1 This is the rol of Adam's descendants: On the day that God created Adam he made him in the likenessof God.	1 זֶה סֵפֶר תֹּולְדֹת אָדָם בְּיֹום בְּרֹא אֱלֹהִים אָדָם בִּדְמוּת אֱלֹהִים עָשָׂה אֹתֹו
2 Male and female he created them. He blessed them and gave them the name Man, when they werecreated.	2 זָכָר וּנְקֵבָה בְּרָאָם וַיְבָרֶךְ אֹתָם וַיִּקְרָא אֶת־שְׁמָם אָדָם בְּיֹום הִבָּרְאָם׃ ס
3 When Adam was a hundred and thirty years old he fathered a son, in his likeness, after his image, andhe cal ed him Seth.	3 וַיְחִי אָדָם שְׁלֹשִׁים וּמְאַת שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד בִּדְמוּתֹו כְּצַלְמֹו וַיִּקְרָא אֶת־שְׁמֹו שֵׁת
4 Adam lived for eight hundred years after the birth of Seth and he fathered sons and daughters.	4 וַיִּהְיוּ יְמֵי־אָדָם אַחֲרֵי הֹולִידֹו אֶת־שֵׁת שְׁמֹנֶה מֵאֹת שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד בָּנִים וּבָנֹות
5 In al , Adam lived for nine hundred and thirty years; then he died.	5 וַיִּהְיוּ כָּל־יְמֵי אָדָם אֲשֶׁר־חַי תְּשַׁע מֵאֹות שָׁנָה וּשְׁלֹשִׁים שָׁנָה וַיָּמֹת׃ ס
6 When Seth was a hundred and five years old he fathered Enosh.	6 וַיְחִי־שֵׁת חָמֵשׁ שָׁנִים וּמְאַת שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד אֶת־אֱנֹושׁ
7 After the birth of Enosh, Seth lived for eight hundred and seven years, and he fathered sons anddaughters.	7 וַיְחִי־שֵׁת אַחֲרֵי הֹולִידֹו אֶת־אֱנֹושׁ שֶׁבַע שָׁנִים וּשְׁמֹנֶה מֵאֹות שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד בָּנִים וּבָנֹות
8 In al , Seth lived for nine hundred and twelve years; then he died.	8 וַיִּהְיוּ כָּל־יְמֵי־שֵׁת שְׁתֵּים עֶשְׂרֵה שָׁנָה וּתְשַׁע מֵאֹות שָׁנָה וַיָּמֹת׃ ס
9 When Enosh was ninety years old he fathered Kenan.	9 וַיְחִי אֱנֹושׁ תִּשְׁעִים שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד אֶת־קֵינָן
10 After the birth of Kenan, Enosh lived for eight hundred and fifteen years and he fathered sons anddaughters.	10 וַיְחִי אֱנֹושׁ אַחֲרֵי הֹולִידֹו אֶת־קֵינָן חֲמֵשׁ עֶשְׂרֵה שָׁנָה וּשְׁמֹנֶה מֵאֹות שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד בָּנִים וּבָנֹות
11 In al , Enosh lived for nine hundred and five years; then he died.	11 וַיִּהְיוּ כָּל־יְמֵי אֱנֹושׁ חָמֵשׁ שָׁנִים וּתְשַׁע מֵאֹות שָׁנָה וַיָּמֹת׃ ס
12 When Kenan was seventy years old he fathered Mahalalel.	12 וַיְחִי קֵינָן שִׁבְעִים שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד אֶת־מַהֲלַלְאֵל
13 After the birth of Mahalalel, Kenan lived for eight hundred and forty years and he fathered sons anddaughters.	13 וַיְחִי קֵינָן אַחֲרֵי הֹולִידֹו אֶת־מַהֲלַלְאֵל אַרְבָּעִים שָׁנָה וּשְׁמֹנֶה מֵאֹות שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד בָּנִים וּבָנֹות
14 In al , Kenan lived for nine hundred and ten years; then he died.	14 וַיִּהְיוּ כָּל־יְמֵי קֵינָן עֶשֶׂר שָׁנִים וּתְשַׁע מֵאֹות שָׁנָה וַיָּמֹת׃ ס
15 When Mahalalel was sixty-five years old he fathered Jared.	15 וַיְחִי מַהֲלַלְאֵל חָמֵשׁ שָׁנִים וְשִׁשִּׁים שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד אֶת־יָרֶד
16 After the birth of Jared, Mahalalel lived for eight hundred and thirty years and he fathered sons anddaughters.	16 וַיְחִי מַהֲלַלְאֵל אַחֲרֵי הֹולִידֹו אֶת־יֶרֶד שְׁלֹשִׁים שָׁנָה וּשְׁמֹנֶה מֵאֹות שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד בָּנִים וּבָנֹות
