1 Chronicles 15

NEW JERUSALEM	SMITH VAN DYKE
1 After he had put up buildings for himself in the City of David, he prepared a place for the ark of Godand pitched a tent for it.	1 وعمل داود لنفسه بيوتا في مدينة داود واعدّ مكانا لتابوت الله ونصب له خيمة.
2 David then said, 'No one but the Levites should carry the ark of God, since Yahweh has chosen themto carry the ark of Yahweh and to minister to him for ever.'	2 حينئذ قال داود ليس لاحد ان يحمل تابوت الله الا للاويين لان الرب انما اختارهم لحمل تابوت الله ولخدمته الى الابد.
3 David then summoned al Israel to Jerusalem, to move the ark of Yahweh to the place which he hadprepared for it.	3 وجمع داود كل اسرائيل الى اورشليم لاجل اصعاد تابوت الرب الى مكانه الذي اعدّه له.
4 David also cal ed the sons of Aaron and the Levites together:	4 فجمع داود بني هرون واللاويين.
5 of the sons of Kohath: Uriel the chief and his hundred and twenty kinsmen;	5 من بني قهات اوريئيل الرئيس واخوته مئة وعشرين.
6 of the sons of Merari: Asaiah the chief and his two hundred and twenty kinsmen;	6 من بني مراري عسايا الرئيس واخوته مئتين وعشرين.
7 of the sons of Gershom: Joel the chief and his hundred and thirty kinsmen;	7 من بني جرشوم يوئيل الرئيس واخوته مئة وثلاثين.
8 of the sons of Elizaphan: Shemaiah the chief and his two hundred kinsmen;	8 من بني اليصافان شمعيا الرئيس واخوته مئتين.
9 of the sons of Hebron: Eliel the chief and eighty kinsmen;	9 من بني حبرون ايليئيل الرئيس واخوته ثمانين.
10 of the sons of Uzziel: Amminadab the chief and his hundred and twelve kinsmen.	10 من بني عزيئيل عميناداب الرئيس واخوته مئة واثني عشر.
11 David then sent for the priests Zadok and Abiathar, and the Levites Uriel, Asaiah, Joel, Shemaiah,Eliel and Amminadab.	11 ودعا داود صادوق وابياثار الكاهنين واللاويين اوريئيل وعسايا ويوئيل وشمعيا وايليئيل وعميناداب
12 To them he said, 'You are the heads of the levitical families. Sanctify yourselves, you and yourkinsmen, so that you can move the ark of Yahweh, God of Israel, to the place which I have prepared for it.	12 وقال لهم انتم رؤوس آباء اللاويين فتقدسوا انتم واخوتكم واصعدوا تابوت الرب اله اسرائيل الى حيث اعددت له.
13 Because you were not there the first time, Yahweh our God broke out at us because we did nothandle it properly.'	13 لانه اذ لم تكونوا في المرة الاولى اقتحمنا الرب الهنا لاننا لم نسأله حسب المرسوم.
14 So the priests and the Levites sanctified themselves, to move the ark of Yahweh, God of Israel,	14 فتقدس الكهنة واللاويون ليصعدوا تابوت الرب اله اسرائيل.
15 and the Levites carried the ark of God with the shafts on their shoulders, as Moses had ordered inaccordance with the word of Yahweh.	15 وحمل بنو اللاويين تابوت الله كما أمر موسى حسب كلام الرب بالعصي على اكتافهم
16 David also told the heads of the Levites to appoint their kinsmen as singers with the accompanimentof musical instruments, lyres, harps, and cymbals to play joyful y.	16 وامر داود رؤساء اللاويين ان يوقفوا اخوتهم المغنين بآلات غناء بعيدان ورباب وصنوج مسمّعين برفع الصوت بفرح.
