Psalms 107

NEW JERUSALEM	KÁLDI-NEOVULGÁTA
1 Al eluia! Give thanks to Yahweh for he is good, his faithful love lasts for ever.	1 ALLELUJA! Áldjátok az Urat, mert jó, mert irgalma örökkévaló.
2 So let them say whom Yahweh redeemed, whom he redeemed from the power of their enemies,	2 Így szóljanak azok, akiket megváltott az Úr, akiket megszabadított az ellenség kezéből,
3 bringing them back from foreign lands, from east and west, north and south.	3 s egybegyűjtött az országokból, napkeletről és nyugatról, északról és délről.
4 They were wandering in the desert, in the wastelands, could find no way to an inhabited city;	4 Kietlen pusztában bolyongtak, nem találtak utat lakott város felé.
5 they were hungry and thirsty, their life was ebbing away.	5 Éhséget és szomjúságot szenvedtek, a lélek elepedt bennük.
6 They cried out to Yahweh in their distress, he rescued them from their plight,	6 De szorongatásukban az Úrhoz kiáltottak, s ő gyötrelmükből kiragadta őket.
7 he set them on the road, straight to an inhabited city.	7 Ráterelte őket a helyes útra, és lakott városhoz jutottak.
8 Let them thank Yahweh for his faithful love, for his wonders for the children of Adam!	8 Áldják tehát az Urat irgalmasságáért, az emberek fiaival művelt csodáiért,
9 He has fed the hungry to their hearts' content, filled the starving with good things.	9 mert a szomjazók elteltek és az éhezőket eltöltötte minden jóval.
10 Sojourners in gloom and shadow dark as death, fettered in misery and chains,	10 Sötétségben, a halál árnyékában ültek, vasra verve, nyomorban,
11 for defying the orders of Yahweh, for scorning the plan of the Most High-	11 mert ellene szegültek Isten szavának, és megvetették a Fölséges tanácsát.
12 he subdued their spirit by hard labour; if they fel there was no one to help.	12 Ezért nyomorúsággal törte meg szívüket, elestek és nem volt, aki fölsegítse őket.
13 They cried out to Yahweh in their distress, he rescued them from their plight,	13 De szorongatásukban az Úrhoz kiáltottak, s ő gyötrelmükből kiragadta őket.
14 he brought them out from gloom and shadow dark as death, and shattered their chains.	14 Kihozta őket a sötétségből s a halál árnyékából, és összetörte bilincseiket.
15 Let them thank Yahweh for his faithful love, for his wonders for the children of Adam!	15 Áldják tehát az Urat irgalmasságáért, az emberek fiaival művelt csodáiért,
16 He broke open gates of bronze and smashed iron bars.	16 hogy összetörte az érckapukat, s összezúzta a vas-zárakat.
17 Fools for their rebellious ways, wretched because of their sins,	17 Balgaságba estek gonoszságuk útján, nyomorba jutottak hamisságuk miatt.
18 finding all food repugnant, brought close to the gates of death-	18 Minden étket megutált a lelkük, s a halál kapuihoz közeledtek.
19 they cried out to Yahweh in their distress; he rescued them from their plight,	19 De szorongatásukban az Úrhoz kiáltottak, s ő gyötrelmükből kiragadta őket.
20 he sent out his word and cured them, and rescued their life from the abyss.	20 Elküldte igéjét és meggyógyította őket, és kimentette őket a sírveremből.
21 Let them thank Yahweh for his faithful love, for his wonders for the children of Adam!	21 Áldják tehát az Urat irgalmasságáért, az emberek fiaival művelt csodáiért,
22 Let them offer thanksgiving sacrifices, and recount with shouts of joy what he has done!	22 mutassanak be neki hálaáldozatot, és hirdessék ujjongva tetteit.
23 Voyagers on the sea in ships, plying their trade on the great ocean,	23 Amikor hajókon tengerre szálltak, s a nagy vizeken kereskedtek,
24 have seen the works of Yahweh, his wonders in the deep.	24 látták az Úr cselekedeteit, csodatetteit a tenger mélységeivel.
25 By his word he raised a storm-wind, lashing up towering waves.	25 Szavára szélvész keletkezett, s az magasra verte a hullámokat.
26 Up to the sky then down to the depths! Their stomachs were turned to water;	26 Ők az égig emelkedtek és a mélységbe süllyedtek; Kétségbeestek a veszedelemben.
27 they staggered and reeled like drunkards, and al their skill went under.	27 Szédelegtek, tántorogtak, mint a részeg, és minden bölcsességük odalett.
28 They cried out to Yahweh in their distress, he rescued them from their plight,	28 De szorongatásukban az Úrhoz kiáltottak, s ő gyötrelmükből kiragadta őket.
29 he reduced the storm to a calm, and al the waters subsided,	29 A szélvészt szellővé változtatta, és lecsendesedtek a habok.
30 and he brought them, overjoyed at the stillness, to the port where they were bound.	30 És amíg ők örültek, hogy nyugtuk lett, elvezette őket abba a kikötőbe, amelybe törekedtek.
31 Let them thank Yahweh for his faithful love, for his wonders for the children of Adam!	31 Áldják tehát az Urat irgalmasságáért, az emberek fiaival művelt csodáiért;
32 Let them extol him in the assembly of the people, and praise him in the council of elders.	32 Magasztalják őt a nép gyülekezetében, és dicsérjék őt a vének tanácsában.
33 He has turned rivers into desert, bubbling springs into arid ground,	33 Folyóvizeket tett pusztasággá, vízforrásokat sivataggá,
34 fertile country into salt-flats, because the people living there were evil.	34 termékeny földet szikes pusztává lakóinak gonoszsága miatt.
35 But he has turned desert into stretches of water, arid ground into bubbling springs,	35 De tóvá változtatott sivatagot, és vizek forrásává olyan földet, amelyen víz nem volt.
36 and has given the hungry a home, where they have built themselves a city.	36 Éhezőket telepített le ott és lakóhelyül várost építettek.
37 There they sow fields and plant vines, and reap a harvest of their produce.	37 Bevetették a mezőket, szőlőt ültettek, és bőséges termésre tettek szert.
38 He blesses them and their numbers increase, he keeps their cattle at full strength.	38 Megáldotta őket, nagyon megsokasodtak, s nagyszámú állatot adott nekik.

43 Who is wise? Such a one should take this to heart, and come to understand Yahweh's faithful love.	43 Ki olyan bölcs, hogy fölfogná ezeket, és megértené az Úr irgalmasságát?
