1 Chronicles 15

NEW JERUSALEM	LXX
1 After he had put up buildings for himself in the City of David, he prepared a place for the ark of Godand pitched a tent for it.	1 και εποιησεν αυτω οικιας εν πολει δαυιδ και ητοιμασεν τον τοπον τη κιβωτω του θεου και εποιησεν αυτη σκηνην
2 David then said, 'No one but the Levites should carry the ark of God, since Yahweh has chosen themto carry the ark of Yahweh and to minister to him for ever.'	2 τοτε ειπεν δαυιδ ουκ εστιν αραι την κιβωτον του θεου αλλ' η τους λευιτας οτι αυτους εξελεξατο κυριος αιρειν την κιβωτον κυριου και λειτουργειν αυτω εως αιωνος
3 David then summoned al Israel to Jerusalem, to move the ark of Yahweh to the place which he hadprepared for it.	3 και εξεκκλησιασεν δαυιδ τον παντα ισραηλ εις ιερουσαλημ του ανενεγκαι την κιβωτον κυριου εις τον τοπον ον ητοιμασεν αυτη
4 David also cal ed the sons of Aaron and the Levites together:	4 και συνηγαγεν δαυιδ τους υιους ααρων και τους λευιτας
5 of the sons of Kohath: Uriel the chief and his hundred and twenty kinsmen;	5 των υιων κααθ ουριηλ ο αρχων και οι αδελφοι αυτου εκατον εικοσι
6 of the sons of Merari: Asaiah the chief and his two hundred and twenty kinsmen;	6 των υιων μεραρι ασαια ο αρχων και οι αδελφοι αυτου διακοσιοι πεντηκοντα
7 of the sons of Gershom: Joel the chief and his hundred and thirty kinsmen;	7 των υιων γηρσαμ ιωηλ ο αρχων και οι αδελφοι αυτου εκατον πεντηκοντα
8 of the sons of Elizaphan: Shemaiah the chief and his two hundred kinsmen;	8 των υιων ελισαφαν σαμαιας ο αρχων και οι αδελφοι αυτου διακοσιοι
9 of the sons of Hebron: Eliel the chief and eighty kinsmen;	9 των υιων χεβρων ελιηλ ο αρχων και οι αδελφοι αυτου ογδοηκοντα
10 of the sons of Uzziel: Amminadab the chief and his hundred and twelve kinsmen.	10 των υιων οζιηλ αμιναδαβ ο αρχων και οι αδελφοι αυτου εκατον δεκα δυο
11 David then sent for the priests Zadok and Abiathar, and the Levites Uriel, Asaiah, Joel, Shemaiah,Eliel and Amminadab.	11 και εκαλεσεν δαυιδ τον σαδωκ και αβιαθαρ τους ιερεις και τους λευιτας τον ουριηλ ασαια ιωηλ σαμαιαν ελιηλ αμιναδαβ
12 To them he said, 'You are the heads of the levitical families. Sanctify yourselves, you and yourkinsmen, so that you can move the ark of Yahweh, God of Israel, to the place which I have prepared for it.	12 και ειπεν αυτοις υμεις αρχοντες πατριων των λευιτων αγνισθητε υμεις και οι αδελφοι υμων και ανοισετε την κιβωτον του θεου ισραηλ ου ητοιμασα αυτη
13 Because you were not there the first time, Yahweh our God broke out at us because we did nothandle it properly.'	13 οτι ουκ εν τω προτερον υμας ειναι διεκοψεν ο θεος ημων εν ημιν οτι ουκ εζητησαμεν εν κριματι
14 So the priests and the Levites sanctified themselves, to move the ark of Yahweh, God of Israel,	14 και ηγνισθησαν οι ιερεις και οι λευιται του ανενεγκαι την κιβωτον θεου ισραηλ
15 and the Levites carried the ark of God with the shafts on their shoulders, as Moses had ordered inaccordance with the word of Yahweh.	15 και ελαβον οι υιοι των λευιτων την κιβωτον του θεου ως ενετειλατο μωυσης εν λογω θεου κατα την γραφην εν αναφορευσιν επ' αυτους
16 David also told the heads of the Levites to appoint their kinsmen as singers with the accompanimentof musical instruments, lyres, harps, and cymbals to play joyful y.	16 και ειπεν δαυιδ τοις αρχουσιν των λευιτων στησατε τους αδελφους αυτων τους ψαλτωδους εν οργανοις ωδων ναβλαις και κινυραις και κυμβαλοις του φωνησαι εις υψος εν φωνη ευφροσυνης
