψει εξω του οικου αυτου επτα ημερας
9 On the seventh day he wil shave off all his hair-head, beard and eyebrows; he wil shave off al hishair. After washing his clothing and his body he wil be clean.	9 και εσται τη ημερα τη εβδομη ξυρηθησεται πασαν την τριχα αυτου την κεφαλην αυτου και τον πωγωνα και τας οφρυας και πασαν την τριχα αυτου ξυρηθησεται και πλυνει τα ιματια και λουσεται το σωμα αυτου υδατι και καθαρος εσται
10 'On the eighth day he wil take two unblemished lambs, an unblemished ewe one year old, three-tenths of wheaten flour mixed with oil for the cereal offering, and one log of oil.	10 και τη ημερα τη ογδοη λημψεται δυο αμνους ενιαυσιους αμωμους και προβατον ενιαυσιον αμωμον και τρια δεκατα σεμιδαλεως εις θυσιαν πεφυραμενης εν ελαιω και κοτυλην ελαιου μιαν
11 The priest who is performing the purification will place the person who is being purified, with all hisofferings, at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting, before Yahweh.	11 και στησει ο ιερευς ο καθαριζων τον ανθρωπον τον καθαριζομενον και ταυτα εναντι κυριου επι την θυραν της σκηνης του μαρτυριου
12 He wil then take one of the lambs and offer it as a sacrifice of reparation, as also the log of oil. Withthese he wil make the gesture of offering before Yahweh.	12 και λημψεται ο ιερευς τον αμνον τον ενα και προσαξει αυτον της πλημμελειας και την κοτυλην του ελαιου και αφοριει αυτο αφορισμα εναντι κυριου
13 He wil then slaughter the lamb on that spot inside the holy place where the victims for the sacrificefor sin and for the burnt offering are slaughtered. This reparatory offering, like the sacrifice for sin, wil revert tothe priest: it is especially holy.	13 και σφαξουσιν τον αμνον εν τοπω ου σφαζουσιν τα ολοκαυτωματα και τα περι αμαρτιας εν τοπω αγιω εστιν γαρ το περι αμαρτιας ωσπερ το της πλημμελειας εστιν τω ιερει αγια αγιων εστιν
14 The priest wil then take some blood of this sacrifice and put it on the lobe of the right ear, the thumbof the right hand, and the big toe of the right foot of the person who is being purified.	14 και λημψεται ο ιερευς απο του αιματος του της πλημμελειας και επιθησει ο ιερευς επι τον λοβον του ωτος του καθαριζομενου του δεξιου και επι το ακρον της χειρος της δεξιας και επι το ακρον του ποδος του δεξιου
15 He wil then take the log of oil and pour a little into the hol ow of his left hand.	15 και λαβων ο ιερευς απο της κοτυλης του ελαιου επιχεει επι την χειρα του ιερεως την αριστεραν
16 He wil dip a finger of his right hand into the oil in the hollow of his left hand, and sprinkle the oil withhis finger seven times before Yahweh.	16 και βαψει τον δακτυλον τον δεξιον απο του ελαιου του οντος επι της χειρος της αριστερας και ρανει επτακις τω δακτυλω εναντι κυριου
17 He wil then take some of the oil left in the hollow of his hand and put it on the lobe of the right ear,the thumb of the right hand, and the big toe of the right foot of the person being purified, in addition to the bloodof the sacrifice of reparation.	17 το δε καταλειφθεν ελαιον το ον εν τη χειρι επιθησει ο ιερευς επι τον λοβον του ωτος του καθαριζομενου του δεξιου και επι το ακρον της χειρος της δεξιας και επι το ακρον του ποδος του δεξιου επι τον τοπον του αιματος του της πλημμελειας
18 The rest of the oil in the hol ow of his hand he will put on the head of the person who is being purified.This is how the priest wil perform the rite of expiation for such a person before Yahweh.	18 το δε καταλειφθεν ελαιον το επι της χειρος του ιερεως επιθησει ο ιερευς επι την κεφαλην του καθαρισθεντος και εξιλασεται περι αυτου ο ιερευς εναντι κυριου
