NEW JERUSALEM	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS
1 [Song of Ascents Of Solomon] If Yahweh does not build a house in vain do its builders toil. If Yahwehdoes not guard a city in vain does its guard keep watch.	1 Canto de peregrinación. De Salomón. Si el Señor no edifica la casa, en vano trabajan los albañiles; si el Señor no custodia la ciudad en vano vigila el centinela.
2 In vain you get up earlier, and put off going to bed, sweating to make a living, since it is he whoprovides for his beloved as they sleep.	2 Es inútil que ustedes madruguen; es inútil que velen hasta muy tarde y se desvivan por ganar el pan: ¡Dios lo da a sus amigos mientras duermen!
3 Sons are a birthright from Yahweh, children are a reward from him.	3 Los hijos son un regalo del Señor, el fruto del vientre es una recompensa;
4 Like arrows in a warrior's hand are the sons you father when young.	4 como flechas en la mano de un guerrero son los hijos de la juventud.
5 How blessed is the man who has fil ed his quiver with them; in dispute with his enemies at the citygate he wil not be worsted.	5 ¡Feliz el hombre que llena con ellos su aljaba! No será humillado al discutir con sus enemigos en la puerta de la ciudad.
