NEW AMERICAN BIBLELXX
The prayer of one afflicted and wasting away whose anguish is poured out before the LORD.1 τω δαυιδ ευλογει η ψυχη μου τον κυριον και παντα τα εντος μου το ονομα το αγιον αυτου
LORD, hear my prayer; let my cry come to you.2 ευλογει η ψυχη μου τον κυριον και μη επιλανθανου πασας τας ανταποδοσεις αυτου
Do not hide your face from me now that I am in distress. Turn your ear to me; when I call, answer me quickly.3 τον ευιλατευοντα πασαις ταις ανομιαις σου τον ιωμενον πασας τας νοσους σου
For my days vanish like smoke; my bones burn away as in a furnace.4 τον λυτρουμενον εκ φθορας την ζωην σου τον στεφανουντα σε εν ελεει και οικτιρμοις
I am withered, dried up like grass, too wasted to eat my food.5 τον εμπιπλωντα εν αγαθοις την επιθυμιαν σου ανακαινισθησεται ως αετου η νεοτης σου
From my loud groaning I become just skin and bones.6 ποιων ελεημοσυνας ο κυριος και κριμα πασι τοις αδικουμενοις
I am like a desert owl, like an owl among the ruins.7 εγνωρισεν τας οδους αυτου τω μωυση τοις υιοις ισραηλ τα θεληματα αυτου
I lie awake and moan, like a lone sparrow on the roof.8 οικτιρμων και ελεημων ο κυριος μακροθυμος και πολυελεος
All day long my enemies taunt me; in their rage, they make my name a curse.9 ουκ εις τελος οργισθησεται ουδε εις τον αιωνα μηνιει
I eat ashes like bread, mingle my drink with tears.10 ου κατα τας αμαρτιας ημων εποιησεν ημιν ουδε κατα τας ανομιας ημων ανταπεδωκεν ημιν
Because of your furious wrath, you lifted me up just to cast me down.11 οτι κατα το υψος του ουρανου απο της γης εκραταιωσεν κυριος το ελεος αυτου επι τους φοβουμενους αυτον
My days are like a lengthening shadow; I wither like the grass.12 καθ' οσον απεχουσιν ανατολαι απο δυσμων εμακρυνεν αφ' ημων τας ανομιας ημων
But you, LORD, are enthroned forever; your renown is for all generations.13 καθως οικτιρει πατηρ υιους οικτιρησεν κυριος τους φοβουμενους αυτον
You will again show mercy to Zion; now is the time for pity; the appointed time has come.14 οτι αυτος εγνω το πλασμα ημων μνησθητι οτι χους εσμεν
Its stones are dear to your servants; its dust moves them to pity.15 ανθρωπος ωσει χορτος αι ημεραι αυτου ωσει ανθος του αγρου ουτως εξανθησει
The nations shall revere your name, LORD, all the kings of the earth, your glory,16 οτι πνευμα διηλθεν εν αυτω και ουχ υπαρξει και ουκ επιγνωσεται ετι τον τοπον αυτου
Once the LORD has rebuilt Zion and appeared in glory,17 το δε ελεος του κυριου απο του αιωνος και εως του αιωνος επι τους φοβουμενους αυτον και η δικαιοσυνη αυτου επι υιους υιων
Heeding the plea of the lowly, not scorning their prayer.18 τοις φυλασσουσιν την διαθηκην αυτου και μεμνημενοις των εντολων αυτου του ποιησαι αυτας
Let this be written for the next generation, for a people not yet born, that they may praise the LORD:19 κυριος εν τω ουρανω ητοιμασεν τον θρονον αυτου και η βασιλεια αυτου παντων δεσποζει
"The LORD looked down from the holy heights, viewed the earth from heaven,20 ευλογειτε τον κυριον παντες οι αγγελοι αυτου δυνατοι ισχυι ποιουντες τον λογον αυτου του ακουσαι της φωνης των λογων αυτου
To attend to the groaning of the prisoners, to release those doomed to die."21 ευλογειτε τον κυριον πασαι αι δυναμεις αυτου λειτουργοι αυτου ποιουντες το θελημα αυτου
Then the LORD'S name will be declared on Zion, the praise of God in Jerusalem,22 ευλογειτε τον κυριον παντα τα εργα αυτου εν παντι τοπω της δεσποτειας αυτου ευλογει η ψυχη μου τον κυριον
When all peoples and kingdoms gather to worship the LORD.
God has shattered my strength in mid-course, has cut short my days.
I plead, O my God, do not take me in the midst of my days. Your years last through all generations.
Of old you laid the earth's foundations; the heavens are the work of your hands.
They perish, but you remain; they all wear out like a garment; Like clothing you change them and they are changed,
but you are the same, your years have no end.
May the children of your servants live on; may their descendants live in your presence.