19 'The priest wil then offer the sacrifice for sin, and perform the rite of expiation for uncleanness for theperson who is being purified. After this, he wil slaughter the burnt offering	19 και ποιησει ο ιερευς το περι της αμαρτιας και εξιλασεται ο ιερευς περι του ακαθαρτου του καθαριζομενου απο της αμαρτιας αυτου και μετα τουτο σφαξει ο ιερευς το ολοκαυτωμα
20 and offer this and the cereal offering on the altar. So, when the priest has performed the rite ofexpiation for him the person wil be clean.	20 και ανοισει ο ιερευς το ολοκαυτωμα και την θυσιαν επι το θυσιαστηριον εναντι κυριου και εξιλασεται περι αυτου ο ιερευς και καθαρισθησεται
21 'If he is poor and cannot afford al this, he need take only one lamb, the one for the sacrifice ofreparation, and this will be presented with the gesture of offering to perform the rite of expiation for him. And forthe cereal offering he wil only take one-tenth of wheaten flour mixed with oil, and the log of oil,	21 εαν δε πενηται και η χειρ αυτου μη ευρισκη λημψεται αμνον ενα εις ο επλημμελησεν εις αφαιρεμα ωστε εξιλασασθαι περι αυτου και δεκατον σεμιδαλεως πεφυραμενης εν ελαιω εις θυσιαν και κοτυλην ελαιου μιαν
22 and two turtledoves or two young pigeons, whichever he can afford, one for a sacrifice for sin and theother for the burnt offering.	22 και δυο τρυγονας η δυο νεοσσους περιστερων οσα ευρεν η χειρ αυτου και εσται η μια περι αμαρτιας και η μια εις ολοκαυτωμα
23 He wil bring these on the eighth day to the priest at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting beforeYahweh, for his purification.	23 και προσοισει αυτα τη ημερα τη ογδοη εις το καθαρισαι αυτον προς τον ιερεα επι την θυραν της σκηνης του μαρτυριου εναντι κυριου
24 The priest wil take the lamb for the sacrifice of reparation and the log of oil, and present them beforeYahweh with the gesture of offering.	24 και λαβων ο ιερευς τον αμνον της πλημμελειας και την κοτυλην του ελαιου επιθησει αυτα επιθεμα εναντι κυριου
25 He wil then slaughter the lamb for the sacrifice of reparation, take some of its blood and put it on thelobe of the right ear, the thumb of the right hand and the big toe of the right foot of the person who is beingpurified.	25 και σφαξει τον αμνον της πλημμελειας και λημψεται ο ιερευς απο του αιματος του της πλημμελειας και επιθησει επι τον λοβον του ωτος του καθαριζομενου του δεξιου και επι το ακρον της χειρος της δεξιας και επι το ακρον του ποδος του δεξιου
26 He wil pour the oil into the hol ow of his left hand,	26 και απο του ελαιου επιχεει ο ιερευς επι την χειρα του ιερεως την αριστεραν
27 and with his finger sprinkle the oil in the hol ow of his left hand seven times before Yahweh.	27 και ρανει ο ιερευς τω δακτυλω τω δεξιω απο του ελαιου του εν τη χειρι αυτου τη αριστερα επτακις εναντι κυριου
28 He wil then put some of the oil on the lobe of the right ear, the thumb of the right hand and the bigtoe of the right foot of the person who is being purified, as he did with the blood of the sacrifice of reparation.	28 και επιθησει ο ιερευς απο του ελαιου του επι της χειρος αυτου επι τον λοβον του ωτος του καθαριζομενου του δεξιου και επι το ακρον της χειρος αυτου της δεξιας και επι το ακρον του ποδος αυτου του δεξιου επι τον τοπον του αιματος του της πλημμελειας
