¹ [For the choirmaster Psalm Of David] The heavens declare the glory of God, the vault of heavenproclaims his handiwork,	¹ Zborovođi. Psalam. Davidov.
² day discourses of it to day, night to night hands on the knowledge.	² Nebesa slavu Božju kazuju, naviješta svod nebeski djelo ruku njegovih.
³ No utterance at al , no speech, not a sound to be heard,	³ Dan danu to objavljuje, a noć noći glas predaje.
⁴ but from the entire earth the design stands out, this message reaches the whole world. High above, hepitched a tent for the sun,	⁴ Nije to riječ, a ni govor nije, nije ni glas što se može čuti,
⁵ who comes forth from his pavilion like a bridegroom, delights like a champion in the course to be run.	⁵ al’ po zemlji razliježe se jeka, riječi sve do nakraj svijeta sežu. Ondje suncu razape šator,
⁶ Rising on the one horizon he runs his circuit to the other, and nothing can escape his heat.	⁶ te ono k’o ženik iz ložnice ide, k’o div kliče kad prelijeće stazu.
⁷ The Law of Yahweh is perfect, refreshment to the soul; the decree of Yahweh is trustworthy, wisdomfor the simple.	⁷ Izlazi ono od nebeskog kraja, i put mu se opet s krajem spaja, ne skriva se ništa žaru njegovu.
⁸ The precepts of Yahweh are honest, joy for the heart; the commandment of Yahweh is pure, light forthe eyes.	⁸ Savršen je zakon Jahvin – dušu krijepi; pouzdano je svjedočanstvo Jahvino – neuka uči;
⁹ The fear of Yahweh is pure, lasting for ever; the judgements of Yahweh are true, upright, every one,	⁹ prava je naredba Jahvina – srce sladi; čista je zapovijed Jahvina – oči prosvjetljuje;
¹⁰ more desirable than gold, even than the finest gold; his words are sweeter than honey, that dripsfrom the comb.	¹⁰ neokaljan strah Jahvin – ostaje svagda; istiniti sudovi Jahvini – svi jednako pravedni,
¹¹ Thus your servant is formed by them; observing them brings great reward.	¹¹ dragocjeniji od zlata, od mnogo zlata čistoga, slađi od meda, meda samotoka.
¹² But who can detect his own failings? Wash away my hidden faults.	¹² Sluga tvoj pomno na njih pazi, vrlo brižno on ih čuva.
¹³ And from pride preserve your servant, never let it be my master. So shal I be above reproach, freefrom grave sin.	¹³ Ali tko propuste svoje da zapazi? Od potajnih grijeha očisti me!
¹⁴ May the words of my mouth always find favour, and the whispering of my heart, in your presence,Yahweh, my rock, my redeemer.	¹⁴ Od oholosti čuvaj slugu svoga da mnome ne zavlada. Tad ću biti neokaljan, čist od grijeha velikoga.
	¹⁵ Moje ti riječi omiljele i razmišljanje srca moga pred licem tvojim. Jahve, hridi moja, otkupitelju moj!
