1 [For the choirmaster Psalm Of David] The heavens declare the glory of God, the vault of heavenproclaims his handiwork,	1 Al maestro di coro. Salmo. Di Davide.
2 day discourses of it to day, night to night hands on the knowledge.	2 I cieli narrano la gloria di Dio e il firmamento annunzia l'opera delle sue mani;
3 No utterance at al , no speech, not a sound to be heard,	3 il giorno al giorno enuncia il detto, la notte alla notte dà la notizia.
4 but from the entire earth the design stands out, this message reaches the whole world. High above, hepitched a tent for the sun,	4 Non è loquela, non sono parole, non si ha percezione del loro suono;
5 who comes forth from his pavilion like a bridegroom, delights like a champion in the course to be run.	5 in tutta la terra uscì il loro richiamo, ai confini del mondo le loro parole.
6 Rising on the one horizon he runs his circuit to the other, and nothing can escape his heat.	6 In essi collocò una tenda per il sole, ed egli è come uno sposo che esce dal suo talamo, come un prode che corre la sua via.
7 The Law of Yahweh is perfect, refreshment to the soul; the decree of Yahweh is trustworthy, wisdomfor the simple.	7 Dall'estremità dei cieli è la sua levata, ai loro confini è il suo ritorno; nulla può sottrarsi al suo calore.
8 The precepts of Yahweh are honest, joy for the heart; the commandment of Yahweh is pure, light forthe eyes.	8 La legge del Signore è perfetta: rinfranca l'anima. La testimonianza del Signore è fedele: dà saggezza ai semplici.
9 The fear of Yahweh is pure, lasting for ever; the judgements of Yahweh are true, upright, every one,	9 I precetti del Signore sono retti: dànno gioia al cuore. Il comando del Signore è splendido: dà luce agli occhi.
10 more desirable than gold, even than the finest gold; his words are sweeter than honey, that dripsfrom the comb.	10 La parola del Signore è pura: rimane in eterno. I giudizi del Signore sono veri: sono giusti tutti insieme;
11 Thus your servant is formed by them; observing them brings great reward.	11 essi sono preziosi più che l'oro, più che un'abbondanza di oro purissimo; sono dolci più che miele, assai più che favi stillanti.
12 But who can detect his own failings? Wash away my hidden faults.	12 Il tuo servo si lasci guidare da essi e nella loro osservanza trovi una gran ricompensa.
13 And from pride preserve your servant, never let it be my master. So shal I be above reproach, freefrom grave sin.	13 Gli errori chi li comprende? Dalle trasgressioni rendimi immune.
14 May the words of my mouth always find favour, and the whispering of my heart, in your presence,Yahweh, my rock, my redeemer.	14 Dall'orgoglio, più di tutto, custodisci il tuo servo ché non stenda su di me il suo dominio; allora sarò puro e immune da grave colpa.
	15 Incontrino il tuo favore i detti della mia bocca e il palpito del mio cuore giunga al tuo cospetto, Signore, mia rupe e mia difesa.