17 The Levites then appointed Heman son of Joel, Asaph son of Berechiah, one of his brothers, Ethanson of Kushaiah, one of their Merarite kinsmen;	17 και εστησαν οι λευιται τον αιμαν υιον ιωηλ εκ των αδελφων αυτου ασαφ υιος βαραχια και εκ των υιων μεραρι αδελφων αυτου αιθαν υιος κισαιου
18 and with them their kinsmen of the second rank: Zechariah, Uzziel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Unni, Eliab,Benaiah, Maaseiah, Mattithiah, Eliphelehu, Mikneiah, and Obed-Edom and Jehiel the gatekeepers.	18 και μετ' αυτων αδελφοι αυτων οι δευτεροι ζαχαριας και οζιηλ και σεμιραμωθ και ιιηλ και ωνι και ελιαβ και βαναια και μαασαια και ματταθια και ελιφαλια και μακενια και αβδεδομ και ιιηλ και οζιας οι πυλωροι
19 The singers, Heman, Asaph and Ethan, were to play the bronze cymbals.	19 και οι ψαλτωδοι αιμαν ασαφ και αιθαν εν κυμβαλοις χαλκοις του ακουσθηναι ποιησαι
20 Zechariah, Uzziel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Unni, Eliab, Maaseiah and Benaiah were to play the lyre.	20 ζαχαριας και οζιηλ σεμιραμωθ ιιηλ ωνι ελιαβ μασαιας βαναιας εν ναβλαις επι αλαιμωθ
21 Mattithiah, Eliphelehu, Mikneiah, Obed-Edom, Jehiel and Azaziah, giving the beat, were to play theharp.	21 και ματταθιας και ελιφαλιας και μακενιας και αβδεδομ και ιιηλ και οζιας εν κινυραις αμασενιθ του ενισχυσαι
22 Chenaniah, the levitical director of transport was in charge of the transport, being skilful at it.	22 και χωνενια αρχων των λευιτων αρχων των ωδων οτι συνετος ην
23 Berechiah and Elkanah were gatekeepers for the ark.	23 και βαραχια και ηλκανα πυλωροι της κιβωτου
24 The priests Shebaniah, Joshaphat, Nethanel, Amasai, Zechariah, Benaiah and Eliezer blew trumpetsbefore the ark of God, while Obed-Edom and Jehiah were also gatekeepers for the ark.	24 και σοβνια και ιωσαφατ και ναθαναηλ και αμασαι και ζαχαρια και βαναι και ελιεζερ οι ιερεις σαλπιζοντες ταις σαλπιγξιν εμπροσθεν της κιβωτου του θεου και αβδεδομ και ιια πυλωροι της κιβωτου του θεου
25 David, the elders of Israel and the commanders of the thousands accordingly went, amid greatrejoicing, to bring the ark of the covenant of Yahweh up from Obed-Edom's house,	25 και ην δαυιδ και οι πρεσβυτεροι ισραηλ και οι χιλιαρχοι οι πορευομενοι του αναγαγειν την κιβωτον της διαθηκης κυριου εξ οικου αβδεδομ εν ευφροσυνη
26 and since God was helping the Levites who carried the ark of the covenant of Yahweh, theysacrificed seven bul s and seven rams.	26 και εγενετο εν τω κατισχυσαι τον θεον τους λευιτας αιροντας την κιβωτον της διαθηκης κυριου και εθυσαν επτα μοσχους και επτα κριους
27 David, al the Levites who carried the ark, the singers and Chenaniah, director of transport, worecloaks of fine linen. David also wore a linen ephod.	27 και δαυιδ περιεζωσμενος εν στολη βυσσινη και παντες οι λευιται αιροντες την κιβωτον διαθηκης κυριου και οι ψαλτωδοι και χωνενιας ο αρχων των ωδων των αδοντων και επι δαυιδ στολη βυσσινη
28 Thus, with war-cries and the sounding of the horn, the trumpets and the cymbals, and the music oflyres and harps, al Israel transported the ark of the covenant of Yahweh.	28 και πας ισραηλ αναγοντες την κιβωτον διαθηκης κυριου εν σημασια και εν φωνη σωφερ και εν σαλπιγξιν και εν κυμβαλοις αναφωνουντες ναβλαις και εν κινυραις
29 Now, as the ark of the covenant of Yahweh entered the City of David, Michal daughter of Saul waswatching from the window and, when she saw King David dancing and playing, the sight of him filled her withcontempt.	29 και εγενετο κιβωτος διαθηκης κυριου και ηλθεν εως πολεως δαυιδ και μελχολ θυγατηρ σαουλ παρεκυψεν δια της θυριδος και ειδεν τον βασιλεα δαυιδ ορχουμενον και παιζοντα και εξουδενωσεν αυτον εν τη ψυχη αυτης
