1 [Song of Ascents Of Solomon] If Yahweh does not build a house in vain do its builders toil. If Yahwehdoes not guard a city in vain does its guard keep watch.	1 (Salmo graduale). Beati tutti quelli che temono il Signore e camminano nelle vie di lui.
2 In vain you get up earlier, and put off going to bed, sweating to make a living, since it is he whoprovides for his beloved as they sleep.	2 Perchè vivi col lavoro delle tue mani, tu sei beato e sarai felice.
3 Sons are a birthright from Yahweh, children are a reward from him.	3 La tua sposa è come vite feconda nell'intimo della tua casa, i tuoi figli come rampolli di olivi intorno alla tua mensa.
4 Like arrows in a warrior's hand are the sons you father when young.	4 Ecco come sarà benedetto l'uomo che teme il Signore.
5 How blessed is the man who has fil ed his quiver with them; in dispute with his enemies at the citygate he wil not be worsted.	5 Ti benedica il Signore da Sionne e possa tu vedere la felicità di Gerusalemme per tutti i giorni della tua vita.