29 The remainder of the oil in the hol ow of his hand he wil put on the head of the person who is beingpurified, thus performing the rite of expiation for him before Yahweh.	29 το δε καταλειφθεν απο του ελαιου το ον επι της χειρος του ιερεως επιθησει επι την κεφαλην του καθαρισθεντος και εξιλασεται περι αυτου ο ιερευς εναντι κυριου
30 Of the two turtledoves or two young pigeons -- whatever he has been able to afford -- he wil offer	30 και ποιησει μιαν των τρυγονων η απο των νεοσσων των περιστερων καθοτι ευρεν αυτου η χειρ
31 a sacrifice for sin with one, and with the other a burnt offering with a cereal offering -- whatever hehas been able to afford. This is how the priest will perform before Yahweh the rite of expiation for the person whois being purified.	31 την μιαν περι αμαρτιας και την μιαν εις ολοκαυτωμα συν τη θυσια και εξιλασεται ο ιερευς περι του καθαριζομενου εναντι κυριου
32 'Such is the law concerning someone with a contagious skin-disease who cannot afford the means ofpurification.'	32 ουτος ο νομος εν ω εστιν η αφη της λεπρας και του μη ευρισκοντος τη χειρι εις τον καθαρισμον αυτου
33 Yahweh spoke to Moses and Aaron and said:	33 και ελαλησεν κυριος προς μωυσην και ααρων λεγων
34 'When you reach Canaan, which I am giving you as your possession, if I infect a house with adisease in the country which you are to possess,	34 ως αν εισελθητε εις την γην των χαναναιων ην εγω διδωμι υμιν εν κτησει και δωσω αφην λεπρας εν ταις οικιαις της γης της εγκτητου υμιν
35 the owner wil come and inform the priest and say, "I have seen something like a skin-disease in thehouse."	35 και ηξει τινος αυτου η οικια και αναγγελει τω ιερει λεγων ωσπερ αφη εωραται μου εν τη οικια
36 The priest wil order the house to be emptied before he goes to examine the infection, or everything inthe house wil become unclean; after which, the priest wil go inside and examine the house;	36 και προσταξει ο ιερευς αποσκευασαι την οικιαν προ του εισελθοντα ιδειν τον ιερεα την αφην και ου μη ακαθαρτα γενηται οσα εαν η εν τη οικια και μετα ταυτα εισελευσεται ο ιερευς καταμαθειν την οικιαν
37 and if on examination he finds the wal s of the house pitted with reddish or greenish depressionswhich appear to be eating away the wall,	37 και οψεται την αφην εν τοις τοιχοις της οικιας κοιλαδας χλωριζουσας η πυρριζουσας και η οψις αυτων ταπεινοτερα των τοιχων
38 the priest wil then go out of the house, to the door, and shut it up for seven days.	38 και εξελθων ο ιερευς εκ της οικιας επι την θυραν της οικιας και αφοριει ο ιερευς την οικιαν επτα ημερας
39 On the seventh day, the priest will come back and if on examination he finds that the infection hasspread over the walls of the house,	39 και επανηξει ο ιερευς τη ημερα τη εβδομη και οψεται την οικιαν και ιδου ου διεχυθη η αφη εν τοις τοιχοις της οικιας
40 he wil order the infected stones to be removed and thrown into some unclean place outside the town.	40 και προσταξει ο ιερευς και εξελουσιν τους λιθους εν οις εστιν η αφη και εκβαλουσιν αυτους εξω της πολεως εις τοπον ακαθαρτον
41 He wil then have all the inside of the house scraped, and the plaster that comes off will be emptied inan unclean place outside the town.	41 και αποξυσουσιν την οικιαν εσωθεν κυκλω και εκχεουσιν τον χουν εξω της πολεως εις τοπον ακαθαρτον
42 The stones wil then be replaced with new ones and the house given a new coat of plaster.	42 και λημψονται λιθους απεξυσμενους ετερους και αντιθησουσιν αντι των λιθων και χουν ετερον λημψονται και εξαλειψουσιν την οικιαν
