1 [For the choirmaster Psalm Of David] The heavens declare the glory of God, the vault of heavenproclaims his handiwork,	1 Zborovođi. Psalam. Davidov.
2 day discourses of it to day, night to night hands on the knowledge.	2 Nebesa slavu Božju kazuju, naviješta svod nebeski djelo ruku njegovih.
3 No utterance at al , no speech, not a sound to be heard,	3 Dan danu to objavljuje, a noć noći glas predaje.
4 but from the entire earth the design stands out, this message reaches the whole world. High above, hepitched a tent for the sun,	4 Nije to riječ, a ni govor nije, nije ni glas što se može čuti,
5 who comes forth from his pavilion like a bridegroom, delights like a champion in the course to be run.	5 al’ po zemlji razliježe se jeka, riječi sve do nakraj svijeta sežu. Ondje suncu razape šator,
6 Rising on the one horizon he runs his circuit to the other, and nothing can escape his heat.	6 te ono k’o ženik iz ložnice ide, k’o div kliče kad prelijeće stazu.
7 The Law of Yahweh is perfect, refreshment to the soul; the decree of Yahweh is trustworthy, wisdomfor the simple.	7 Izlazi ono od nebeskog kraja, i put mu se opet s krajem spaja, ne skriva se ništa žaru njegovu.
8 The precepts of Yahweh are honest, joy for the heart; the commandment of Yahweh is pure, light forthe eyes.	8 Savršen je zakon Jahvin – dušu krijepi; pouzdano je svjedočanstvo Jahvino – neuka uči;
9 The fear of Yahweh is pure, lasting for ever; the judgements of Yahweh are true, upright, every one,	9 prava je naredba Jahvina – srce sladi; čista je zapovijed Jahvina – oči prosvjetljuje;
10 more desirable than gold, even than the finest gold; his words are sweeter than honey, that dripsfrom the comb.	10 neokaljan strah Jahvin – ostaje svagda; istiniti sudovi Jahvini – svi jednako pravedni,
11 Thus your servant is formed by them; observing them brings great reward.	11 dragocjeniji od zlata, od mnogo zlata čistoga, slađi od meda, meda samotoka.
12 But who can detect his own failings? Wash away my hidden faults.	12 Sluga tvoj pomno na njih pazi, vrlo brižno on ih čuva.
13 And from pride preserve your servant, never let it be my master. So shal I be above reproach, freefrom grave sin.	13 Ali tko propuste svoje da zapazi? Od potajnih grijeha očisti me!
14 May the words of my mouth always find favour, and the whispering of my heart, in your presence,Yahweh, my rock, my redeemer.	14 Od oholosti čuvaj slugu svoga da mnome ne zavlada. Tad ću biti neokaljan, čist od grijeha velikoga.
	15 Moje ti riječi omiljele i razmišljanje srca moga pred licem tvojim. Jahve, hridi moja, otkupitelju moj!
