Psalms 16

NEW JERUSALEM	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS
1 [In a quiet voice Of David] Protect me, O God, in you is my refuge.	1 Mictán de David. Protégeme, Dios mío, porque me refugio en ti.
2 To Yahweh I say, 'You are my Lord, my happiness is in none	2 Yo digo al Señor: «Señor, tú eres mi bien, no hay nada superior a ti».
3 of the sacred spirits of the earth.' They only take advantage of al who love them.	3 Ellos, en cambio, dicen a los dioses de la tierra: «Mis príncipes, ustedes son toda mi alegría».
4 People flock to their teeming idols. Never shal I pour libations to them! Never take their names on mylips.	4 Multiplican sus ídolos y corren tras ellos, pero yo no les ofreceré libaciones de sangre, ni mis labios pronunciarán sus nombres.
5 My birthright, my cup is Yahweh; you, you alone, hold my lot secure.	5 El Señor es la parte de mi herencia y mi cáliz, ¡tú decides mi suerte!
6 The measuring-line marks out for me a delightful place, my birthright is al I could wish.	6 Me ha tocado un lugar de delicias, estoy contento con mi herencia.
7 I bless Yahweh who is my counsel or, even at night my heart instructs me.	7 Bendeciré al Señor que me aconseja, ¡hasta de noche me instruye mi conciencia!
8 I keep Yahweh before me always, for with him at my right hand, nothing can shake me.	8 Tengo siempre presente al Señor: él está a mi lado, nunca vacilaré.
9 So my heart rejoices, my soul delights, my body too wil rest secure,	9 Por eso mi corazón se alegra, se regocijan mis entrañas y todo mi ser descansa seguro:
10 for you wil not abandon me to Sheol, you cannot al ow your faithful servant to see the abyss.	10 porque no me entregarás la Muerte ni dejarás que tu amigo vea el sepulcro.
11 You wil teach me the path of life, unbounded joy in your presence, at your right hand delight for ever.	11 Me harás conocer el camino de la vida, saciándome de gozo en tu presencia, de felicidad eterna a tu derecha.
