1 God of vengeance, Yahweh, God of vengeance, shine forth!	1 אל נקמות יהוה אל נקמות הופיע
2 Arise, judge of the world, give back the proud what they deserve!	2 הנשא שפט הארץ השב גמול על גאים
3 How long are the wicked, Yahweh, how long are the wicked to triumph?	3 עד מתי רשעים יהוה עד מתי רשעים יעלזו
4 They bluster and boast, they flaunt themselves, all the evil-doers.	4 יביעו ידברו עתק יתאמרו כל פעלי און
5 They crush your people, Yahweh, they oppress your heritage,	5 עמך יהוה ידכאו ונחלתך יענו
6 they murder the widow and the stranger, bring the orphan to a violent death.	6 אלמנה וגר יהרגו ויתומים ירצחו
7 They say, 'Yahweh is not looking, the God of Jacob is taking no notice.'	7 ויאמרו לא יראה יה ולא יבין אלהי יעקב
8 Take notice yourselves, you coarsest of people! Fools, when wil you learn some sense?	8 בינו בערים בעם וכסילים מתי תשכילו
9 Shal he who implanted the ear not hear, he who fashioned the eye not see?	9 הנטע אזן הלא ישמע אם יצר עין הלא יביט
10 Shal he who instructs nations not punish? Yahweh, the teacher of al people,	10 היסר גוים הלא יוכיח המלמד אדם דעת
11 knows human plans and how insipid they are.	11 יהוה ידע מחשבות אדם כי המה הבל
12 How blessed are those you instruct, Yahweh, whom you teach by means of your law,	12 אשרי הגבר אשר תיסרנו יה ומתורתך תלמדנו
13 to give them respite in evil times, til a pit is dug for the wicked.	13 להשקיט לו מימי רע עד יכרה לרשע שחת
14 Yahweh will not abandon his people, he wil not desert his heritage;	14 כי לא יטש יהוה עמו ונחלתו לא יעזב
15 for judgement will again become saving justice, and in its wake al upright hearts will fol ow.	15 כי עד צדק ישוב משפט ואחריו כל ישרי לב
16 Who rises up on my side against the wicked? Who stands firm on my side against al evil-doers?	16 מי יקום לי עם מרעים מי יתיצב לי עם פעלי און
17 If Yahweh did not come to my help, I should soon find myself dwel ing in the silence.	17 לולי יהוה עזרתה לי כמעט שכנה דומה נפשי
18 I need only say, 'I am slipping,' for your faithful love, Yahweh, to support me;	18 אם אמרתי מטה רגלי חסדך יהוה יסעדני
19 however great the anxiety of my heart, your consolations soothe me.	19 ברב שרעפי בקרבי תנחומיך ישעשעו נפשי
20 Are you partner to a destructive court, that gives disorder the status of law?	20 היחברך כסא הוות יצר עמל עלי חק
21 They make an attack on the life of the upright, and condemn innocent blood.	21 יגודו על נפש צדיק ודם נקי ירשיעו
22 No! Yahweh is a stronghold to me, my God is my rock of refuge.	22 ויהי יהוה לי למשגב ואלהי לצור מחסי
23 He turns back their guilt on themselves, annihilates them for their wickedness, he annihilates them,Yahweh our God.	23 וישב עליהם את אונם וברעתם יצמיתם יצמיתם יהוה אלהינו
