Psalms 16

NEW JERUSALEM	STUTTGARTENSIA-DELITZSCH
1 [In a quiet voice Of David] Protect me, O God, in you is my refuge.	1 מִכְתָּם לְדָוִד שָׁמְרֵנִי אֵל כִּי־חָסִיתִי בָךְ
2 To Yahweh I say, 'You are my Lord, my happiness is in none	2 אָמַרְתְּ לַיהוָה אֲדֹנָי אָתָּה טֹובָתִי בַּל־עָלֶיךָ
3 of the sacred spirits of the earth.' They only take advantage of al who love them.	3 לִקְדֹושִׁים אֲשֶׁר־בָּאָרֶץ הֵמָּה וְאַדִּירֵי כָּל־חֶפְצִי־בָם
4 People flock to their teeming idols. Never shal I pour libations to them! Never take their names on mylips.	4 יִרְבּוּ עַצְּבֹותָם אַחֵר מָהָרוּ בַּל־אַסִּיךְ נִסְכֵּיהֶם מִדָּם וּבַל־אֶשָּׂא אֶתשְׁ־מֹותָם עַל־שְׂפָתָי
5 My birthright, my cup is Yahweh; you, you alone, hold my lot secure.	5 יְהוָה מְנָת־חֶלְקִי וְכֹוסִי אַתָּה תֹּומִיךְ גֹּורָלִי
6 The measuring-line marks out for me a delightful place, my birthright is al I could wish.	6 חֲבָלִים נָפְלוּ־לִי בַּנְּעִמִים אַף־נַחֲלָת שָׁפְרָה עָלָי
7 I bless Yahweh who is my counsel or, even at night my heart instructs me.	7 אֲבָרֵךְ אֶת־יְהוָה אֲשֶׁר יְעָצָנִי אַף־לֵילֹות יִסְּרוּנִי כִלְיֹותָי
8 I keep Yahweh before me always, for with him at my right hand, nothing can shake me.	8 שִׁוִּיתִי יְהוָה לְנֶגְדִּי תָמִיד כִּי מִימִינִי בַּל־אֶמֹּוט
9 So my heart rejoices, my soul delights, my body too wil rest secure,	9 לָכֵן ׀ שָׂמַח לִבִּי וַיָּגֶל כְּבֹודִי אַף־בְּשָׂרִי יִשְׁכֹּן לָבֶטַח
10 for you wil not abandon me to Sheol, you cannot al ow your faithful servant to see the abyss.	10 כִּי ׀ לֹא־תַעֲזֹב נַפְשִׁי לִשְׁאֹול לֹא־תִתֵּן חֲסִידְךָ לִרְאֹות שָׁחַת
11 You wil teach me the path of life, unbounded joy in your presence, at your right hand delight for ever.	11 תֹּודִיעֵנִי אֹרַח חַיִּים שֹׂבַע מָחֹות אֶת־פָּנֶיךָ נְעִמֹות בִּימִינְךָ נֶצַח
	12 וְהָיָה כִי־נִרְאָה כִּי־נִלְאָה מֹואָב עַל־הַבָּמָה וּבָא אֶל־מִקְדָּשֹׁו לְהִתְפַּלֵּל וְלֹא יוּכָל
	13 זֶה הַדָּבָר אֲשֶׁר דִּבֶּר יְהוָה אֶל־מֹואָב מֵאָז
	14 וְעַתָּה דִּבֶּר יְהוָה לֵאמֹר בְּשָׁלֹשׁ שָׁנִים כִּשְׁנֵי שָׂכִיר וְנִקְלָה כְּבֹוד מֹואָב בְּכֹל הֶהָמֹון הָרָב וּשְׁאָר מְעַט מִזְעָר לֹוא כַבִּיר׃ ס
