1 These are the descendants of Esau, that is, Edom.	1 Eis a descendência de Esaú, também chamado Edom.
2 Esau chose his wives from the women of Canaan: Adah daughter of Elon the Hittite, Oholibamahdaughter of Anah, son of Zibeon the Horite,	2 Esaú tomou suas mulheres entre as filhas de Canaã: Ada, filha de Elon, o hiteu; Oolibama, filha de Ana, filha de Sebeon, o heveu;
3 Basemath daughter of Ishmael and sister of Nebaioth.	3 e Basemat, filha de Ismael, irmã de Nabaiot.
4 Adah bore Eliphaz to Esau, Basemath bore Reuel,	4 Ada deu a Esaú, Elifaz; Basemat deu à luz Rauel, e Oolibama deu à luz Jeus, Ielon e Coré.
5 Oholibamah bore Jeush, Jalam and Korah. These were the sons of Esau born to him in Canaan.	5 Tais são os filhos nascidos a Esaú na terra de Canaã.
6 Esau took his wives, his sons and daughters, al the members of his household, his livestock, al hiscattle and al the goods he had acquired in Canaan and left for Seir, away from his brother Jacob.	6 Esaú tomou suas mulheres, seus filhos e suas filhas, assim como todo o seu pessoal, seus rebanhos, seus animais e todos os bens que tinha adquirido na terra de Canaã, e mudou-se para longe de seu irmão Jacó.
7 For they had acquired too much to live together. 8 That is why Edom settled in the mountainous region of Seir. Esau is Edom.	8 Esaú estabeleceu-se na montanha de Seir. Esaú chamava-se também Edom.
9 These are the descendants of Esau, ancestor of Edom, in the mountainous region of Seir.	9 Eis a descendência de Esaú, pai de Edom, na montanha de Seir.
10 These are the names of Esau's sons: Eliphaz son of Esau's wife Adah, and Reuel son of Esau's wifeBasemath.	10 Estes são os nomes dos filhos de Esaú: Elifaz, filho de Ada, mulher de Esaú; Rauel, filho de Basemat, mulher de Esaú.
11 The sons of Eliphaz were: Teman, Omar, Zepho, Gatam and Kenaz.	11 Os filhos de Elifaz foram: Temã, Omar, Sefo, Gatão e Cenez.
12 Eliphaz son of Esau had Timna for concubine and she bore him Amalek. These were the sons ofEsau's wife Adah.	12 Elifaz, filho de Esaú, tomou uma concubina, Tamna que lhe deu à luz Amalec. Estes são os filhos de Ada, mulher de Esaú.
