¹ [Song of Ascents Of Solomon] If Yahweh does not build a house in vain do its builders toil. If Yahwehdoes not guard a city in vain does its guard keep watch.	¹ Cantico de' gradi. Beati tutti coloro, che temono il Signore, che camminano nelle sue vie.
² In vain you get up earlier, and put off going to bed, sweating to make a living, since it is he whoprovides for his beloved as they sleep.	² Perché tu mangerai le fatiche delle tue mani, tu se' beato, e sarai felice.
³ Sons are a birthright from Yahweh, children are a reward from him.	³ La tua consorte come vite feconda: nell'interior di tua casa.
⁴ Like arrows in a warrior's hand are the sons you father when young.	⁴ I tuoi figliuoli, come novelle piante d'ulivi intorno alla tua mensa.
⁵ How blessed is the man who has fil ed his quiver with them; in dispute with his enemies at the citygate he wil not be worsted.	⁵ Ecco come sarà benedetto l'uomo, che teme il Signore.
	⁶ Ti benedica da Sionne il Signore, e vegga tu i beni di Gerusalemme per tutti i giorni della tua vita.
	⁷ E vegga tu i figliuoli de' tuoi figliuoli: e la pace in Israele.
