1 And the LORD spake unto Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, in the tabernacle of the congregation, on the first day of the second month, in the second year after they were come out of the land of Egypt, saying,	1 La seconde année après la sortie des enfants d'Israël hors de l'Egypte, le premier jour du second mois, le Seigneur parla à Moïse au désert du Sinaï, dans le tabernacle de l'alliance, et lui dit:
2 Take ye the sum of all the congregation of the children of Israel, after their families, by the house of their fathers, with the number of their names, every male by their polls;	2 Faites un dénombrement de toute l'assemblée des enfants d'Israël selon leurs familles, leurs maisons et leurs noms; faites-le de tous les mâles
3 From twenty years old and upward, all that are able to go forth to war in Israel: thou and Aaron shall number them by their armies.	3 Depuis vingt ans et au-dessus, de tous les hommes forts d'Israël; vous les compterez tous selon leurs bataillons, vous et Aaron,
4 And with you there shall be a man of every tribe; every one head of the house of his fathers.	4 Et avec vous seront ceux qui sont, dans leurs familles, les princes de leurs tribus et de leurs maisons.
5 And these are the names of the men that shall stand with you: of the tribe of Reuben; Elizur the son of Shedeur.	5 Voici leurs noms: De la tribu de Ruben, Elisur fils de Sédéür.
6 Of Simeon; Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai.	6 De la tribu de Siméon, Salamiel fils de Surisaddaï.
7 Of Judah; Nahshon the son of Amminadab.	7 De la tribu de Juda, Nahasson fils d'Aminadab.
8 Of Issachar; Nethaneel the son of Zuar.	8 De la tribu d'Issachar, Nathanaël fils de Suar.
9 Of Zebulun; Eliab the son of Helon.	9 De la tribu de Zabulon, Eliab fils d'Hélon.
10 Of the children of Joseph: of Ephraim; Elishama the son of Ammihud: of Manasseh; Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur.	10 Et pour les enfants de Joseph: D'Ephraïm, Elisama fils d'Ammiud; de Manassé, Gamaliel fils de Phadassur.
11 Of Benjamin; Abidan the son of Gideoni.	11 De Benjamin, Abidan fils de Gédéon.
12 Of Dan; Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai.	12 De Dan, Ahiézer fils d'Ammisaddaï.
13 Of Asher; Pagiel the son of Ocran.	13 D'Azer, Phégiel fils d'Ochran.
14 Of Gad; Eliasaph the son of Deuel.	14 De Gad, Eliasaph fils de Duel.
15 Of Naphtali; Ahira the son of Enan.	15 De Nephthali, Ahira fils d'Enan.
16 These were the renowned of the congregation, princes of the tribes of their fathers, heads of thousands in Israel.	16 C'étaient là les princes du peuple les plus illustres dans leurs tribus et dans leurs familles, et les principaux chefs de l'armée d'Israël.
17 And Moses and Aaron took these men which are expressed by their names:	17 Moïse et Aaron, les ayant pris avec toute la multitude du peuple,
18 And they assembled all the congregation together on the first day of the second month, and they declared their pedigrees after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, by their polls.	18 Les assemblèrent au premier jour du second mois, et en firent le dénombrement d'après les généalogies, les maisons et les familles, en comptant chaque personne et prenant le nom de chacun, depuis vingt ans et au-dessus,
19 As the LORD commanded Moses, so he numbered them in the wilderness of Sinai.	19 Selon que le Seigneur l'avait ordonné à Moïse. Le dénombrement se fit dans le désert du Sinaï.
20 And the children of Reuben, Israel's eldest son, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, by their polls, every male from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;	20 On fit le dénombrement de la tribu de Ruben, fils aîné d'Israël. Tous les mâles depuis vingt ans et au-dessus, qui pouvaient aller à la guerre, furent comptés selon leur généalogie, leurs familles et leurs maisons, et tous ayant été inscrits par leurs noms,
21 Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Reuben, were forty and six thousand and five hundred.	21 Il s'en trouva quarante-six mille cinq cents.
