NEW JERUSALEM	LA SACRA BIBBIA
1 After he had put up buildings for himself in the City of David, he prepared a place for the ark of Godand pitched a tent for it.	1 Davide si costruì edifici nella Città di Davide, preparò un posto per l'arca di Dio e le eresse una tenda.
2 David then said, 'No one but the Levites should carry the ark of God, since Yahweh has chosen themto carry the ark of Yahweh and to minister to him for ever.'	2 Allora Davide disse: "Per portare l'arca di Dio non ci sono che i leviti, giacché il Signore scelse costoro per portare l'arca del Signore ed essere per sempre al suo servizio".
3 David then summoned al Israel to Jerusalem, to move the ark of Yahweh to the place which he hadprepared for it.	3 Davide convocò tutto Israele in Gerusalemme per trasportare l'arca del Signore nel posto che le aveva preparato.
4 David also cal ed the sons of Aaron and the Levites together:	4 Davide radunò i figli di Aronne ed i leviti.
5 of the sons of Kohath: Uriel the chief and his hundred and twenty kinsmen;	5 Dei figli di Keat: Uriel, il principe, con i suoi centoventi fratelli.
6 of the sons of Merari: Asaiah the chief and his two hundred and twenty kinsmen;	6 Dei figli di Merari: Asaia, il principe, con i suoi duecentoventi fratelli.
7 of the sons of Gershom: Joel the chief and his hundred and thirty kinsmen;	7 Dei figli di Gherson: Gioele, il principe, con i suoi centotrenta fratelli.
8 of the sons of Elizaphan: Shemaiah the chief and his two hundred kinsmen;	8 Dei figli di Elisafan: Semaia, il principe, con i suoi duecento fratelli.
9 of the sons of Hebron: Eliel the chief and eighty kinsmen;	9 Dei figli di Ebron: Eliel, il principe, con i suoi ottanta fratelli.
10 of the sons of Uzziel: Amminadab the chief and his hundred and twelve kinsmen.	10 Dei figli di Uzziel: Amminadàb, il principe, con i suoi centododici fratelli.
11 David then sent for the priests Zadok and Abiathar, and the Levites Uriel, Asaiah, Joel, Shemaiah,Eliel and Amminadab.	11 Davide chiamò i sacerdoti Zadòk ed Ebiatàr ed i leviti Uriel, Asaia, Gioele, Semaia, Eliel e Amminadàb
12 To them he said, 'You are the heads of the levitical families. Sanctify yourselves, you and yourkinsmen, so that you can move the ark of Yahweh, God of Israel, to the place which I have prepared for it.	12 e disse loro: "Voi siete i capi dei casati dei leviti. Santificatevi, voi e i vostri fratelli, e poi trasportate l'arca del Signore, Dio d'Israele, nel posto che io le ho preparato.
13 Because you were not there the first time, Yahweh our God broke out at us because we did nothandle it properly.'	13 Perché la prima volta non c'eravate e il Signore, nostro Dio, s'irritò con noi, perché non l'abbiamo consultato secondo la regola".
14 So the priests and the Levites sanctified themselves, to move the ark of Yahweh, God of Israel,	14 Pertanto i sacerdoti e i leviti si santificarono per trasportare l'arca del Signore, Dio d'Israele.
15 and the Levites carried the ark of God with the shafts on their shoulders, as Moses had ordered inaccordance with the word of Yahweh.	15 I figli dei leviti sollevarono l'arca di Dio sulle loro spalle per mezzo di stanghe che poggiavano su di loro, come aveva ordinato Mosè secondo la parola del Signore.
16 David also told the heads of the Levites to appoint their kinsmen as singers with the accompanimentof musical instruments, lyres, harps, and cymbals to play joyful y.	16 Davide aveva ordinato ai capi dei leviti di tenere pronti i loro fratelli cantori con i loro strumenti musicali, arpe, cetre e cembali, perché li facessero risuonare a gran voce in segno di gioia.
