LORD, thou hast been favourable unto thy land: thou hast brought back the captivity of Jacob. | 1 Magistro chori. Filiorum Core. Psalmus. |
Thou hast forgiven the iniquity of thy people, thou hast covered all their sin. Selah. | 2 Complacuisti tibi, Domine, in terra tua, convertisti captivitatem Iacob. |
Thou hast taken away all thy wrath: thou hast turned thyself from the fierceness of thine anger. | 3 Remisisti iniquitatem plebis tuae, operuisti omnia peccata eorum. |
Turn us, O God of our salvation, and cause thine anger toward us to cease. | 4 Contraxisti omnem iram tuam, revertisti a furore indignationis tuae. |
Wilt thou be angry with us for ever? wilt thou draw out thine anger to all generations? | 5 Converte nos, Deus, salutaris noster, et averte iram tuam a nobis. |
Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee? | 6 Numquid in aeternum irasceris nobis aut extendes iram tuam a generatione in generationem? |
Shew us thy mercy, O LORD, and grant us thy salvation. | 7 Nonne tu conversus vivificabis nos, et plebs tua laetabitur in te? |
I will hear what God the LORD will speak: for he will speak peace unto his people, and to his saints: but let them not turn again to folly. | 8 Ostende nobis, Domine, misericordiam tuam et salutare tuum da nobis. |
Surely his salvation is nigh them that fear him; that glory may dwell in our land. | 9 Audiam, quid loquatur Dominus Deus, quoniam loquetur pacem ad plebem suam et sanctos suos et ad eos, qui convertuntur corde. |
Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other. | 10 Vere prope timentes eum salutare ipsius, ut inhabitet gloria in terra nostra. |
Truth shall spring out of the earth; and righteousness shall look down from heaven. | 11 Misericordia et veritas obviaverunt sibi, iustitia et pax osculatae sunt. |
Yea, the LORD shall give that which is good; and our land shall yield her increase. | 12 Veritas de terra orta est, et iustitia de caelo prospexit. |
Righteousness shall go before him; and shall set us in the way of his steps. | 13 Etenim Dominus dabit benignitatem, et terra nostra dabit fructum suum. |
Iustitia ante eum ambulabit et ponet in via gressus suos. |
