Psalms 91

NEW AMERICAN BIBLE	NOVA VULGATA
1 You who dwell in the shelter of the Most High, who abide in the shadow of the Almighty,	1 Qui habitat in protectione Altissimi, sub umbra Omnipotentis commorabitur.
2 Say to the LORD, "My refuge and fortress, my God in whom I trust."	2 Dicet Domino: “ Refugium meum et fortitudo mea, Deus meus, sperabo in eum ”.
3 God will rescue you from the fowler's snare, from the destroying plague,	3 Quoniam ipse liberabit te de laqueo venantium et a verbo maligno.
4 Will shelter you with pinions, spread wings that you may take refuge; God's faithfulness is a protecting shield.	4 Alis suis obumbrabit tibi, et sub pennas eius confugies; scutum et lorica veritas eius.
5 You shall not fear the terror of the night nor the arrow that flies by day,	5 Non timebis a timore nocturno, a sagitta volante in die,
6 Nor the pestilence that roams in darkness, nor the plague that ravages at noon.	6 a peste perambulante in tenebris, ab exterminio vastante in meridie.
7 Though a thousand fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, near you it shall not come.	7 Cadent a latere tuo mille et decem milia a dextris tuis; ad te autem non appropinquabit.
8 You need simply watch; the punishment of the wicked you will see.	8 Verumtamen oculis tuis considerabis et retributionem peccatorum videbis.
9 You have the LORD for your refuge; you have made the Most High your stronghold.	9 Quoniam tu es, Domine, refugium meum. Altissimum posuisti habitaculum tuum.
10 No evil shall befall you, no affliction come near your tent.	10 Non accedet ad te malum, et flagellum non appropinquabit tabernaculo tuo,
11 For God commands the angels to guard you in all your ways.	11 quoniam angelis suis mandabit de te, ut custodiant te in omnibus viis tuis.
12 With their hands they shall support you, lest you strike your foot against a stone.	12 In manibus portabunt te, ne forte offendas ad lapidem pedem tuum.
13 You shall tread upon the asp and the viper, trample the lion and the dragon.	13 Super aspidem et basiliscum ambulabis et conculcabis leonem et draconem.
14 Whoever clings to me I will deliver; whoever knows my name I will set on high.	14 Quoniam mihi adhaesit, liberabo eum; suscipiam eum, quoniam cognovit nomen meum.
15 All who call upon me I will answer; I will be with them in distress; I will deliver them and give them honor.	15 Clamabit ad me, et ego exaudiam eum; cum ipso sum in tribulatione; eripiam eum et glorificabo eum.
16 With length of days I will satisfy them and show them my saving power.	16 Longitudine dierum replebo eum et ostendam illi salutare meum.
