Psalms 102

1 The prayer of one afflicted and wasting away whose anguish is poured out before the LORD.	1 Oración del afligido que, en su angustia, derrama su llanto ante el Señor.
2 LORD, hear my prayer; let my cry come to you.	2 Señor, escucha mi oración y llegue a ti mi clamor;
3 Do not hide your face from me now that I am in distress. Turn your ear to me; when I call, answer me quickly.	3 no me ocultes tu rostro en el momento del peligro; inclina hacia mí tu oído, respóndeme pronto, cuando te invoco.
4 For my days vanish like smoke; my bones burn away as in a furnace.	4 Porque mis días se disipan como el humo, y mis huesos arden como brasas;
5 I am withered, dried up like grass, too wasted to eat my food.	5 mi corazón se seca, marchitado como la hierba, ¡y hasta me olvido de comer mi pan!
6 From my loud groaning I become just skin and bones.	6 Los huesos se me pegan a la piel, por la violencia de mis gemidos.
7 I am like a desert owl, like an owl among the ruins.	7 Me parezco a una lechuza del desierto, soy como el búho entre las ruinas;
8 I lie awake and moan, like a lone sparrow on the roof.	8 estoy desvelado, y me lamento como un pájaro solitario en el tejado;
9 All day long my enemies taunt me; in their rage, they make my name a curse.	9 mis enemigos me insultan sin cesar, y enfurecidos, me cubren de imprecaciones.
10 I eat ashes like bread, mingle my drink with tears.	10 Yo como ceniza en vez de pan y mezclo mi bebida con lágrimas,
11 Because of your furious wrath, you lifted me up just to cast me down.	11 a causa de tu indignación y tu furor, porque me alzaste en alto y me arrojaste.
12 My days are like a lengthening shadow; I wither like the grass.	12 Mis días son como sombras que se agrandan, y me voy secando como la hierba.
13 But you, LORD, are enthroned forever; your renown is for all generations.	13 Pero tú, Señor, reinas para siempre, y tu Nombre permanece eternamente.
14 You will again show mercy to Zion; now is the time for pity; the appointed time has come.	14 Tú te levantarás, te compadecerás de Sión, porque ya es hora de tenerle piedad, ya ha llegado el momento señalado:
15 Its stones are dear to your servants; its dust moves them to pity.	15 tus servidores sienten amor por esas piedras y se compadecen de esas ruinas.
16 The nations shall revere your name, LORD, all the kings of the earth, your glory,	16 Las naciones temerán tu Nombre, Señor, y los reyes de la tierra se rendirán ante tu gloria:
17 Once the LORD has rebuilt Zion and appeared in glory,	17 cuando el Señor reedifique a Sión y aparezca glorioso en medio de ella;
18 Heeding the plea of the lowly, not scorning their prayer.	18 cuando acepte la oración del desvalido y no desprecie su plegaria.
19 Let this be written for the next generation, for a people not yet born, that they may praise the LORD:	19 Quede esto escrito para el tiempo futuro y un pueblo renovado alabe al Señor:
20 "The LORD looked down from the holy heights, viewed the earth from heaven,	20 porque él se inclinó desde su alto Santuario y miró a la tierra desde el cielo,
21 To attend to the groaning of the prisoners, to release those doomed to die."	21 para escuchar el lamento de los cautivos y librar a los condenados a muerte.
22 Then the LORD'S name will be declared on Zion, the praise of God in Jerusalem,	22 para proclamar en Sión el nombre del Señor y su alabanza en Jerusalén,
23 When all peoples and kingdoms gather to worship the LORD.	23 cuando se reúnan los pueblos y los reinos, y sirvan todos juntos al Señor.
24 God has shattered my strength in mid-course, has cut short my days.	24 Mis fuerzas se debilitaron por el camino y se abreviaron mis días;
25 I plead, O my God, do not take me in the midst of my days. Your years last through all generations.	25 pero yo digo: «Dios mío, no me lleves en la mitad de mi vida, tú que permaneces para siempre».
26 Of old you laid the earth's foundations; the heavens are the work of your hands.	26 En tiempos remotos, fundaste la tierra, y el cielo es obra de tus manos;
27 They perish, but you remain; they all wear out like a garment; Like clothing you change them and they are changed,	27 ellos se acaban, y tú permaneces: se desgastan lo mismo que la ropa, los cambias como a un vestido, y ellos pasan.
28 but you are the same, your years have no end.	28 Tú, en cambio, eres siempre el mismo, y tus años no tienen fin.
29 May the children of your servants live on; may their descendants live in your presence.	29 Los hijos de tus servidores tendrán una morada y su descendencia estará segura ante ti.
