NEW JERUSALEM	BIBBIA RICCIOTTI
1 After he had put up buildings for himself in the City of David, he prepared a place for the ark of Godand pitched a tent for it.	1 - Davide si costruì delle case nella città di Davide ed edificò un luogo per l'arca di Dio e vi piantò un tabernacolo.
2 David then said, 'No one but the Levites should carry the ark of God, since Yahweh has chosen themto carry the ark of Yahweh and to minister to him for ever.'	2 Allora Davide disse: «Nessuno deve portare l'arca di Dio, tranne i leviti, che il Signore ha scelti per portarla e per essere suoi ministri in eterno».
3 David then summoned al Israel to Jerusalem, to move the ark of Yahweh to the place which he hadprepared for it.	3 Riunì allora tutto Israele in Gerusalemme per portar l'arca di Dio nel luogo che le aveva preparato.
4 David also cal ed the sons of Aaron and the Levites together:	4 Convocò ancora i figli di Aronne e i leviti.
5 of the sons of Kohath: Uriel the chief and his hundred and twenty kinsmen;	5 Dei figli di Caat il principe fu Uriel e i fratelli di lui furono centoventi;
6 of the sons of Merari: Asaiah the chief and his two hundred and twenty kinsmen;	6 dei figli di Merari il principe fu Asaia e i fratelli di lui duecentoventi;
7 of the sons of Gershom: Joel the chief and his hundred and thirty kinsmen;	7 dei figli di Gersom fu principe Joel e i fratelli di lui furono centotrenta;
8 of the sons of Elizaphan: Shemaiah the chief and his two hundred kinsmen;	8 dei figli di Elisafan Semeia fu il principe e i fratelli di lui furono duecento;

11 David then sent for the priests Zadok and Abiathar, and the Levites Uriel, Asaiah, Joel, Shemaiah,Eliel and Amminadab.	11 Chiamò Davide anche Sadoc e Abiatar sacerdoti e i leviti Uriel, Asaia, Joel, Semeia, Eliel e Aminadab,
12 To them he said, 'You are the heads of the levitical families. Sanctify yourselves, you and yourkinsmen, so that you can move the ark of Yahweh, God of Israel, to the place which I have prepared for it.	12 e disse loro: «Voi che siete i principi delle famiglie dei leviti, santificatevi insieme coi vostri fratelli, e portate l'arca del Signore Dio di Israele al luogo che le è stato preparato,
13 Because you were not there the first time, Yahweh our God broke out at us because we did nothandle it properly.'	13 affinchè come da principio, per non essere voi stati presenti, il Signore ci castigò, così non avvenga altrettanto anche al presente, qualora noi facessimo qualche cosa illecita».
14 So the priests and the Levites sanctified themselves, to move the ark of Yahweh, God of Israel,	14 I sacerdoti e i leviti adunque si santificarono per portare l'arca del Signore Dio d'Israele.
15 and the Levites carried the ark of God with the shafts on their shoulders, as Moses had ordered inaccordance with the word of Yahweh.	15 E i figli di Levi portarono l'arca di Dio come avea comandato Mosè dietro l'ordine del Signore sulle loro spalle, per mezzo di bastoni.
16 David also told the heads of the Levites to appoint their kinsmen as singers with the accompanimentof musical instruments, lyres, harps, and cymbals to play joyful y.	16 Disse ancora Davide ai principi dei leviti che stabilissero tra i loro fratelli dei cantori con istrumenti di musica, con liuti, lire, cembali, che dovevano far sonare vigorosamente in segno di gioia.
17 The Levites then appointed Heman son of Joel, Asaph son of Berechiah, one of his brothers, Ethanson of Kushaiah, one of their Merarite kinsmen;	17 Ed essi stabilirono questi leviti: Eman figlio di Joel, e tra i suoi fratelli: Asaf figlio di Barachia; tra i figli di Merari loro fratelli: Etan figlio di Casaia,
18 and with them their kinsmen of the second rank: Zechariah, Uzziel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Unni, Eliab,Benaiah, Maaseiah, Mattithiah, Eliphelehu, Mikneiah, and Obed-Edom and Jehiel the gatekeepers.	18 e con essi i loro fratelli; di second'ordine: Zaccaria, Ben, Jaziel, Semiramot, Jaiel, Ani, Eliab, Banaia, Maasia, Matatia, Elifalu, Macenia, Obededom e Jeiel portieri.

23 Berechiah and Elkanah were gatekeepers for the ark.	23 Barachia e Elcana erano i portieri dell'arca,
24 The priests Shebaniah, Joshaphat, Nethanel, Amasai, Zechariah, Benaiah and Eliezer blew trumpetsbefore the ark of God, while Obed-Edom and Jehiah were also gatekeepers for the ark.	24 mentre Sebenia, Josafat, Natanael, Amasai, Zaccaria, Banaia e Eliezer sacerdoti sonavano colle trombe dinanzi all'arca di Dio e Obededom e Jeia erano portieri dell'arca.
25 David, the elders of Israel and the commanders of the thousands accordingly went, amid greatrejoicing, to bring the ark of the covenant of Yahweh up from Obed-Edom's house,	25 Adunque Davide e tutti gli anziani d'Israele e i tribuni andarono per trasportare con letizia l'arca dell'alleanza del Signore dalla casa di Obededom.
26 and since God was helping the Levites who carried the ark of the covenant of Yahweh, theysacrificed seven bul s and seven rams.	26 Avendo Dio aiutato i leviti, che portavano l'arca dell'alleanza del Signore, furono immolati sette tori e sette arieti.

29 Now, as the ark of the covenant of Yahweh entered the City of David, Michal daughter of Saul waswatching from the window and, when she saw King David dancing and playing, the sight of him filled her withcontempt.	29 Pervenuta che fu l'arca dell'alleanza del Signore fino alla città di Davide, Micol figlia di Saul guardando dalla finestra vide il re Davide, che saltava e danzava e lo disprezzò in cuor suo.