43 'If the infection spreads again after the stones have been removed and the house scraped andreplastered,	43 εαν δε επελθη παλιν αφη και ανατειλη εν τη οικια μετα το εξελειν τους λιθους και μετα το αποξυσθηναι την οικιαν και μετα το εξαλειφθηναι
44 the priest wil come and examine it. If he finds that the infection has spread, this means that there is acontagious disease in the house: it is unclean.	44 και εισελευσεται ο ιερευς και οψεται ει διακεχυται η αφη εν τη οικια λεπρα εμμονος εστιν εν τη οικια ακαθαρτος εστιν
45 It must be pul ed down and the stones, woodwork and al the plaster be taken to an unclean placeoutside the town.	45 και καθελουσιν την οικιαν και τα ξυλα αυτης και τους λιθους αυτης και παντα τον χουν εξοισουσιν εξω της πολεως εις τοπον ακαθαρτον
46 'Anyone who enters the house while it is closed wil be unclean until evening.	46 και ο εισπορευομενος εις την οικιαν πασας τας ημερας ας αφωρισμενη εστιν ακαθαρτος εσται εως εσπερας
47 Anyone who sleeps there wil wash his clothes. Anyone who eats there will wash his clothes.	47 και ο κοιμωμενος εν τη οικια πλυνει τα ιματια αυτου και ακαθαρτος εσται εως εσπερας και ο εσθων εν τη οικια πλυνει τα ιματια αυτου και ακαθαρτος εσται εως εσπερας
48 But if the priest finds, when he comes to examine the infection, that it has not spread in the housesince it was plastered, he wil declare the house clean, for the infection is cured.	48 εαν δε παραγενομενος εισελθη ο ιερευς και ιδη και ιδου διαχυσει ου διαχειται η αφη εν τη οικια μετα το εξαλειφθηναι την οικιαν και καθαριει ο ιερευς την οικιαν οτι ιαθη η αφη
49 'As a sacrifice for the defilement of the house, he wil take two birds, some cedar wood, scarletmaterial and hyssop.	49 και λημψεται αφαγνισαι την οικιαν δυο ορνιθια ζωντα καθαρα και ξυλον κεδρινον και κεκλωσμενον κοκκινον και υσσωπον
50 He wil slaughter one of the birds in an earthenware pot over running water.	50 και σφαξει το ορνιθιον το εν εις σκευος οστρακινον εφ' υδατι ζωντι
51 He wil then take the cedar wood, the hyssop, the scarlet material and the live bird, dip them into theblood of the slaughtered bird and into the running water and sprinkle the house seven times;	51 και λημψεται το ξυλον το κεδρινον και το κεκλωσμενον κοκκινον και τον υσσωπον και το ορνιθιον το ζων και βαψει αυτο εις το αιμα του ορνιθιου του εσφαγμενου εφ' υδατι ζωντι και περιρρανει εν αυτοις επι την οικιαν επτακις
52 and after offering the sacrifice for the defilement of the house with the blood of the bird, the runningwater, the live bird, the cedar wood, the hyssop and the scarlet material,	52 και αφαγνιει την οικιαν εν τω αιματι του ορνιθιου και εν τω υδατι τω ζωντι και εν τω ορνιθιω τω ζωντι και εν τω ξυλω τω κεδρινω και εν τω υσσωπω και εν τω κεκλωσμενω κοκκινω
53 he wil set the live bird free to fly out of the town into the countryside. Once the rite of expiation hasbeen performed for the house in this way it wil be clean.	53 και εξαποστελει το ορνιθιον το ζων εξω της πολεως εις το πεδιον και εξιλασεται περι της οικιας και καθαρα εσται
54 'Such is the law governing all kinds of skin-disease and tinea,	54 ουτος ο νομος κατα πασαν αφην λεπρας και θραυσματος
55 diseases of clothing and houses,	55 και της λεπρας ιματιου και οικιας
56 swel ings, scabs and spots. It defines the occasions when things are unclean and when clean.	56 και ουλης και σημασιας και του αυγαζοντος
57 Such is the law on skin-diseases.'	57 και του εξηγησασθαι η ημερα ακαθαρτον και η ημερα καθαρισθησεται ουτος ο νομος της λεπρας
