4 for you have given fair judgement in my favour, seated on your throne as upright judge.	4 Conciossiachè tu mi abbi fatta ragione e diritto; Tu ti sei posto a sedere sopra il trono, come giusto giudice.
5 You have rebuked the nations, destroyed the wicked, blotted out their name for ever and ever;	5 Tu hai sgridate le nazioni, tu hai distrutto l’empio, Tu hai cancellato il loro nome in sempiterno.
6 the enemy is wiped out -- mere ruins for ever -- you have annihilated their cities, their memory hasperished. See,	6 O nemico, le desolazioni sono finite in perpetuo, E tu hai disfatte le città. È pur perita la memoria di esse.
7 Yahweh is enthroned for ever, keeping his throne firm for judgement;	7 Ma il Signore siede in eterno; Egli ha fermato il suo trono per far giudicio.

9 May Yahweh be a stronghold for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble!	9 E il Signore sarà un alto ricetto al misero; Un alto ricetto a’ tempi ch’egli sarà in distretta.
10 Those who revere your name can rely on you, you never desert those who seek you, Yahweh.	10 Laonde, o Signore, quelli che conoscono il Nome tuo si confideranno in te; Perciocchè tu non abbandoni quelli che ti cercano
11 Sing to Yahweh who dwel s in Zion, tel the nations his mighty deeds,	11 Salmeggiate al Signore che abita in Sion; Raccontate fra i popoli i suoi fatti.
12 for the avenger of blood does not forget them, he does not ignore the cry of the afflicted.	12 Perciocchè egli ridomanda ragione del sangue, egli se ne ricorda; Egli non dimentica il grido de’ poveri afflitti.
13 Have pity on me, Yahweh, see my affliction, pull me back from the gates of death,	13 Abbi pietà di me, o Signore, Tu che mi tiri in alto dalle porte della morte, Vedi l’afflizione che io soffero da quelli che m’odiano;
14 that I may recount al your praises at the gates of the daughter of Zion and rejoice in your salvation.	14 Acciocchè io racconti tutte le tue lodi Nelle porte della figliuola di Sion, E festeggi della tua liberazione.

20 Strike them with terror, Yahweh; the nations shall know that they are no more than human!Pause	20 Signore, metti spavento in loro; Fa’ che le genti conoscano, che non sono altro che uomini. Sela
