¹ Praise waiteth for thee, O God, in Sion: and unto thee shall the vow be performed.	¹ [Für den Chormeister. Ein Psalm Davids. Ein Lied.]
² O thou that hearest prayer, unto thee shall all flesh come.	² Dir gebührt Lobgesang, Gott, auf dem Zion, dir erfüllt man Gelübde.
³ Iniquities prevail against me: as for our transgressions, thou shalt purge them away.	³ Du erhörst die Gebete. Alle Menschen kommen zu dir
⁴ Blessed is the man whom thou choosest, and causest to approach unto thee, that he may dwell in thy courts: we shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, even of thy holy temple.	⁴ unter der Last ihrer Sünden. Unsere Schuld ist zu groß für uns, du wirst sie vergeben.
⁵ By terrible things in righteousness wilt thou answer us, O God of our salvation; who art the confidence of all the ends of the earth, and of them that are afar off upon the sea:	⁵ Wohl denen, die du erwählst und in deine Nähe holst, die in den Vorhöfen deines Heiligtums wohnen. Wir wollen uns am Gut deines Hauses sättigen, am Gut deines Tempels.
⁶ Which by his strength setteth fast the mountains; being girded with power:	⁶ Du vollbringst erstaunliche Taten, erhörst uns in Treue, du Gott unsres Heiles, du Zuversicht aller Enden der Erde und der fernsten Gestade.
⁷ Which stilleth the noise of the seas, the noise of their waves, and the tumult of the people.	⁷ Du gründest die Berge in deiner Kraft, du gürtest dich mit Stärke.
⁸ They also that dwell in the uttermost parts are afraid at thy tokens: thou makest the outgoings of the morning and evening to rejoice.	⁸ Du stillst das Brausen der Meere, das Brausen ihrer Wogen, das Tosen der Völker.
⁹ Thou visitest the earth, and waterest it: thou greatly enrichest it with the river of God, which is full of water: thou preparest them corn, when thou hast so provided for it.	⁹ Alle, die an den Enden der Erde wohnen, erschauern vor deinen Zeichen; Ost und West erfüllst du mit Jubel.
¹⁰ Thou waterest the ridges thereof abundantly: thou settlest the furrows thereof: thou makest it soft with showers: thou blessest the springing thereof.	¹⁰ Du sorgst für das Land und tränkst es; du überschüttest es mit Reichtum. Der Bach Gottes ist reichlich gefüllt, du schaffst ihnen Korn; so ordnest du alles.
¹¹ Thou crownest the year with thy goodness; and thy paths drop fatness.	¹¹ Du tränkst die Furchen, ebnest die Schollen, machst sie weich durch Regen, segnest ihre Gewächse.
¹² They drop upon the pastures of the wilderness: and the little hills rejoice on every side.	¹² Du krönst das Jahr mit deiner Güte, deinen Spuren folgt Überfluss.
¹³ The pastures are clothed with flocks; the valleys also are covered over with corn; they shout for joy, they also sing.	¹³ In der Steppe prangen die Auen, die Höhen umgürten sich mit Jubel.
