Psalms 2

NEW JERUSALEM	LA SACRA BIBBIA
1 Why this uproar among the nations, this impotent muttering of the peoples?	1 Perché si son mobilitate le genti e i popoli fan vani progetti?
2 Kings of the earth take up position, princes plot together against Yahweh and his anointed,	2 S'accampano i re della terra e i potenti hanno fatto alleanza contro il Signore e il suo consacrato:
3 'Now let us break their fetters! Now let us throw off their bonds!'	3 "Spezziamo le loro catene e il loro giogo gettiamo via da noi!".
4 He who is enthroned in the heavens laughs, Yahweh makes a mockery of them,	4 Colui che siede nei cieli se ne ride, il Signore si fa beffe di loro.
5 then in his anger rebukes them, in his rage he strikes them with terror.	5 Allora parlerà nella sua ira, nel suo sdegno li metterà in scompiglio:
6 'I myself have anointed my king on Zion my holy mountain.'	6 "Ma io ho consacrato il mio re sul Sion, il mio santo monte!".
7 I wil proclaim the decree of Yahweh: He said to me, 'You are my son, today have I fathered you.	7 Proclamerò il decreto che il Signore ha pronunciato: "Mio figlio sei tu, io in questo giorno ti ho generato!
8 Ask of me, and I shal give you the nations as your birthright, the whole wide world as your possession.	8 Solo che tu me lo chieda, porrò le genti qual tua eredità, tua porzione saranno i confini della terra.
9 With an iron sceptre you wil break them, shatter them like so many pots.'	9 Li spezzerai con verga di ferro, come vaso di argilla li frantumerai".
10 So now, you kings, come to your senses, you earthly rulers, learn your lesson!	10 E ora intendete, o re, accogliete l'ammonimento, governatori della terra.
11 In fear be submissive to Yahweh;	11 Servite al Signore in timore e in tremore
12 with trembling kiss his feet, lest he be angry and your way come to nothing, for his fury flares up in amoment. How blessed are al who take refuge in him!	12 baciate i suoi piedi: affinché non s'adiri e voi periate nella via; poiché in un baleno la sua ira divampa. Beati coloro che si rifugiano in lui!