22 Of the children of Simeon, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, those that were numbered of them, according to the number of the names, by their polls, every male from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;	22 On fit le dénombrement des enfants de Siméon. Tous les mâles depuis vingt ans et au-dessus, qui pouvaient aller à la guerre, furent comptés selon leur généalogie, leurs familles et leurs maisons, et étant tous inscrits par leur noms,
23 Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Simeon, were fifty and nine thousand and three hundred.	23 Il s'en trouva cinquante-neuf mille trois cents.
24 Of the children of Gad, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;	24 On fit le dénombrement des enfants de Gad. Tous ceux qui avaient vingt ans et au-dessus, et qui pouvaient aller à la guerre, furent comptés par tiges, par familles et par maisons, et étant tous inscrits par leurs noms,
25 Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Gad, were forty and five thousand six hundred and fifty.	25 Il s'en trouva quarante-cinq mille six cent cinquante.
26 Of the children of Judah, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;	26 On fit le dénombrement des enfants de Juda. Tous ceux qui avaient vingt ans et au-dessus, et qui pouvaient aller à la guerre, furent comptés par tiges, par familles et par maisons, et étant tous marqués par leur propre nom,
27 Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Judah, were threescore and fourteen thousand and six hundred.	27 Il s'en trouva soixante-quatorze mille six cents.
28 Of the children of Issachar, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;	28 On fit le dénombrement des enfants d'Issachar. Tous ceux qui avaient vingt ans et au-dessus, et qui pouvaient aller à la guerre, furent comptés par tiges, par familles et par maisons, et étant tous marqués par leur propre nom,
29 Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Issachar, were fifty and four thousand and four hundred.	29 Il s'en trouva cinquante-quatre mille quatre cents.
30 Of the children of Zebulun, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;	30 On fit le dénombrement des enfants de Zabulon. Tous ceux qui avaient vingt ans et au-dessus, et qui pouvaient aller à la guerre, furent comptés par tiges, par familles et par maisons, et étant tous marqués par leur propre nom,
31 Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Zebulun, were fifty and seven thousand and four hundred.	31 Il s'en trouva cinquante-sept mille quatre cents.
32 Of the children of Joseph, namely, of the children of Ephraim, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;	32 On fit le dénombrement des enfants de Joseph, et premièrement des enfants d'Ephraïm. Tous ceux de cette tribu qui avaient vingt ans et au-dessus, et qui pouvaient aller à la guerre, ayant été comptés par tiges, par familles et par maisons, et étant tous marqués par leur propre nom,
33 Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Ephraim, were forty thousand and five hundred.	33 Il s'en trouva quarante mille cinq cents.
34 Of the children of Manasseh, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;	34 On fit ensuite le dénombrement des enfants de Manassé; et tous ceux qui avaient vingt ans et au-dessus, et qui pouvaient aller à la guerre, ayant été comptés selon leur généalogie, leurs familles et leurs maisons, et étant tous marqués par leur propre nom,
35 Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Manasseh, were thirty and two thousand and two hundred.	35 Il s'en trouva trente-deux mille deux cents.
36 Of the children of Benjamin, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;	36 On fit le dénombrement des enfants de Benjamin; et tous ceux qui avaient vingt ans et au-dessus, et qui pouvaient aller à la guerre, ayant été par tiges, par familles et par maisons, et étant tous marqués par leur propre nom,
37 Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Benjamin, were thirty and five thousand and four hundred.	37 Il s'en trouva trente-cinq mille quatre cents.
38 Of the children of Dan, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;	38 On fit le dénombrement des enfants de Dan; et tous ceux qui avaient vingt ans et au-dessus, et qui pouvaient aller à la guerre, ayant été comptés par tiges, par familles et par maisons, et étant tous marqués par leur propre nom,
39 Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Dan, were threescore and two thousand and seven hundred.	39 Il s'en trouva soixante-deux mille sept cents.
