Psalms 85

1 LORD, thou hast been favourable unto thy land: thou hast brought back the captivity of Jacob.	1 Del maestro de coro. De los hijos de Coré. Salmo.
2 Thou hast forgiven the iniquity of thy people, thou hast covered all their sin. Selah.	2 Propicio has sido, Yahveh, con tu tierra, has hecho volver a los cautivos de Jacob;
3 Thou hast taken away all thy wrath: thou hast turned thyself from the fierceness of thine anger.	3 has quitado la culpa de tu pueblo, has cubierto todos sus pecados, Pausa.
4 Turn us, O God of our salvation, and cause thine anger toward us to cease.	4 has retirado todo tu furor, has desistido del ardor de tu cólera.
5 Wilt thou be angry with us for ever? wilt thou draw out thine anger to all generations?	5 ¡Haznos volver, Dios de nuestra salvación, cesa en tu irritación contra nosotros!
6 Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee?	6 ¿Vas a estar siempre airado con nosotros? ¿Prolongarás tu cólera de edad en edad?
7 Shew us thy mercy, O LORD, and grant us thy salvation.	7 ¿No volverás a darnos vida para que tu pueblo en ti se regocije?
8 I will hear what God the LORD will speak: for he will speak peace unto his people, and to his saints: but let them not turn again to folly.	8 ¡Muéstranos tu amor, Yahveh, y danos tu salvación!
9 Surely his salvation is nigh them that fear him; that glory may dwell in our land.	9 Voy a escuchar de qué habla Dios. Sí, Yahveh habla de paz para su pueblo y para sus amigos, con tal que a su torpeza no retornen.
10 Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other.	10 Ya está cerca su salvación para quienes le temen, y la Gloria morará en nuestra tierra.
11 Truth shall spring out of the earth; and righteousness shall look down from heaven.	11 Amor y Verdad se han dado cita, Justicia y Paz se abrazan;
12 Yea, the LORD shall give that which is good; and our land shall yield her increase.	12 la Verdad brotará de la tierra, y de los cielos se asomará la Justicia.
13 Righteousness shall go before him; and shall set us in the way of his steps.	13 El mismo Yahveh dará la dicha, y nuestra tierra su cosecha dará;
	14 La Justicia marchará delante de él, y con sus pasos trazará un camino.