17 In al , Mahalalel lived for eight hundred and ninety-five years; then he died.	17 וַיִּהְיוּ כָּל־יְמֵי מַהֲלַלְאֵל חָמֵשׁ וְתִשְׁעִים שָׁנָה וּשְׁמֹנֶה מֵאֹות שָׁנָה וַיָּמֹת׃ ס
18 When Jared was a hundred and sixty-two years old he fathered Enoch.	18 וַיְחִי־יֶרֶד שְׁתַּיִם וְשִׁשִּׁים שָׁנָה וּמְאַת שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד אֶת־חֲנֹוךְ
19 After the birth of Enoch, Jared lived for eight hundred years and he fathered sons and daughters.	19 וַיְחִי־יֶרֶד אַחֲרֵי הֹולִידֹו אֶת־חֲנֹוךְ שְׁמֹנֶה מֵאֹות שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד בָּנִים וּבָנֹות
20 In al , Jared lived for nine hundred and sixty-two years; then he died.	20 וַיִּהְיוּ כָּל־יְמֵי־יֶרֶד שְׁתַּיִם וְשִׁשִּׁים שָׁנָה וּתְשַׁע מֵאֹות שָׁנָה וַיָּמֹת׃ פ
21 When Enoch was sixty-five years old he fathered Methuselah.	21 וַיְחִי חֲנֹוךְ חָמֵשׁ וְשִׁשִּׁים שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד אֶת־מְתוּשָׁלַח
22 Enoch walked with God. After the birth of Methuselah, Enoch lived for three hundred years and hefathered sons and daughters.	22 וַיִּתְהַלֵּךְ חֲנֹוךְ אֶת־הָאֱלֹהִים אַחֲרֵי הֹולִידֹו אֶת־מְתוּשֶׁלַח שְׁלֹשׁ מֵאֹות שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד בָּנִים וּבָנֹות
23 In al , Enoch lived for three hundred and sixty-five years.	23 וַיְהִי כָּל־יְמֵי חֲנֹוךְ חָמֵשׁ וְשִׁשִּׁים שָׁנָה וּשְׁלֹשׁ מֵאֹות שָׁנָה
24 Enoch walked with God, then was no more, because God took him.	24 וַיִּתְהַלֵּךְ חֲנֹוךְ אֶת־הָאֱלֹהִים וְאֵינֶנּוּ כִּי־לָקַח אֹתֹו אֱלֹהִים׃ פ
25 When Methuselah was a hundred and eighty-seven years old he fathered Lamech.	25 וַיְחִי מְתוּשֶׁלַח שֶׁבַע וּשְׁמֹנִים שָׁנָה וּמְאַת שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד אֶת־לָמֶךְ
26 After the birth of Lamech, Methuselah lived for seven hundred and eighty-two years and he fatheredsons and daughters.	26 וַיְחִי מְתוּשֶׁלַח אַחֲרֵי הֹולִידֹו אֶת־לֶמֶךְ שְׁתַּיִם וּשְׁמֹונִים שָׁנָה וּשְׁבַע מֵאֹות שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד בָּנִים וּבָנֹות
27 In al , Methuselah lived for nine hundred and sixty-nine years; then he died.	27 וַיִּהְיוּ כָּל־יְמֵי מְתוּשֶׁלַח תֵּשַׁע וְשִׁשִּׁים שָׁנָה וּתְשַׁע מֵאֹות שָׁנָה וַיָּמֹת׃ פ
28 When Lamech was a hundred and eighty-two years old he fathered a son.	28 וַיְחִי־לֶמֶךְ שְׁתַּיִם וּשְׁמֹנִים שָׁנָה וּמְאַת שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד בֵּן
29 He gave him the name Noah because, he said, 'Here is one who wil give us, in the midst of our toiland the labouring of our hands, a consolation out of the very soil that Yahweh cursed.'	29 וַיִּקְרָא אֶת־שְׁמֹו נֹחַ לֵאמֹר זֶה יְנַחֲמֵנוּ מִמַּעֲשֵׂנוּ וּמֵעִצְּבֹון יָדֵינוּ מִן־הָאֲדָמָה אֲשֶׁר אֵרְרָהּ יְהוָה
30 After the birth of Noah, Lamech lived for five hundred and ninety-five years and fathered sons anddaughters.	30 וַיְחִי־לֶמֶךְ אַחֲרֵי הֹולִידֹו אֶת־נֹחַ חָמֵשׁ וְתִשְׁעִים שָׁנָה וַחֲמֵשׁ מֵאֹת שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד בָּנִים וּבָנֹות
31 In al , Lamech lived for seven hundred and seventy-seven years; then he died.	31 וַיְהִי כָּל־יְמֵי־לֶמֶךְ שֶׁבַע וְשִׁבְעִים שָׁנָה וּשְׁבַע מֵאֹות שָׁנָה וַיָּמֹת׃ ס
32 When Noah was five hundred years old he fathered Shem, Ham and Japheth.	32 וַיְהִי־נֹחַ בֶּן־חֲמֵשׁ מֵאֹות שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד נֹחַ אֶת־שֵׁם אֶת־חָם וְאֶת־יָפֶת
