2 so we shall not be afraid though the earth be in turmoil, though mountains tumble into the depths ofthe sea,	2 Dio è per noi rifugio e fortezza,aiuto infallibile si è mostrato nelle angosce.
3 and its waters roar and seethe, and the mountains totter as it heaves. (Yahweh Sabaoth is with us, ourcitadel, the God of Jacob.)Pause	3 Perciò non temiamo se trema la terra,se vacillano i monti nel fondo del mare.
4 There is a river whose streams bring joy to God's city, it sanctifies the dwel ing of the Most High.	4 Fremano, si gonfino le sue acque,si scuotano i monti per i suoi flutti.
5 God is in the city, it cannot fal ; at break of day God comes to its rescue.	5 Un fiume e i suoi canali rallegrano la città di Dio,la più santa delle dimore dell’Altissimo.
6 Nations are in uproar, kingdoms are tumbling, when he raises his voice the earth crumbles away.	6 Dio è in mezzo ad essa: non potrà vacillare.Dio la soccorre allo spuntare dell’alba.
7 Yahweh Sabaoth is with us, our citadel, the God of Jacob. Pause	7 Fremettero le genti, vacillarono i regni;egli tuonò: si sgretolò la terra.
8 Come, consider the wonders of Yahweh, the astounding deeds he has done on the earth;	8 Il Signore degli eserciti è con noi,nostro baluardo è il Dio di Giacobbe.
9 he puts an end to wars over the whole wide world, he breaks the bow, he snaps the spear, shields heburns in the fire.	9 Venite, vedete le opere del Signore,egli ha fatto cose tremende sulla terra.
10 'Be stil and acknowledge that I am God, supreme over nations, supreme over the world.'	10 Farà cessare le guerre sino ai confini della terra,romperà gli archi e spezzerà le lance,brucerà nel fuoco gli scudi.
11 Yahweh Sabaoth is with us, our citadel, the God of Jacob.Pause	11 Fermatevi! Sappiate che io sono Dio,eccelso tra le genti, eccelso sulla terra.
	12 Il Signore degli eserciti è con noi,nostro baluardo è il Dio di Giacobbe.