40 Of the children of Asher, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;	40 On fit le dénombrement des enfants d'Aser; et tous ceux qui avaient vingt ans et au-dessus, et qui pouvaient aller à la guerre, ayant été comptés par tiges, par familles et par maisons, et étant tous marqués par leur propre nom,
41 Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Asher, were forty and one thousand and five hundred.	41 Il s'en trouva quarante et un mille cinq cents.
42 Of the children of Naphtali, throughout their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;	42 On fit le dénombrement des enfants de Nephthali; et tous ceux qui avaient vingt ans et au-dessus, et qui pouvaient aller à la guerre, ayant été comptés par tiges, par familles et par maisons, et étant tous marqués par leur propre nom,
43 Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Naphtali, were fifty and three thousand and four hundred.	43 Il s'en trouva cinquante-trois mille quatre cents.
44 These are those that were numbered, which Moses and Aaron numbered, and the princes of Israel, being twelve men: each one was for the house of his fathers.	44 C'est là le dénombrement des enfants d'Israël, qui fut fait par Moïse, par Aaron et par les douze princes d'Israël, chacun étant marqué d'après sa maison et d'après sa famille.
45 So were all those that were numbered of the children of Israel, by the house of their fathers, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war in Israel;	45 Et le compte des enfants d'Israël, qui avaient vingt ans et au-dessus, et qui pouvaient aller à la guerre, ayant été fait par maisons et par familles,
46 Even all they that were numbered were six hundred thousand and three thousand and five hundred and fifty.	46 Il s'en trouva en tout six cent trois mille cinq cent cinquante.
47 But the Levites after the tribe of their fathers were not numbered among them.	47 Mais les Lévites ne furent point comptés parmi eux selon les familles de leur tribu.
48 For the LORD had spoken unto Moses, saying,	48 Car le Seigneur parla à Moïse, et lui dit:
49 Only thou shalt not number the tribe of Levi, neither take the sum of them among the children of Israel:	49 Ne faites point le dénombrement de la tribu de Lévi, et n'en marquez point le nombre avec celui des enfants d'Israël;
50 But thou shalt appoint the Levites over the tabernacle of testimony, and over all the vessels thereof, and over all things that belong to it: they shall bear the tabernacle, and all the vessels thereof; and they shall minister unto it, and shall encamp round about the tabernacle.	50 Mais établissez-les pour avoir soin du tabernacle du témoignage, de tous ses vases et de tout ce qui regarde les cérémonies. Ils porteront eux-mêmes le tabernacle et tout ce qui sert à son usage; ils s'emploieront au ministère du Seigneur, et ils camperont autour du tabernacle.
51 And when the tabernacle setteth forward, the Levites shall take it down: and when the tabernacle is to be pitched, the Levites shall set it up: and the stranger that cometh nigh shall be put to death.	51 Lorsqu'il faudra partir, les Lévites démonteront le tabernacle; lorsqu'il faudra camper, ils le dresseront. Si quelque étranger se joint à eux, il sera puni de mort.
52 And the children of Israel shall pitch their tents, every man by his own camp, and every man by his own standard, throughout their hosts.	52 Les enfants d'Israël camperont tous selon les diverses compagnies et les divers bataillons dont leurs troupes seront composées.
53 But the Levites shall pitch round about the tabernacle of testimony, that there be no wrath upon the congregation of the children of Israel: and the Levites shall keep the charge of the tabernacle of testimony.	53 Mais les Lévites dresseront leurs tentes autour du tabernacle, de peur que l'indignation ne tombe sur la multitude des enfants d'Israël, et ils veilleront à la garde du tabernacle du témoignage.
54 And the children of Israel did according to all that the LORD commanded Moses, so did they.	54 Les enfants d'Israël exécutèrent donc toutes les choses que le Seigneur avait ordonnées à Moïse.
