1 [In a quiet voice Of David] Protect me, O God, in you is my refuge.	1 Miktam. Di Davide.Proteggimi, o Dio: in te mi rifugio.
2 To Yahweh I say, 'You are my Lord, my happiness is in none	2 Ho detto al Signore: «Il mio Signore sei tu,solo in te è il mio bene».
3 of the sacred spirits of the earth.' They only take advantage of al who love them.	3 Agli idoli del paese,agli dèi potenti andava tutto il mio favore.
4 People flock to their teeming idols. Never shal I pour libations to them! Never take their names on mylips.	4 Moltiplicano le loro penequelli che corrono dietro a un dio straniero.Io non spanderò le loro libagioni di sangue,né pronuncerò con le mie labbra i loro nomi.
5 My birthright, my cup is Yahweh; you, you alone, hold my lot secure.	5 Il Signore è mia parte di eredità e mio calice:nelle tue mani è la mia vita.
6 The measuring-line marks out for me a delightful place, my birthright is al I could wish.	6 Per me la sorte è caduta su luoghi deliziosi:la mia eredità è stupenda.
7 I bless Yahweh who is my counsel or, even at night my heart instructs me.	7 Benedico il Signore che mi ha dato consiglio;anche di notte il mio animo mi istruisce.
8 I keep Yahweh before me always, for with him at my right hand, nothing can shake me.	8 Io pongo sempre davanti a me il Signore,sta alla mia destra, non potrò vacillare.
9 So my heart rejoices, my soul delights, my body too wil rest secure,	9 Per questo gioisce il mio cuoreed esulta la mia anima;anche il mio corpo riposa al sicuro,
10 for you wil not abandon me to Sheol, you cannot al ow your faithful servant to see the abyss.	10 perché non abbandonerai la mia vita negli inferi,né lascerai che il tuo fedele veda la fossa.
11 You wil teach me the path of life, unbounded joy in your presence, at your right hand delight for ever.	11 Mi indicherai il sentiero della vita,gioia piena alla tua presenza,dolcezza senza fine alla tua destra.