17 The Levites then appointed Heman son of Joel, Asaph son of Berechiah, one of his brothers, Ethanson of Kushaiah, one of their Merarite kinsmen;	17 I leviti destinarono Eman, figlio di Gioele, e tra i suoi fratelli Asaf, figlio di Berechia; tra i figli di Merari, loro fratelli, Etan, figlio di Kusaia.
18 and with them their kinsmen of the second rank: Zechariah, Uzziel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Unni, Eliab,Benaiah, Maaseiah, Mattithiah, Eliphelehu, Mikneiah, and Obed-Edom and Jehiel the gatekeepers.	18 Con loro c'erano i fratelli di secondo grado, Zaccaria, Uzziel, Semiramot, Iechièl, Unni, Eliel, Benaià, Maaseia, Mattatia, Elifel, Micneia, Obed-Edom e Ieièl, portieri.
19 The singers, Heman, Asaph and Ethan, were to play the bronze cymbals.	19 I cantori Eman, Asaf ed Etan usavano squillanti cembali di bronzo.
20 Zechariah, Uzziel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Unni, Eliab, Maaseiah and Benaiah were to play the lyre.	20 Zaccaria, Uzziel, Semiramot, Iechièl, Unni, Eliàb, Maaseia e Benaià suonavano arpe per voci di soprano.
21 Mattithiah, Eliphelehu, Mikneiah, Obed-Edom, Jehiel and Azaziah, giving the beat, were to play theharp.	21 Mattatia, Elifel, Micneia, Obed-Edom, Ieièl e Azaria suonavano le cetre sull'ottava per dare il tono.
22 Chenaniah, the levitical director of transport was in charge of the transport, being skilful at it.	22 Chenania, capo dei leviti trasportatori, dirigeva il trasporto, perché in ciò era esperto.
23 Berechiah and Elkanah were gatekeepers for the ark.	23 Berechia e Elkana fungevano da portieri presso l'arca.
24 The priests Shebaniah, Joshaphat, Nethanel, Amasai, Zechariah, Benaiah and Eliezer blew trumpetsbefore the ark of God, while Obed-Edom and Jehiah were also gatekeepers for the ark.	24 I sacerdoti Sebania, Giosafat, Netaneèl, Amasài, Zaccaria, Benaià ed Eliezer suonavano le trombe davanti all'arca di Dio, mentre Obed-Edom e Iechièl fungevano da portieri presso l'arca.
25 David, the elders of Israel and the commanders of the thousands accordingly went, amid greatrejoicing, to bring the ark of the covenant of Yahweh up from Obed-Edom's house,	25 Allora Davide, gli anziani d'Israele e i capi di migliaia procedettero a trasportare con gioia l'arca dell'alleanza del Signore dalla casa di Obed-Edom.
26 and since God was helping the Levites who carried the ark of the covenant of Yahweh, theysacrificed seven bul s and seven rams.	26 Poiché Dio veniva in aiuto dei leviti che portavano l'arca dell'alleanza del Signore, si offrirono in sacrificio sette giovenchi e sette arieti.
27 David, al the Levites who carried the ark, the singers and Chenaniah, director of transport, worecloaks of fine linen. 28 Thus, with war-cries and the sounding of the horn, the trumpets and the cymbals, and the music oflyres and harps, al Israel transported the ark of the covenant of Yahweh.	28 Tutto Israele accompagnava il trasporto dell'arca dell'alleanza del Signore con grida, al suono dei corni, con trombe e cembali, facendo risuonare arpe e cetre.
29 Now, as the ark of the covenant of Yahweh entered the City of David, Michal daughter of Saul waswatching from the window and, when she saw King David dancing and playing, the sight of him filled her withcontempt.	29 Quando l'arca dell'alleanza del Signore giunse nella città di Davide, Mical, figlia di Saul, guardando dalla finestra, vide il re Davide che danzava e saltava e lo disprezzò in cuor suo.
