Psalms 2

NEW JERUSALEM	KÁLDI-NEOVULGÁTA
1 Why this uproar among the nations, this impotent muttering of the peoples?	1 Miért dühöngenek a nemzetek, terveznek hiúságokat a népek?
2 Kings of the earth take up position, princes plot together against Yahweh and his anointed,	2 Fölkelnek a föld királyai, egybegyűlnek mind a fejedelmek az Úr ellen, s az ő Fölkentje ellen:
3 'Now let us break their fetters! Now let us throw off their bonds!'	3 »Szakítsuk széjjel láncukat, igájukat rázzuk le magunkról!«
4 He who is enthroned in the heavens laughs, Yahweh makes a mockery of them,	4 A mennyekben lakó kineveti őket, az Úr kigúnyolja őket.
5 then in his anger rebukes them, in his rage he strikes them with terror.	5 Haragjában így szól majd hozzájuk, bosszúságában szétzavarja őket:
6 'I myself have anointed my king on Zion my holy mountain.'	6 »Fölkentem királyomat a Sionon, az én szent hegyemen!«
7 I wil proclaim the decree of Yahweh: He said to me, 'You are my son, today have I fathered you.	7 Hirdetem az Úr rendeletét. Mert így szólt hozzám az Úr: »Fiam vagy te, a mai napon nemzettelek téged.
8 Ask of me, and I shal give you the nations as your birthright, the whole wide world as your possession.	8 Kérd tőlem, és odaadom neked a nemzeteket örökségedül, s osztályrészedül a föld határait.
9 With an iron sceptre you wil break them, shatter them like so many pots.'	9 Kormányozd őket vasvesszővel, cserépedényként törd össze őket.«
10 So now, you kings, come to your senses, you earthly rulers, learn your lesson!	10 Nos hát, királyok, okuljatok, tanuljatok, ti földi bírák!
11 In fear be submissive to Yahweh;	11 Szolgáljátok az Urat félelemmel, ujjongjatok előtte remegve.
12 with trembling kiss his feet, lest he be angry and your way come to nothing, for his fury flares up in amoment. How blessed are al who take refuge in him!	12 Tanuljatok fegyelmet, hogy fel ne gerjedjen az Úr haragja, s az igaz útról el ne vesszetek, amikor haragja hirtelen fellobban. Boldogok mindazok, akik benne bíznak!
