¹ [For the choirmaster Psalm Of David] The heavens declare the glory of God, the vault of heavenproclaims his handiwork,	¹ 'Al maestro del coro. Salmo. Di Davide.'
² day discourses of it to day, night to night hands on the knowledge.	² I cieli narrano la gloria di Dio, e l'opera delle sue mani annunzia il firmamento.
³ No utterance at al , no speech, not a sound to be heard,	³ Il giorno al giorno ne affida il messaggio e la notte alla notte ne trasmette notizia.
⁴ but from the entire earth the design stands out, this message reaches the whole world. High above, hepitched a tent for the sun,	⁴ Non è linguaggio e non sono parole, di cui non si oda il suono.
⁵ who comes forth from his pavilion like a bridegroom, delights like a champion in the course to be run.	⁵ Per tutta la terra si diffonde la loro voce e ai confini del mondo la loro parola.
⁶ Rising on the one horizon he runs his circuit to the other, and nothing can escape his heat.	⁶ Là pose una tenda per il sole che esce come sposo dalla stanza nuziale, esulta come prode che percorre la via.
⁷ The Law of Yahweh is perfect, refreshment to the soul; the decree of Yahweh is trustworthy, wisdomfor the simple.	⁷ Egli sorge da un estremo del cielo e la sua corsa raggiunge l'altro estremo: nulla si sottrae al suo calore.
⁸ The precepts of Yahweh are honest, joy for the heart; the commandment of Yahweh is pure, light forthe eyes.	⁸ La legge del Signore è perfetta, rinfranca l'anima; la testimonianza del Signore è verace, rende saggio il semplice.
⁹ The fear of Yahweh is pure, lasting for ever; the judgements of Yahweh are true, upright, every one,	⁹ Gli ordini del Signore sono giusti, fanno gioire il cuore; i comandi del Signore sono limpidi, danno luce agli occhi.
¹⁰ more desirable than gold, even than the finest gold; his words are sweeter than honey, that dripsfrom the comb.	¹⁰ Il timore del Signore è puro, dura sempre; i giudizi del Signore sono tutti fedeli e giusti,
¹¹ Thus your servant is formed by them; observing them brings great reward.	¹¹ più preziosi dell'oro, di molto oro fino, più dolci del miele e di un favo stillante.
¹² But who can detect his own failings? Wash away my hidden faults.	¹² Anche il tuo servo in essi è istruito, per chi li osserva è grande il profitto.
¹³ And from pride preserve your servant, never let it be my master. So shal I be above reproach, freefrom grave sin.	¹³ Le inavvertenze chi le discerne? Assolvimi dalle colpe che non vedo.
¹⁴ May the words of my mouth always find favour, and the whispering of my heart, in your presence,Yahweh, my rock, my redeemer.	¹⁴ Anche dall'orgoglio salva il tuo servo perché su di me non abbia potere; allora sarò irreprensibile, sarò puro dal grande peccato.
	¹⁵ Ti siano gradite le parole della mia bocca, davanti a te i pensieri del mio cuore. Signore, mia rupe e mio redentore.
