Psalms 19

NEW JERUSALEM	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS
1 [For the choirmaster Psalm Of David] The heavens declare the glory of God, the vault of heavenproclaims his handiwork,	1 Del maestro de coro. Salmo de David.
2 day discourses of it to day, night to night hands on the knowledge.	2 El cielo proclama la gloria de Dios y el firmamento anuncia la obra de sus manos;
3 No utterance at al , no speech, not a sound to be heard,	3 un día transmite al otro este mensaje y las noches se van dando la noticia.
4 but from the entire earth the design stands out, this message reaches the whole world. High above, hepitched a tent for the sun,	4 Sin hablar, sin pronunciar palabras, sin que se escuche su voz,
5 who comes forth from his pavilion like a bridegroom, delights like a champion in the course to be run.	5 resuena su eco por toda la tierra y su lenguaje, hasta los confines del mundo. Allí puso una carpa para el sol,
6 Rising on the one horizon he runs his circuit to the other, and nothing can escape his heat.	6 y este, igual que un esposo que sale de su alcoba, se alegra como un atleta al recorrer su camino.
7 The Law of Yahweh is perfect, refreshment to the soul; the decree of Yahweh is trustworthy, wisdomfor the simple.	7 El sale de un extremo del cielo, su órbita llega hasta el otro extremo, y no hay nada que escape a su calor.
8 The precepts of Yahweh are honest, joy for the heart; the commandment of Yahweh is pure, light forthe eyes.	8 La ley del Señor es perfecta, reconforta el alma; el testimonio del Señor es verdadero, da sabiduría al simple.
9 The fear of Yahweh is pure, lasting for ever; the judgements of Yahweh are true, upright, every one,	9 Los preceptos del Señor son rectos, alegran el corazón; los mandamientos del Señor son claros, iluminan los ojos.
10 more desirable than gold, even than the finest gold; his words are sweeter than honey, that dripsfrom the comb.	10 la palabra del Señor es pura, permanece para siempre; los juicios del Señor son la verdad, enteramente justos.
11 Thus your servant is formed by them; observing them brings great reward.	11 Son más atrayentes que el oro, que el oro más fino; más dulces que la miel, más que el jugo del panal.
12 But who can detect his own failings? Wash away my hidden faults.	12 También a mi me instruyen: observarlos es muy provechoso.
13 And from pride preserve your servant, never let it be my master. So shal I be above reproach, freefrom grave sin.	13 Pero ¿Quién advierte sus propios errores? Purifícame de las faltas ocultas.
14 May the words of my mouth always find favour, and the whispering of my heart, in your presence,Yahweh, my rock, my redeemer.	14 Presérvame, además, del orgullo, para que no me domine; entonces seré irreprochable y me veré libre de ese gran pecado.
	15 ¡Ojalá sean de tu agrado las palabras de mi boca, y lleguen hasta ti mis pensamientos, Señor, mi Roca y mi redentor!