17 The Levites then appointed Heman son of Joel, Asaph son of Berechiah, one of his brothers, Ethanson of Kushaiah, one of their Merarite kinsmen;	17 فاوقف اللاويون هيمان بن يوئيل ومن اخوته آساف بن برخيا ومن بني مراري اخوتهم ايثان بن قوشيا
18 and with them their kinsmen of the second rank: Zechariah, Uzziel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Unni, Eliab,Benaiah, Maaseiah, Mattithiah, Eliphelehu, Mikneiah, and Obed-Edom and Jehiel the gatekeepers.	18 ومعهم اخوتهم الثواني زكريا وبين ويعزيئيل وشميراموث ويحيئيل وعنّي واليآب وبنايا ومعسيا ومتثايا واليفليا ومقنيا وعوبيد ادوم ويعيئيل البوابين.
19 The singers, Heman, Asaph and Ethan, were to play the bronze cymbals.	19 والمغنون هيمان وآساف وايثان بصنوج نحاس للتسميع.
20 Zechariah, Uzziel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Unni, Eliab, Maaseiah and Benaiah were to play the lyre.	20 وزكريا وعزيئيل وشميراموث ويحيئيل وعنّي واليآب ومعسيا وبنايا بالرباب على الجواب.
21 Mattithiah, Eliphelehu, Mikneiah, Obed-Edom, Jehiel and Azaziah, giving the beat, were to play theharp.	21 ومتّثيا واليفليا ومقنيا وعوبيد ادوم ويعيئيل وعززيا بالعيدان على القرار للامامة.
22 Chenaniah, the levitical director of transport was in charge of the transport, being skilful at it.	22 وكننيا رئيس اللاويين على الحمل مرشدا في الحمل لانه كان خبيرا.
23 Berechiah and Elkanah were gatekeepers for the ark.	23 وبرخيا والقانة بوابان للتابوت.
24 The priests Shebaniah, Joshaphat, Nethanel, Amasai, Zechariah, Benaiah and Eliezer blew trumpetsbefore the ark of God, while Obed-Edom and Jehiah were also gatekeepers for the ark.	24 وشبنيا ويوشافاط ونثنئيل وعماساي وزكريا وبنايا واليعزر الكهنة ينفخون بالابواق امام تابوت الله وعوبيد ادوم ويحيّى بوابان للتابوت
25 David, the elders of Israel and the commanders of the thousands accordingly went, amid greatrejoicing, to bring the ark of the covenant of Yahweh up from Obed-Edom's house,	25 وكان داود وشيوخ اسرائيل ورؤساء الالوف هم الذين ذهبوا لاصعاد تابوت عهد الرب من بيت عوبيد ادوم بفرح.
26 and since God was helping the Levites who carried the ark of the covenant of Yahweh, theysacrificed seven bul s and seven rams.	26 ولما اعان الله اللاويين حاملي تابوت عهد الرب ذبحوا سبعة عجول وسبعة كباش.
27 David, al the Levites who carried the ark, the singers and Chenaniah, director of transport, worecloaks of fine linen. David also wore a linen ephod.	27 وكان داود لابسا جبّة من كتّان وجميع اللاويين حاملين التابوت والمغنون وكننيا رئيس الحمل مع المغنين. وكان على داود افود من كتان.
28 Thus, with war-cries and the sounding of the horn, the trumpets and the cymbals, and the music oflyres and harps, al Israel transported the ark of the covenant of Yahweh.	28 فكان جميع اسرائيل يصعدون تابوت عهد الرب بهتاف وبصوت الاصوار والابواق والصنوج يصّوتون بالرباب والعيدان.
29 Now, as the ark of the covenant of Yahweh entered the City of David, Michal daughter of Saul waswatching from the window and, when she saw King David dancing and playing, the sight of him filled her withcontempt.	29 ولما دخل تابوت عهد الرب مدينة داود اشرفت ميكال بنت شاول من الكوّة فرأت الملك داود يرقص ويلعب فاحتقرته في قلبها
